IMAccounting was started as a tax preparation service for individuals in 1993. Shortly after we started working with small companies by providing bookkeeping service, and payroll processing. We like to take responsibility for the work we do, and this can be accomplished much better if we do the whole accounting cycle.

Business Owner

Iren immigrated to the US in 1988 from Transylvania (Romania) with her two years old daughter. A few months later her husband joined her, and they live in San Diego since then. Iren had a BS in Mechanical Engineering, but she was fascinated with computers, so she started studying computer programming. After a few programming classes, she realized that she would need much more time and patience to get good at it that she had available with three little children. She was looking to do something productive while she was raising her children, and then somebody asked if she can do a tax return, and then bookkeeping. At that point she went back to school, and got her BS in Accounting from SDSU. After graduating in 2000, she worked full time in several Property Management companies as Sr. Staff Accountant while she was building her own accounting business. Since 2006 she dedicated herself full time for assisting small business owners solve their accounting, payroll and tax challenges.
