Whenever my mom and I are in the neighborhood or even on our way home from work we will stop here to grab some items. One thing about living north of the 15 it is hard to find good fresh carne asada. So when when we want to grill up carne asada off to Paisano it is. Their carne asada is cut thin, hardly any fat, seasoned just right making it very easy and fast to throw on the grill. The meat is always so tender sometimes I like just eating the meat by itself. We also pick up a bag of fresh corn tortillas and queso fresco. All for a very reasonable price. It is a small mom & pop market. They sell many other produce, meats, goodies that you normally wouldn’t find at the bigger grocery stores.

We just moved in down the street from this market, however, we didn’t know there was a market here until tonight. You see, the new pad doesn’t have the laundry hooked up yet. So, we did some laundry the other night at the corner laundromat. And, while doing so grabbed some tacos at this curious taco stand we have been driving by. They offer carne asada, carnitas, and what sounds like cabeza(they didn’t offer us that though, only the patrons who were regulars). We first tried the carne asada, and then went back for some carnitas. The tacos were amazing, and $ 2 a piece. They were loaded with meat, plus you have all of the fixings you want to add on the side table: onions, cilantro, 3 types of salsa, and this mild green sauce. We thought this was just some awesome taco stand discovery, reminiscent of awesome street food in NYC. Lo and behold, this taco stand is affiliated with the neighborhood market and carneceria. After our second taco stand visit this evening, and with this new knowledge, we roam around the corner to the market. Inside, we see an amazing array of produce, staples like rice and tortillas, interesting Mexican beverages, and a corner of the butcher’s station piled high with raw meat(that was a bit strange). However, they also carry Nyquil and some other cold meds, which was perfect since my boyfriend is catching a cold. We also picked up some of his favorite enchilada sauce and some nopales. Yes! We have a local place with fresh veggies and cactus! So, contrary to the previous review, this place has turned itself around in a year. I highly recommend the tacos, and if you live nearby and need a market, I recommend shopping here too.

its well stock i would call it «jungle stock» a little pricey but sometimes no choice its convenience the only thing that bother me. the place its small as it is. months ago there was a guy cooking tacos in the middle of the store, it look so ghetto i just couldn’t believe it. it was hard to get around the people nobody would move, i just said man this is crazzy. i ask the carnisero ‘butcher’ for a couple pounds of meat. he put in a red bag them to top it all off he finish cutting meat with no gloves he hands me the bag all bloody
