In Good Taste

In Good Taste catered our two shivah minyanim after my mother’s funeral with delicious food excellent service, and a completely seamless experience. I needed a caterer with the expertise to simply take over and provide plenty of the right foods and quantities. With Gayle we were in skilled, experienced hands. In Good Taste catered our bat mitzvah weekend 10 years earlier, and they came through beautifully once again for this occasion. I recommend them highly.

Gayle and Ross of IGT catered my wedding in Balboa Park this past weekend. I decided to write a review while the memories of the savory food and excellent service are still fresh in my mind. They tailored the menu to our tastes and budget and it exceeded all expectations. The braised short ribs and pumpkin lasagna took center stage during the reception and with good reason; every dish was prepared with fresh, high quality ingredients and served at the perfect temperature. On top of the delicious cuisine, the friendly staff provided high quality dinner and bar service for our guests.

In Good Taste catered a cocktail party in our home and a luncheon at an event location. The food at both was delicious, innovative and plentiful. Gayle was immensely helpful with menu suggestions and took care of everything including linens and flowers. Kevin was masterful about setting up and serving. Definitely would use them again!

My husband’s company holiday party was catered by these folks, and we were all blown away! A fantastic spread of appetizers led right into a delicious meal of braised short ribs (to die for, melt in your mouth, eat it with a spoon!), Egyptian couscous, and roasted veggies, all kicked off with a salmon salad that was big enough to be the main course. the dessert, oh the dessert! warm chocolate-​gingerbread cakes topped with orange/​chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and berries. i drooled so much just looking at it that i think i actually lost a few pounds!
of course, no one knew that I’m allergic to fruit and every single dish had some sort of fruity thing in it… i was fairly sick for a few days afterwards but let me tell you, it was so worth it. absolutely, positively, wonderfully worth every bit of pain that followed!
