Fastlane Lane Sailing & Kayaking

Decided on purchasing a kayak to fish from, so I visited Fastlane as soon as I got off of work. From what I’ve seen online it looks like they carried Hobie which is what I found the most appealing from my research.
The staff at Fastlane are awesome! I love that they let me look around before offering me help (However I was greeted immediately). It gave me time to get comfortable with my surroundings, as there is a lot to take in there. However, once I started to accumulate some questions in my head, a very pleasant woman asked if I needed help (Mind reader. Wish I remembered her name). I don’t know if this company sends all the employees to customer service classes or what, but they definitely could teach a class. I told them my needs and I could tell right away that they knew their products and how to fit the perfect product to a specific customer. At this point a very knowledgeable guy named Ron took the reigns with my questions. Though my intentions for the kayak are fishing, the angler kayaks (Pro Anglers) were a bit out of my price range. I was shown multiple styles of kayaks, but as they asked questions we narrowed them down to two (revo 11 or outback). Ron not only showed me the current and future models, but the later model ones as well. This not only gave me options on kayak style, but price. He showed me the differences between all of them and let me decide which path to choose next. They also offered to let me demo of ALL the kayaks but I was hardly dressed for the occasion (even offered me shorts). I wanted to leave with one right then and there, but one I didn’t have my SUV, and two they insisted that I demo the ones I’ve picked before purchasing. All in all my experience with Fastlane was outstanding, and they definitely earned a loyal customer (hopefully one that will get the time to go back this week).

I had been to almost a dozen shops looking for information about SUPs and kayaks, to help me decide on which one to get. I got almost no help until I went here. Hayden was very helpful and knowledgeable about all of their products. He was very patient with me as I came back numerous times to purchase racks, learn how to get a kayak on top of my car, and eventually purchase a Hobie kayak. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my purchase or experience at Fast Lane!

I’ve been treated like royalty ever since my first visit when I demo’ed a fishing kayak, on to doing a really fun Fishin’ Mission, to buying a Pro Angler 14, on to yesterday when I stopped by to ask about a broken bungee cord on an accessory and they just fixed it good as new in 5 minutes.
Ron and his entire team are friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and respectful but not to the point it feels disingenuous.
It’s good to know good old fashioned customer service isn’t dead.

I’d been wanting to get a SUP for a long time, and when I was finally ready a good friend highly recommended Fastlane. My experience was nothing but positive; Ron and Hayden were more than patient as they answered all my novice-​SUP buyer questions and made sure I found the right board, paddle, and bag.
In the showroom, they had many new and a few used SUPs. They have everything you could possibly need for SUPing and kayaking! I won’t hesitate to return for future SUP-​related purchases and can’t thank them enough for their excellent service!

I purchased my PA14 from Fastlane also bought most of my accessories from them and all throughout its been great experience. Staff & service 5 stars.

I would love to give this store 5+stars if possible absolutely thankful for all the help and questions I had for HAYDEN super helpful and patient with me. I had gone to 4 different kayak stores was very impressed on the customer service he provided me. I loved the store to many accessories for kayak fishing. Hayden really went out of his way to keep me comfort and answered all my questions I had felt like I was asking to many questions. Highly recommended I have couple of people that are interested in buying a kayak and gear and I will push them to fast lane to buy their gear just because of the incredible service support and knowledge they have thanks Hayden truly happy with my kayak. 5+stars u deserve it.

I’ve been a customer here for almost five years and have bought a Hobie Adventure Island and a SUP from them, as well as numerous paddles, parts and other goodies. They are a great local shop and I make a point to give them my business. Great staff always willing to help out and answer questions. You can demo boards and kayaks and get lots of free advice. I get all my Hobie 16 parts here as their prices are competitive with Murray’s and other online retailers. I’ll be a customer for life.

I am a customer here for life. I’ve bought three Hobie Pro Anglers from Ron and his crew. Why? Customer service. They’re never too busy to answer all my questions, even the stupid ones that I’ve asked three or four times! In addition, I’ve been on quite a few fishin missions! The last one on the 26^th of April I brought one of my best friends that I grew up with who recently became blind. He’s very active and not a burden at all. I let Bailey, the shop manager know when we arrived in the morning that Dave is blind. That’s all I said. Their level of attention to him throughout the day almost caused me to shed a tear. It was that good. I can’t say enough, I was just stunned. They love what they do and it shows. If you’re looking to explore the world of water sports in the form of a kayak, stand up paddle board or myriad other water sport opportunities. Go here. Buy here. Get on the water. They run a top notch operation! Thanks everyone Ron, Bailey, Hayden and crew. You’re the best. And you made a blind guy that just wanted to fish a very happy person on his 50^th birthday!!!

I just bought my Hobie Pro Angler 14 from them. I never though that spending money could be such a good experience. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the sport. I never gave the impression that I was there to buy, just that I was looking around. Even without knowing that I was willing to buy that day they treat you great. told them that I was looking for a fishing kayak and they asked if I had a preference, since I didn’t they showed me everything that they had and explained the difference between all of them. No rush, no pressure and make you feel welcomed in their store. They even took me to the back so I could see some of the other models that they had. After I bought it they took me to the back with it and explained everything that it had and how to use it, they happily answered all the questions that I had. After I was out of questions they helped load it into the truck and even hooked my up with some straps since I left mine at home that day. Overall great place it is now my kayak accessory store until it is time to buy another one.

Love this place… Ron and the whole crew were great! They were great guides and we had a blast… will definitely go back and recommend to others! I wish I could remember everyones names, but thanks Hayden, Jared, and the Fast Lane crew!

My hubby and I went shopping for kayaks and we fell in love with this mom and pop shop! They were super friendly, knowledgeable and they took the time to take both of us on a test run of two different yaks. They had several other customers in the store, but we never felt rushed, overlooked or pressured to make a decision. You can tell by their customer service that they really enjoy their jobs.

Love the 2 Mirage Revolution kayaks we bought last year. 13 ft kayaks w petals. Very sturdy for bay and ocean.
I built rack to carry on top of pickup bed & cab. Kayaks a bit heavy to lift.
So, last month bought the T-​bone extender from FastLane. Wow, so easy to slide kayaks onto truck. See pics.

If you have a chance to do the Fishn’ Mission with Ron (the owner) and his excellent staff and guest guides, DO IT. It’s fantastic. We have done it 2 years in a row now, and it’s so much fun. We knew coming in to this 2^nd excursion that we’d probably be leaving with a new kayak. Bailey and Ron were great in getting my husband the seminar special on our new Hobie Mirage Oasis tandem pedal kayak… we’re loving it!
This is a great family business and they know how to take care of their customers. Bailey was so helpful in helping my husband with his roof rack and teaching him how to unload and lock up the kayak on our car.
If you need kayak, paddle board, sailing, or catamaran equipment /​accessories, check them out! They are really great people. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

This is the way to run a business! The owners make you feel like family friends. They are always so eager to help you and can offer so much valuable information. They have such a wide selection and the store is very well organized, always spotlessly clean. If you’re in the market for a kayak or kayak accessories, this should be your one stop go to store. I can’t say enough good things about this store. I typically hate shopping but this is one of the few stores I actually look forward to going to! You won’t ever leave here disappointed.

Purchased a kayak and many accessories from them over the years and always provided excellent service. That have a good stock of Hobie sit on top kayaks and SUP paddle boards.
Support this mom and pop shop

I love this Mom & Pop shop. They don’t sell sea kayaks but they can special order kayaking accessories and gears. The owners are cool peeps and the shop is always kept clean and organized. I’m not into sit on-​top kayaks but if you’re looking to buy new or used or just rent, their prices are competitive. Located in Mission Bay next to large boat ramp w/​free wifi and mini-​deli.
