Really wanted to like the place. Kinda hole in the wall and all the produce looked rough. I will give them points for it has been stupid hot and they do not have a/c but everything looked not fresh and they have no a/c and open doors so the flies were everywhere. They were very nice. I didnt spend long looking if they had great deals because none of it was stuff I would buy.

Tiny little joint BUT it has most of your fruit/veggie/meat/cheese needs. They also have milk, eggs, and other items that need to be refrigerated. Their best deals are going to be the items located right outside the entrance — I recall them having a box of mangoes for about $ 2 – 3, I forget the exact deal but needless to say it was a fantastic deal. From the times I’ve been there, there’s usually one person behind the register and one behind the cheese/meat area. Great market to go to if you live in the area — easy walking distance from my house, that’s for sure.

This little hole in the wall produce is REALLY hidden, but worth a find! They have season fruit for super CHEAP. Their vegetables are good quality and cheap too. They also have a Carniceria, I’ve never had the meat but word of mouth says its good. The cashiers are very friendly, very good looking girls. It’s really tiny though, so if another customer walks in, be ready to bump into each other, sometimes it’s worth it, most of the time, not really. Accepts credit cards, no minimum purchase amount. 5 pounds of oranges for 1 dollah!

One of the better best kept secrets in San Diego. I love Mom and Pop fruit and produce stands. They’re always cheaper, always nicer and always have a great selection of everything. This place has been around for years and it’s been great for years. The owner and the other workers know everyone that comes in and are always happy to help and partake in small talk. If you live in the area, it is a great place to shop for fresh vegetables. Parking can get a little crowded at peak times though.
