Very unproffessional managing staff. They don’t train you at all. They give you the very basic basic training then just throw you on the phone. You are basically cold calling businesses that get the same call from a whole bunch of other third party companies just like Harte Hanks.
I can’t believe that these people represent big companies like HP and Oracle. If they knew what type of management was representing them I guarantee they would disapprove.
They let me go after two weeks of work, which the first week was training. I was a lead generating specialist. The goal was one lead a day. The very first day on the phones, which was the 2^nd week in, I got a lead. They did not give me any warnings or anything. In fact they actually lied to me and told me I was doing good. If they would have told me «hey you need to work on this «I would have worked my hardest to fix it.
What type of company just lets you go without giving you a reason? A very unethical one. I was on time everyday. I guarantee I made my required number of calls per hour.
The main manager who’s name is Tina I think is also not professional. When she introduced herself on day one to our training class one of the things she had to talk about was having New Years resolutions. She proudly stated she did not believe in New Years Resolutions. Basically saying she doesn’t believe in Goals essentially. And this is what kind of person you have representing your company?
Period, this place is unethical and the main headquarters should really consider getting new management. Just letting go of someone with no justification is completely wrong. And lieing to them is completely unethical.

I got hired as a «call center sales rep» for an assignment at Harte-​Hanks call center in San Diego.
The training from day 1 was a mess. No official «classroom» — had to try to learn material with a loud call center in the immediate vicinity. They had computers at our desks. BUT we never once turned them on. 5 of us in my group. All of us on different assignments.
Supervisor Phyllis Pass was very unorganized. Told me to cut my own «lead coupons» but never gave me scissors to cut them with. Then I was given a computer with a virus. Kept freezing up. Had to reboot it every 30 minutes. I Had to use it the entire week because she never had anybody come fix it like she said she would. The laziest supervisor I have ever worked with and I’ve had many.
I was calling the same clients about 3 times a day and they refused every single call. Phyllis would tell me she told me what I was supposed to do. She didn’t. She would tell me something and then tell me something the complete opposite in front of Caroline, the girl who was «training» me. lol!
Then they can’t even tell us what we’re selling. Very unprofessional staff. What A JOKE. Worst hot mess of a call center I’ve ever seen. Go to ProFlowers. They treat their employees great and give professional, quality training.
OH and I never once was trained how to log into the computer timeclock to punch in since my computer never had their KRONOS timekeeping application installed on it! Which means I probably won’t get paid. LOL.
