I cannot overstate how exceptional my online experience was with Eternal Return Antiquarian Bookshop. From start to finish, I cannot recall a more thorough, professional, and fulfilling experience of purchasing an item on the internet. I’m not a frequent antique book buyer, but I would not hesitate to do business with this retailer again. Absolutely first-​class.

for an inquiry about a book I was interested in. I think I asked for «a picture» of the book. It was later in the evening, so I wasn’t expecting a response until the next day. I received an email within 30 minutes from Jeff, the owner. Attached were 6 high-​quality pictures of the book that showed the cover, the spine, the rear, some of the pages, etc. It was like I was examining the book in person. We communicated through a few emails and I decided that I would make the purchase.
He contacted me first thing the following morning confirming that my book had been shipped. He also included the tracking number. It was sent via USPS Priority Mail from San Diego to LA and arrived in two days, even though the website had estimated 4 – 6 days for expedited shipping. He emailed me again to ensure that I received the package because he had insured it to be received with a signature, but USPS just dropped it on the porch (tsk-​tsk, USPS guy).
This means that he actually tracked the package himself to ensure it was delivered properly. This is an unmistakable sign of quality professionalism that you don’t often see anymore, and it’s what set this transaction apart from my typical online experience. I mean, he had my money, he shipped the book, his end of the transaction was completed. The extra care and attention shown to my order makes me confident that Eternal Return is a reliable, professional business run by someone who cares. You can’t put a price on that. Thank you, Jeff!
