Full Moon Drive-In

Had date night here a few nights ago. It was my first drive in and I loved it! Husband said it was like when he was a kid. Can’t beat $ 8 and you get two movies. I like how they start with a kid movie then after they pass out its on to grown up time! We will be doing this again :)

Yes, the price scale has changed but do the math: it’s still a good deal. (I don’t necessarily think the concession prices are a good deal, but the prices are crazy at every movie theater, in my experience.)
It cannot be stated often enough: the sound and picture quality are excellent. And I don’t have to put up with idiots yapping or texting next to me like they do in every traditional movie theater. Somehow the idiots always sit behind me.
Also, the fact that they are showing first-​run movies is awesome and clearly accounts for the huge crowds. Don’t think you will get a great spot if you show up whenever you like. The secret is out.
There’s just something about a drive-​in which is a cool. And Full Moon is cool.

We had a great time at Full Moon Drive-​In. Commercials prior to the movie stated they want you to text and talk during the movie, make a huge mess, etc. Indeed, we showed up in our pajamas and my four year old son did his usual movie commentary the entire time. It was nice to not have to worry about people sitting next to you! Picture quality was good and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I had a BLAST going here! Its very simple, just an inflated screen and a large lot but you really don’t need much more than that. And $ 20 for as many people you can fit in your car. We took the mini-​van and could get about 6 folks in for the film. The snacks may be a bit pricey but they do deliver it directly to your car so you don’t have to interrupt your viewing experience. That is work the few extra bucks for me.
What I like is their choice in films to screen. If I get a chance to see a classic or a cult movie like The Exorcist, Saturday Night Fever, or The Pink Panther on the big screen I just at it. And the drive-​in venue adds to the experience. Plus the staff were nothing but friendly to us.

Went there a while back with my Mini Cooper club to see a screening of the original Italian Job. The screen was much larger than expected which was a pleasant surprise. They play really great cult films.
My problems are with both the staff and the pricing. When we arrived, we obviously had a huge group of Mini Coopers and were all together, I had arrived early and was given my slot to park, (It’s just a dirt lot) I asked the guy in charge of parking the cars if we could leave the slot next to me open for my friend (also a Mini Cooper) and he rudely responded saying that that would screw up the entire lot and that he simply couldn’t do it. NEXT… The pricing for the snacks is ridiculous, don’t by anything from them, there is a Chipotle down the street so buy a burrito and sneak it in.
Mission Tiki Drive In might be too far of a drive but their prices are much cheaper ($ 7 per person AND you get a double feature) and it has the slopes to park your cars on instead of a flat dirt lot.
I don’t think I’d come here again without my club. It’s not that awesome.

LOVED my first time here!
This was my first experience in a Drive-​In theater after so many years and I’m so glad I got to experience it again at Full Moon Drive-​In. It is very organized — from the entrance where they collect your voucher/​money, to the parking, to the intermission, it all made for a great (drive-​in) movie-​going experience.
We arrived at almost exactly 7:00 which was ½ an hour before our movie started. Because we were parked in the 3^rd row, I panicked a little thinking the screen would be obstructed by the cars in front of us. I worried for nothing. It really doesn’t matter which row you’re in. You won’t miss a thing since the screen is huge.
We backed in our mid-​sized car and put the back seats down so we would have some room to get cozy. Bring a couple pillows and a snuggly throw/​blanket and you’ll be set!
The only downside is that the bathrooms are a bit of a trek. Women, make sure you have someone go with you. It’s very dark where the bathrooms are located. The upside is the restrooms aren’t port-​o-​potties.
Concession food and prices are decent for what they are.
I can’t wait to come back!

A great date night! Start the evening off with drinks & dinner… end it snuggling up in the car watching a classic movie. (Don’t forget the blankets and pillows!) Great service… they’ll come take your concession order if you turn on the light inside your car. I must say… I think it’s pretty darn cool that 30 years after my very first drive-​in experience and I can still legitimately steam up some windows!

I was excited when I heard about the drive-​in opening up and couldn’t wait to try it out. I happened to see a living social pop up for the drive in and decided to buy it since my boyfriend and I were planning to go eventually. We saw The Notebook and overall it was a good experience and we enjoyed the movie.
I would be giving it 5 stars, but the night we went they started the movie 20 minutes late due to what I assume was a surprise proposal. While the idea was very sweet as the guy had set up a special video to play and must have invited the entire family, I don’t think it was professional on the companies part to delay the start of the movie and not give those that were not aware of the proposal any heads up. The video, which played for 15 minutes and started when the movie was supposed to, was all in Spanish. My boyfriend and I don’t speak Spanish so we had no idea what was going on, what the video was for and were very close to leaving when they finally started the notebook.
My only advice, next time there is some kind of special arrangement like this, maybe start it 15 minutes before the movie is set to start so that you do not inconvenience others who are not part of the event.
Other than that, we enjoyed the experience, thought the popcorn was good and will most likely be back.

I loved this! We got a gold star deal to check this out (I’d never even heard of it before!) We chose to watch The Grinch since it is less than 10 days until Christmas. We arrived to find a giant blow up screen and great parking options. There are chairs up front to watch the movie that they save have speakers, but we chose to stay in the car since it was misting all night, and we had a fantastic view! We got there about 45 minutes before the movie and were right in the center of the front. They seem to have the parking set up well, so there’s a large space and they put taller vehicles a few rows back to ensure there’s no one being blocked.
They ask you to not bring your own food or drinks, since that’s how they make their money, but they do have a decent little snack cart with all your basic movie staples, including hot chocolate! All the staff was extremely friendly and there are indoor restrooms located at the back of the lot.
I will definitely be going again, and from what I’ve seen on their schedule, they have a super mix of more recent and older movies, so it can be great fun to check out an old favorite! They charge per vehicle, so if it’s a decent night or you have an SUV, fill it up and split the cost to make it even more fun.

I have always wanted to go to a Drive-​In movie, finally got the chance to experience this. The screen is huge and I loved the way all the members of the staff helped to direct you on where to park. The concession food was delicious they even have ice cream. If you don’t wanna sit in your car, the theater has seats in front of the screen. I recommend this to any movie lover. See the old classics like our parents did back in the day!

Love this old-​school-​style drive-​in theatre! So far we’ve seen the original The Italian Job (much better than the recent remake) and Christmas Story. The picture and sound are great, the concessions are delish, and I love not having to listen to other moviegoers talk or watch them text.

It was our first time here. We liked the theater, the concession workers were sweet.
They had a camera guy running around in our way all night. We came to relax not be interrupted with filiming otherwise we would have gave them more stars.

So much fun! We will definitely be going again.
My bf got a deal from groupon for half price so we thought we’d give it a try. (normally $ 20 per car, not per person so fill up the car and go!)
The screen is huge so I cant imagine a bad seat in the house, plus they have about 20 or 30 chairs in the front section if you don’t want to sit in your car, but whats the fun in that. To hear the movie in the car you just tune to a specific radio station. If you sit in the chairs up front they have speakers so you still get that theater surround sound feeling.
If you have a classic car from the 50s or 60s you get priority parking, but other than that its first come first park. We got there around 745 and were able to park in the front row. It didn’t seem to crowded the Friday night that we went. It was great to be able to sit in the car and watch. You can talk, txt, take a phone call whatever and not feel like you’re bothering people next to you.
You can’t bring in your own food and drink which is kind of a bummer. I would have liked to bring my own snacks or food. They have a snack bar with popcorn nachos, hot dogs and candy; you’re movie basics. We got a few snacks. Their popcorn was a little stale (lucky for us it was free with the groupon deal) but the hot dogs were pretty good.
The only down side was that the baseball field next to the lot they set up the theater in had a game and the lights were very bright. It was a little distracting. However we still enjoyed our experience.

Seriously, a great idea!!! A blow up giant screen in a dirt yard next to a school! I got a Goldstar deal for Full Moon to watch The Karate Kid (1984)!!! We drove up after dinner, getting there at about 7:10 and got into the first row of cars, dead center! For the next 50 minutes cars began to stack up behind us and some people walked to the front where they have seating with speakers!
We opted to sit in my car and watch, which was cool. Turn on your dome light and they’ll come to you and take your order! You can get some ice cream, popcorn, drinks, or candy! They don’t want you to bring your own food/​drinks and have someone ask you if you brought any when you drive in. We had to throw out our barely any left water bottles even!
Anyway, this is a great activity for a date or even just to come out with friends! They keep a movie schedule about 2 weeks in advance, so check it out!
DON’T FORGET TO RUN YOUR CAR FOR A COUPLE MINUTES EVERY HALF HOUR OR SO!!!

not bad. located i think in a high school parking lot, a great idea for family night fun. We watched legit Karate Kid with Daniel San and Mr Miyagi.
We were able to get free tickets to check it out, brought the tacoma, put down the front seats, tuned to the station, bought some popcorn, and relaxed in our own backseats with pillows for some good Ol drive in fun.
A lot a people bring their families to have the kids kinda have «sleep over» night in their caravans or truck beds, so if you’re kid sensitive, may not be the spot.
love the idea! I think they also have some food trucks, so good for them for supporting local businesses. Its cool that they business is almost completely ran by smart phones (will call list, credit card purchases, etc)

Such a fun experience! Watched an American Wherewolf in London on the full moon while munching on popcorn and snacks from the delicious food truck on site. $ 12 lobster ravioli! It is only $ 20 per carload entry and from there you can either sit outside and enjoy the night or stay in your car. Either way it is a fun, inexpensive night for the whole family.

This was my first time there, and I will be defiantly be going again! I rode my bike and sat in the front rows, brought a blanket and had my popcorn and bought a vanilla shake. Great venue, very nice employees, food truck was delicious… all around 100% experience :)
I do want to note that $ 20 for a ticket applies to those who drive (pedestrian ticket is $ 10), and you can bring as many people in for that $ 20 as you have seat belts. $ ²⁰⁄₅ people = $ 4 a person… GREAT deal if you ask me!
Also there was a food truck there when I went and they had healthy as well as not so healthy options… everyone wins!
