Imagery with Impact

My husband and I looked at several wedding photographers’ portfolios and liked Leylla’s style. We met Leylla at our neighborhood coffee shop and talked about photos and local neighborhood things. It turned out we shared some things in common, which made our meeting much more relaxed and casual. She was easy going and was open to hearing about our ideas. She was willing to work out a package with us as we weren’t interested in an engagement session. I communicated with Leylla several times via email and once on the phone before the wedding day. She was responsive to all the times I emailed or texted her. We had an amazing party on our wedding day and Leylla captured all the laughter, love, and merriment. She was everywhere! Her turnaround time is fast too — we received a link to all the edited pics about 3 weeks after the wedding. And she followed up with CDs of hi-​res photos. Every time I look through the album, I see something new that makes me laugh or smile. Thank you Leylla for capturing the best day ever!

Leylla is amazing! She was recommended to us by a friend for an engagement and wedding photographer. We met up with her for coffee, and were instantly comfortable. I had seen her work online, and was excited to work with her.
We set up our engagement photos– we just wanted to walk around neighborhoods we liked that had character. Looking back, that might be a little weird, but Leylla was on board from the start and captured some great shots! I’ll mention here that neither my wife nor I have much experience being photographed. We had no idea what we were doing. Leylla was fantastic at coaching us to get the best shots.
The day of the wedding, Leylla met us at the hotel while we got ready, and she was stellar as usual. In the shuffle of trying to get everyone to the park down the street for our small ceremony, things got complicated and Leylla ended up graciously offering to drive us to the site. Sounds like we were unprepared, right? (We were). Leylla was quick to offer us a solution, and I was super impressed with her kindness. She shot with a smile all day.
I can’t recommend Leylla highly enough! Her work is superb, and she will make you feel at ease and super fancy, even if you, like me, are not super fancy. ¹⁰⁄₁₀!

I don’t think I could possibly overstate how amazing Leylla is. Not only is she incredibly gifted behind the lens, she’s also one of the most awesome people I know. Her enthusiasm for what she does is palpable in every aspect of her work, from amping up groups of camera-​shy people (which, with many families, is not an easy task) to her finished product — we’re still amazed at the emotion she effortlessly captured in our wedding photos each time we flip through them :)
There are tons of photographers out there, but Leylla’s genuine passion for life, which underscores each shot she takes, is completely unique. Even though we now live a thousand miles apart, there’s still no one I’d rather have there to capture life’s most awesome moments than her :)

Leylla photographed our wedding in Santa Rosa two weeks ago and we could not be happier or more satisfied with the experience. First and foremost, my partner and I loved having her there. She and her assistant Chantal (who is equally wonderful) made us both feel comfortable and at ease, made us laugh and kept us distracted when we otherwise might have felt overwhelmed by emotion — which is not an easy task with 2 brides. And we could tell that our families felt the same way during the family photos. At the ceremony and reception, they were perfectly everywhere, catching every moment, while not being at all intrusive or commanding. It felt like they were part of the party and genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves, which means that I’m sure they captured our guests candidly at their best Leylla was also amazing to work with prior to the wedding. She was accommodating of our requests and answered all of our questions promptly. We feel so confident that she perfectly captured our wedding and we can’t wait to see the photos!

Leylla is an incredible photographer! Impeccably professional, she captured all of the gorgeous details of our wedding day (and took amazing engagement photos) with her trademark style. Leylla is unstoppably creative and sweet as a peach, making us comfortable even amid the mayhem of a wedding day and capturing the spectacular magic of the event better than we could have dreamed. We’ll happily use her for family photos, actor head-​shots, or even the occasional FBI stakeout.

Leylla is an incredibly talented photographer who can make even the most camera-​shy feel comfortable. Her prices are low considering the high quality of her work. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Leylla as our engagement photographer. She is more than just a photographer, but rather someone who cares about using her artistic skills to help those less fortunate with local non-​profit work.

Leylla, Leylla, Leylla… She is so AMAZING at what she does! She’s fun to work with and is always smiling. As a makeup artist I have worked with her on a couple different projects and her photos are always FLAWLESS. She captures the emotions and love that two people share that will last them a life time. She has the eye to capture the perfect shot and is a true artist. I follow her work and am always amazed by how she is able to capture each couples personalities each and every time. I can’t wait to work with Leylla again!

Where to begin?! Plain and simple, Leylla was the most amazing photographer we could have ever asked for. I stumbled upon her website just by chance, and was immediately blown away by the quality of her photos. I emailed her right away and said how much I loved her work, and told her a little about what we were looking for in an engagement/​wedding photographer. Her response was «I like where you’re going with this, and I think I’m your girl.» I loved her confidence, and I was sold! I showed her blog to my family and friends for their opinions and they all agreed we should meet with her and see how it goes.
We met at a Whole Foods in San Diego and chatted over Peet’s Coffee. She was professional but fun, and brought her laptop to show us some more options and other occasions she had worked on. We walked away from our meeting with our minds already made up that we wanted to use her.
She photographed us in downtown San Diego for our engagement session. It was Superbowl Sunday so it was dead empty, and we had the whole place to ourselves. Matt and I were so incredibly nervous and awkward, but Leylla walked us through the process and our shots turned out great! You could barely see the sweat on our brows ;) She captured our fun-​loving personalities and they really showed in the photos.
For our wedding, Leylla showed up early and popped back and forth between the bride and groom rooms, taking candids and detail shots. As soon as the ceremony began, she was right in the middle of the action — but I don’t remember ever seeing her! The only proof I have that she was there is the photos. She caught every single detail of our joyous occasion, SOLO. I can’t believe how thorough she was. My friends and family are still ranting and raving over the quality and quantity of amazing shots (all of them). We partied on and Leylla made her rounds getting photos of the guests and the cupcakes and the flowers… it really is amazing how she captured everything about our wedding. I relive it every time I look through my photos.
Final important details:
— Leylla posted blogs with teasers of our edited photos, and followed close behind with mailed CDs of all the edited photos.
— Great communication. Every question I had she responded in a timely manner. When planning a wedding (or any other stressful occasion) time is of the essence, and she understood how important that was to me.
— Her prices were extremely reasonable for the quality, time and effort put into her work.
We can’t wait to use Leylla at Imagery With Impact again!
