History

Established in 2014.

Functional Integrated Therapeutic Services is the dream of owner Mark Wilson. Mark has a long history of providing therapeutic services to children and adults in multiple locations throughout San Diego county. His experience includes medical based occupational therapy in skilled nursing and hospital rehabilitation centers county wide. He worked with adults through ages 22 – 106. He has experience in stroke/​cardiac rehabilitation, orthopedics, Alzheimer’s and dementia.

In 1999, Mark began working in pediatrics for San Diego City Schools. Pediatrics has been his primary emphasis since. Children with sensory based difficulties and learning disabilities are his specialty. In December 2014, Mark received his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. He is currently providing occupational therapy in charter and non-​public school settings as well as working with clients on a private basis out of the clinic in Pt Loma.

Business Owner

Born in Iowa, Mark moved to San Diego in 1986 after serving in the Navy. He finished his Bachelor’s degree from the La Verne University. In 1993, Mark worked as a Rehabilitation aide in San Diego area skill nursing facilities and hospitals. In 1997, Mark graduated from Maric College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. He began working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for San Diego City Schools and soon moved on to do OT services at Banyan Tree Learning Center and Sierra Academy. Mark began working for the San Diego Center for Children in 2009. In 2013, Mark received his Master’s Occupational Therapy Degree from Western New Mexico University and soon created Functional Integrated Therapeutic Services.

Mark is married and has two adult children.
