Ferris & Britton is a business and estate planning law firm. On the business side, our general corporate practice involves representing small to mid-​size companies (generally, annual sales of $ 1m to $ 50m). We have employment law, commercial litigation, tax and transactional (generally, all types of contracts for business) expertise.

On the estate planning side, we represent medium to high net worth individuals, including owners of businesses. We assist those clients in reducting their estate taxes and, with respect to business owners, help them design and implement a succession plan.

History

Established in 1968.

Ferris & Britton was «born» on April 1, 1968, and has continuously represented Southern California businesses and individuals since that time. The founders of the law firm, Al Ferris and Chris Britton, are now «of counsel» to the law firm. They still have an office at the firm and service clients, but at a reduced schedule. Gary Moyer is the managing officer of the firm and the other two owners of the firm are Mike Weinstein and Steve Pynes.

Gary Moyer has been the managing officer of Ferris & Britton since 2000. Gary is a tax and business lawyer and is one of three owners of the law firm. The other owners of the law firm are Mike Weinstein (a business litigator) and Steve Pynes (an employment law specialist).
