I really like this place. I ordered the pizza special, which was 2 pizza slices and a medium drink. My friend ordered the pasta which comes with garlic bread. I thought the price was average, compared to other places also raising their prices, and food was SOGOOD. I was really amazed by it because I thought mall food, eh, but this place, I really liked. Staff was friendly, food amazing, definitely will be back and recommend. I felt like the pasta was better than some restaurants I’ve been to.

If you want good food don’t come here. If I could I would give it a zero star review. The food was terrible not to mention the pasta was literally soaking in oil on my plate and to make matters worse I was overcharged. I will definitely not be returning and I hope anyone who tries the food here does not have the same terrible experience.

Not a place I’ll go back to. I stopped by on my lunch break. I was craving pizza. The pizza crust was chewy and the topping were minimal. Not to mention they were over priced in my opinion. The staff was nice, but the food just plain out sucked.

Sex. Phở…Pizza…what do they all have in common? No matter how bad they are, they’re all still pretty darn good. Sort of. $ 3.25 for this dried out slice of pepperoni and mushroom… meh. Its mall food.

Well the place is going down recently stopped again, 2 slices of pizza, the sizes are beyond kids size, small salad and a drink. We promised not to be back — big mistake on our part, no more.

«The panini that you served me was so 90s, like the decorum of Horton Plaza. I came here wanting a panini fit for the new millennium, and it’s not even that new anymore!»

I rarely frequent this level of «pizza» eating… ;) but the people I were with offered to buy lunch… You can get a large pizza(it is big) with 2 toppings for 18.95, not so bad. Would I have spent my money at this place… eh. maybe for my kid. Is it gross… no… Is the service friendly… yes… Is this just mall pizza… yes. In a pinch this place will suffice

I’ve been coming here for years. A friend kept raving about the pizza, but I was incredibly hesitant to spend my calorie budget and money at a mall joint. Because who thinks to go to the mall specifically for food when there’s a city full of good eats? Well, nearly a decade later this is still one of my favorite spots for a slice of pizza. My top picks are the chicken bacon ranch pizza and tequila pasta.

Fast and friendly service. LOVED the pizza slice I got, and it was cheap, less than 5 bucks for a slice and a medium drink… I’m a big fan of buffalo chicken pizza, and i’ve been disappointed by a few places in this area. Glad I finally found it, next time I want buffalo chicken pizza, I’m coming here.

The service was fast and friendly. And while there was nothing wrong with my veggie slice, it wasn’t good enough to make me crave a return trip. The salad I got with my meal(pizza, salad, soda) was actually pretty good for a side salad. I’ll give them that. I think my combo cost somewhere between $ 7-$ 9. Maybe the pizza is better if you order a fresh pie and not just a slice? I compare this place to Sbarro, which I like much better.

I know that mall plaza food has sort of a thing against it, but I’m pretty crazy about the pizza and pasta here. I recommend getting the pasta number 2 and a slice of tomato basil pizza. They make the sauce and prepare the noodles to order so nothing sits in a big steam tray all day. I appreciate that they take the time and the extra expense to prepare the food with quality ingrediants.

Like someone else said, for mall pizza, this place is pretty good. I really enjoy the pizza. I work downtown and have tried all the by the slice places around Horton and this is the best pizza. The(I think) owner is also a really nice guy who goes out of his way to give you deals and get you back in. I get the 2 slice and soda special once every week and look forward to it. Sometimes the pizza can taste a little undercooked, so its best to look at what you’re ordering and choose from a pie that’s a little crispier looking.

My bf wanted to eat here. I should have known, considering he’s ALWAYS wrong. lol No really, it’s true. Anyway, here’s what I thought… Chicken and parm pizza or some crap: Blah. It was pretty gross but it didn’t make me vomit so I guess it wasn’t THAT bad. Cheesy Formaggio Panini or some crap: The panini bread was greasy and tasted like the cheese bread from Sizzler that I hate. Soggy tomatoes. Too much cheese. Yucky salad. My bf claims he kinda liked this place but I don’t believe him. lol Conclusion: go somewhere else.

Surprisingly, given that it’s mall pizza, it’s not bad at all. They have a pretty decent menu of various Italian offerings, very unusual for a food court vendor, and several selections by the slice. The pizza is a little on the limp side, not as crispy as I like, but the thin crust was a big plus to me. It was big enough to share between me and my lady while I was on early lunch. Arriving around 10:30 in the morning there were zero choices, and it was either this or wait a half hour for sushi and Mongolian to open… the slice and drink lnch special was around $ 5, it certainly wasn’t terrible. This is downtown, after all, so I’d actually say it was less than expected, given the prices for the other nearby vendors.

My friend had a craving for lasagna, so we split a piece. It was kind of expensive, but you get garlic bread and a small ceasar salad with your meal.

The pizza wasn’t too bad… it wasn’t NYC style pizza, but wasn’t crap-tastic mall food court pizza either. The salad, however, was amazing… Not even a drop of iceberg lettuce was to be found. My Greek salad was topped with fresh feta cheese and spicy, crisp banana peppers. Best frickin’ salad I’ve had in a long time. I believe a slice of pizza and a small salad with a fountain drink runs about $ 7. Given the freshness and size of the salad, I think $ 7 is worth it for the salad and drink alone. I later spilled my drink in the lobby of a fancy hotel, but, whatever.

All I really remember was buying two slices of pizza for my girlfriend and I and I do recall it being pricey. The pizza was alright, not to shabby for a mall joint. But, I do remember the cashier being mean and pulling shysty on the napkins.

the GF and I had some pizza here during Comicon, when everyplace else was swamped. The pizza is quick and easy… did not give me a quivering orgasm of delight– but did not make me immediately vomit onto my GF’s new Versace dress either. In sum, the pizza was not really bad like pizza hut or $ 5 pizza but not as good as what we had in Naples but it did satisfy considering the circumstances — — — — — — star not deducted for: public eating area at Horton plaza some douche kept feeding the pigeons which kept more coming douche please do not feed the pigeons they are vectors for disease and i do not appreciate them flapping their e-coli infested wings in the vicinity of my pizza intake circumference: x

I neither frequent nor review many fast food stops and chains, but when I was hungry at Horton Plaza this past weekend Formaggio made my tummy happy enough to warrant a review. The pizza through the glass caught my eye, and I decided to cough up a few bucks for a slice each of margherita(classically yummy flavors) and white(sweet and creamy white sauce with caramelized onions, bacon, and grilled chicken). I loved the crust thickness – not super-thin but nowhere near too thick and doughy. It’s the kind of pizza that you can enjoy several slices of and not feel 20 pounds heavier. This place would easily score 4 stars from me if the slice prices(roughly $ 3 – 4) were lowered a bit. Overall, Formaggio was a nice surprise and is a place that I’ll hit up again when I’m in Horton Plaza and a craving for considerably above average(yet undeniably overpriced) pizza strikes.
