I went here today at the suggestion of my electrician. I thought I knew exactly what I needed, but naturally, I was off by a few details. Anna was incredible! She was completely product knowledgeable and showed me all my options within their inventory. She was a pleasure to work with and made me feel totally confident in her. 5 Star customer service! I walked out with a new fan and wall switch.

Been a customer for almost 20 years, but will never use them again. Bought 2 Casablanca fans which were supposed to include free installation. Salesperson did not inform me of any «asterisks» until installer showed up and said would be an extra $ 75 per fan. Response from store manager was «too bad, read the fine print». I agree with most of the positive comments from others, but ethics and honesty mean something to me. something this business, unfortunately, is lacking.

What’s nice about Fan Diego is they only sell fans, so the employees there know what they are talking about. I was shopping for nicer more stylish looking fans than those carried by Lowes/​HomeDepot. Fan Diego had a great selection of really nice looking fans. With that said, these fans were also more expensive than the Lowes/​HomeDepot fans, but you get what you pay for. I worked with Robert, and he really knew his stuff. I wanted to make sure that I got the right amount of air movement for each room, and I wanted to make sure the fans were whisper quiet in the bedrooms. After my first purchase I was disappointed with the air movement from one of my living room fans. But after talking to Robert we discovered that the fan was mounted to close to the ceiling, and after lowering it a bit the problem was resolved. My next purchases were for the bedrooms and I had several problems with the quality control of the fans I bought. I really liked the design, but it seemed like 50% of the fans had quiet motors and the other had a loud buzzing. I needed 3 total, and I think I ended up swapping out 3 total before finally getting what I wanted. Each time Robert exchanged the fan with no questions asked, and even helped reassemble part of it in the store each time. I was also given some good tips on installing and programming the remotes which wasn’t included in the instructions. Even though it was a hassle having to make several trips to the store to exchange several fans, I can only blame the fan manufacturer for that. I have only good things to say about the service I received at Fan Diego.

We spent a small fortune on 2 fans… but they are well worth it! One of ours was having problems and they exchanged it out no problem at all. They all had good recommendations (I had no idea there were SO many options of fans, colors, sizes etc…)

I purchased a ceiling fan with lights at Fan Diego which they installed some years ago. I felt in choosing Fan Diego I was supporting small business and they would provide good support in return. When my remote stopped working I went to Fan Diego to purchase a replacement remote/​sensor. They said that model was no longer being produced. I asked if there was an updated or universal replacement remote system they could sell me. Since they sold and were familiar with that model it would seem they would have information available on replacement units. Instead they told me to get the model and serial number off the ceiling fan and bring that information to them. My instincts told me something is wrong with this picture. I finally got him to admit that others had come in with the same issue and after sending them home to get the numbers off a fan attached to the ceiling they were not able to help any of them — it was just a run-​around. Perhaps there is no replacement sensor/​universal sensor for my fan and I need to buy a new ceiling fan. Rather they give me a run-​around they could have told me that upfront. I will consult with an electrician to get a straight answer. If I need a new fan I will definitely not buy it from them.

Rob from Fan Diego just rebuilt a 19-​year-​old Casablanca fan, which I was hoping to save because it was purchased by my now-​deceased parents. I originally assumed that I would have to replace it, but Rob told me that he could rebuild the old one. He did so (in about a day), and it works even better than before– and I saved about $ 300 vs. replacing the old fan.

I saw an advertisement in the Union Tribune for a Casablanca fan promotion at Fan Diego. We have had one ceiling fan in our living room for some time, but with this hot weather (and the high air conditioning bill), we thought it was about time to consider fans in some of our other rooms.
We went to the closest Fan Diego location on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and met Andy, the saleman. We ended up purchasing three Casablanca fans, one each for our Master bedroom, our Guest Room, and my office, and an Emerson fan for our Kitchen.
We just had them installed today by John Trivinian of Padre Electric in Poway. John did a fantastic job and we love how all of the fans turned out.
It was very good to work with the folks at Fan Diego. I can’t say that we’ll need another fan for a while, but if anyone else does, I would strongly recommend Fan Diego. If you ever need an electrician, I would also highly recommend John from Padre Electric.

I ordered a Minka Aire Bolo 52″ Remote Control Ceiling fan from Fan Diego. James was great. He worked with me on the delivery date and was super nice. The fan came in perfect condition and was of very good quality. I am very pleased and would order from Fan Diego again.

If you love supporting local businesses, this is one for you. I purchased two ceiling fans, one for my master bedroom and one for the guest room, and wanted quiet efficient fans. I LOVE the Casablanca fans I purchased, and wish I had decided to do this a lot sooner.
Andrew helped me pick the right fans. He showed me the Casablanca first, then went with me patiently through the store as I asked him about every other potential fan. I ended up selecting the one he recommended, and he did not try to upsell me on their more expensive version, which he convinced me was not necessary for my use and the size of my rooms.
Their prices matched the best I saw on Amazon or other internet sites. They did «pay my sales tax» which another reviewer indicated was an inadequate discount. I thought it was great, Amazon NEVER offers to pay my sales tax.
I paid them for installation, which they outsourced to a local (licensed, totally legit) electrician. There were some communication/​logistics issues, but when I expressed I wasn’t happy, they did everything required to address the issues and leave me completely satisfied. Problems happen. I’m okay with that, as long as a seller works with me to solve them. Fan Diego did, and I’m totally happy with the result. The installer did a great job, and once again, I love the fans. I will use Fan Diego in the future and recommend their products and services to friends and family.

Called on the phone first and they were very helpful. Told me their fees up-​front. Brought the fan in and did troubleshooting at the counter. Resolved the issue without major repair. Friendly and great customer service. They just got a new regular customer.

Rob gave me great customer service. He was very patient and informative, and did not try to upsell me on anything. I pointed out one fan I liked, and he showed me a similar fan that was a better fit for my place, and less expensive.
Prices are competitive. I got my fan for the same price as any online stores (Amazon, etc.).
Haven’t had my fan installed yet, but I’m looking forward to it.

Absolutely horrible experience, as well as equally horrible customer service.
I wanted to support a local business instead of buying a fan from home depot.
I buy two fans since the heat is coming and see a fan that looked nice and ordered two of them. I received a receipt as well as a confirmation the next day about my order.
I purchased these online since I recently fractured my back and cannot go out. I then receive a phone call saying they cannot honor the price and that the price was a glitch on their website due to an an update. They then call me but I could not answer due to me being at the hospital and they simply cancel my order and simply say they won’t honor it.
I am a manager myself and I know the golden rule of customer service, the customer is always right. As well as assuring they we honor everything that is advertised, it doesn’t matter if it was our mistake our a glitch or whatever it may be, if we displayed a price online and the customer actually purchased it, we must honor it.
I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau as well as taking them to court!

Fan Diego was referred to me by an electrician I hired in order to replace two of our ceiling fans. These fans were purchased in a big box store and were along the lines of $ 80. for a plain fan with no light but we hated them because they were noisy & wobbly.
Went to their website to check out what they had and called customer service to ask some questions. James S. was incredibly helpful, answered all my questions and helped me pick out the best fan at the best price. Shipping was free so why drive to store and waste my 2 or more hours of my time and my gas.
James explained the benefits of the Casablanca DC motor and it even came with it’s own remote so no need to buy a special switch which can cost upwards of $ 50. This one even came with the blades. We have two other Casablanca fans in the house from before we bought this house. They are wonderful quality, and best of all quiet.
James spent time with me, was courteous and helpful, never pushy. When it came to order I had to run and pick up kids from school and asked him to call me back in ½ hour so I could take my time and place my order. James called me back ½ hour later, order was placed, and I’m looking forward to having my new super quiet ceiling fans delivered early next week. If I really needed it today I would have driven to one their stores but this was nice option considering it wasn’t an emergency.

What a great place to buy a fan. I’ve purchased five fans from them. You pay a little more than the infamous box stores but what you get are quiet, quiet, quiet running fans that’ll go twenty fours hours a day. I installed my last fan and ran into a mental block on the wiring hook up. I called the store and Rob Smietana talked me threw it. I don’t know how he kept from hanging up on me. I just couldn’t get it and then the light went on and bang it was clear. The fan is up and running. I errored and didn’t request the correct baulbs in the lighting kit which they took care of plus they let me exchange the remote controller from a wall unit to a portable one. This is the type of service customers expect and they sure supplied it. Highly recommend this company and the products they sell.

Very pleased with the service that I received from Fan Diego. Rob helped me with a 10-​year old Casablanca ceiling fan that was working very poorly. I first stopped in for guidance on replacing the fan and he suggested I bring it in to consider servicing it because it would be half the price. As I was uncomfortable handling electrical items, he showed me all the steps necessary to take the fan down safely.
After looking over the fan he quickly and accurately repaired my fan, saving me over $ 200. He also personally walked me through the reinstallation process and it went off without a hitch.
I see some of the other reviews that are more mixed about this business but I am very happy with the way I was treated. I would definitely shop here again given the integrity and service level I experienced.
