The owner/​installer (Jens) was trained in Germany and worked there as a tile installer for over 15 years before moving to the US. He is extremely trustworthy, reliable and punctual. With his European training and experience, his craftsmanship is of the highest quality. He does the installations himself, so you don’t sign up with someone one day and get someone different doing the work.

Jens provides reasonable pricing and will look at the job and give an estimate and advice at no charge. He is CA licensed and bonded — license 872 804.

History

Established in 2007.

The owner/​installer of German Setter Tile and Marble is Jens Sedemund. He was born and raised in Eutin, Germany and learned the tilesetting trade at the age of 16. He worked in Germany as a tilesetter until the age of 29 until he came to the US.

After several years of working in the US as a tile setter journeyman, Jens got his CA contractors license and started his own business. He installs tile of all materials and project types in the San Diego area.

Jens is the owner of German Setter Tile and Marble. He was trained in Germany and has 30 years experience. He does all of the consulting, estimates and installations himself, so clients can be assured that they’re getting great quality work.

He’s known for being very friendly and likeable, and also extremely reliable and punctual. If Jens tells you he’ll be someplace at a certain time, or that he’ll get the job done within a certain timeframe, he will absolutely do it.
