Handle With Care Packaging Store

I purchased a piece of art from a gallery in La Jolla and they used this business to pack and ship the piece. The gallery owner confirmed they offer White Glove Service and assured me the owner Peter W. did an excellent job packing, insuring and shipping. The piece is a Dogon Ladder, which is 6′ tall and weighs 95 lbs.
I never received any tracking details or a tracking number. When I got a call from Fed Ex notifying me of this scheduled delivery, I discovered the shipper had the wrong address. Rather than deal with a re-​delivery, I picked up the package at a local Fed Ex store. I was SHOCKED when I saw the box and how poorly the piece was packaged. If you have any valuable items or anything that you care about that needs to be packaged and or shipped, do not use this service.

I was moving from San Diego to New Jersey, and was looking for a reliable shipping company to ship my personal belongings. I was adamant about NOT wanting to use a moving company. This is a family run, reliable business, with EXCELLENT customer service. I inquired online and Peter (the owner) called me back immediately and spent time on the phone with me answering all of my questions. I decided to go with them because I immediately felt a sense of comfort in shipping my belongings. We had almost 40 boxes to ship across the country! Once we scheduled the pickup, his son and another worker showed up at our home and loaded all the boxes quickly and efficiently onto their truck. They were also extremely friendly! They put all of our belongings on 3 pallets, and it only took about 5 days to reach Atlantic City, NJ. Everything arrived like new… nothing was disturbed, broken, or affected in any way. Even my husband’s 9 ft. surfboard arrived unharmed! It was well worth using this company and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the San Diego area. They were also very reasonable with pricing. Thank you, Peter!

The gentleman working the front desk was so nice and accomadating. Went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied… and all I was doing was dropping off a package! Awesome.

I just had the worst experience with a driver from this company. he showed up by himself to get furniture that takes two people to move and wanted to get help from someone on the street to help him. Totally unacceptable. he was very rude and fliped me the bird as he was driving off. Id search for a company that has better customer service and know how to move furniture before settling with these guys. He got upset that i wouldnt allow a person not liscensed or bonded by his company to help him. It would take 4 months to replace on of these pieces if it were damaged.

Peter’s the owner here, and he was so easy to work with. I needed a piece of my parent’s furniture shipped from their house to mine, and Peter responded quickly with a good quote, was very courteous to my parents, and even came and picked up the trunk.
It arrived in the same condition as when given for shipment, so these guys really know how to prepare a shipment.
