It’s A Dog’s World

Had a combo of belgium fries and a chili cheese dog. Put simply, it was delicious!
Would recommend to any hot dog fans out there.

It’s A Dog’s World catered my birthday party for approximately 170 guests. Everyone raved about the food! I will definitely use them again!

Possibly the most disappointing and over priced trucks in San Diego. $ 7 for a straight forward chili dog which tasted and felt like a 99¢ bun and dog. Fries were $ 2 more and came out cold. The only reason why I am giving two stars is because the gentleman working the grill refunded me my money. This truck needs to seriously reconsider their product and their price points.

This is quite possibly the worst food truck I’ve ever eaten from.
I ordered a chili dog and paid $ 8 for it. What I got was likely a $.99 bar-​s frank with Hormel canned chili on top and a sprinkle of cheese.
If I’m paying those kinds of prices I at least expect a Hebrew national or a Costco dog.
The dog was small and cold, as was the chili, and the bun was stale and dried out.

It’s a pleasure to have It’s A Dog’s World come to our job. Their food is excellent good customer service and our employee’s love it when they are here along with myself.

Wow!!! If you are thinking just regular hot dogs when you see this truck, THINK AGAIN. Thai dog? Goofy foot (this one has Mac and cheese)? Let your adventurous side order your meal with these guys. Both of these dogs are WINNERS. Not so adventurous? Their naked dog and traditional chili dog are delicious too. I had the pleasure of eating out of this truck at an event my apartment complex put together. Not only were they delicious but they were also fast, and the staff was nice and personable.
You can’t go wrong eating these dogs!

We booked this truck in March for our event in May.
We advertise them on our website from March to May, telling everyone of how excited we are to have them at our event.
They cancel on us 1 day before the event, leaving us scrambling for an alternative vendor.
We hear excuses, they need more money, etc., and EVEN IF WE PAID THE MONEY, they COULD NOT guarantee that they would arrive on time…
Very Very disappointed that they would break their commitment, especially so close to the event starting!
We book this truck and their sister truck, Farm Girl Bacon Truck (which also canceled on us)

Adding 2 stars because management took serious ownership and impressed me by promising to step it up.

I got a Goofy Foot Dog (Hot dog with mac & cheese on top) — it was even better than I could have imagined a mac & cheese topped hot dog would be, and I have quite an imagination when it comes to food! A++++ will eat here again

One star until they actually show up. Was excited to get this truck’s food but when we called the owner asking why he wasn’t here at noon he said he had forgotten the schedule. Thanks bruh.

I ordered a chili cheese dog & the regular fries, overall a good experience.
Pros:
–Staff were very friendly!
–Quick service!
–Fries were good!
–Creamy Sriracha sauce was good, (I highly dislike spicy food).
Cons:
–I couldn’t say the chili dog was worth $ 7.50+tax.
I will probably try them again! The goofy dog looked good!

Took the fam to Allied Gardens Community Park for their annual Easter egg event and IADW arrived for the lunch crowd. I ended up getting a Thai One On veggie dog and an order of their Belgium fries, or frites if you wanna be so fancy. Both were tasty.
The veggie dog, topped with a Thai inspired fresh salad was quite good. I could’ve gone with a usual chili cheese, or other exotic, and as the gal’s suggestion for lighter fare, Thai One On hit the spot. Delicious, without the food coma or aftertaste of regret. The pieces of wilted iceberg lettuce were unnecessary, other than to cover the blank space on the other half of the paper boat which also covered the two orange slices, so I wasn’t sure if it was garnish or a simple salad without dressing. Besides, I did get a side of their Belgian fries, which is their basic fry with an extra sprinkle of stuff on top for double the menu price.
Wifey liked her sliders and fries and my friend enjoyed the Goofy Foot. If you like good, homemade mac & cheese plus hot dogs, then this may interest you. As with most of the dogs on the roster, they are generously topped, so grab some extra napkins.
Friendly service and tasty snacks, although my Costco sensibility says paying more than $ 1.50 for a hot dog and a soft drink is crazy. If we cross paths again, IADW, I will check out the sliders.

The company I work for has used a bunch of food trucks for various events that we host. It’s A Dog’s World was by far the best both in service and quality. They were professional, prompt and very friendly. They were both easy going yet business minded. We’re already booked for the next one!

We booked It’s a Dog’s World food truck for our son’s birthday party at Del Sur park. Karrie was very professional, prompt and responsive to all our requests. It was a pleasure working with her!
Esteban showed up a few minutes earlier than scheduled time to meet with us and review all of our requests. He was professional, personable, and provided excellent service. We told him we wanted to keep our costs to a limit, and he was great about letting us know when we reached our limit.
All of our guests loved the food, and we appreciated the fantastic service!
I would definitely recommend It’s a Dog’s World to everyone!

I had the chili dog and the Belgium fries. All of it was good and the service was friendly but the lack of the perfect rating was that I found hair in my fries. They need to start wearing hairnets for hygiene purposes.

There’s just something about a food truck that’s so awesome. A restaurant on wheels that sells decently priced delicious food.
I found myself at this food truck because I was at the San Diego Made Holiday Mart. I was starving and gourmet greasy food appealed to me.
I ordered the Goofy Foot Dog and Belgian Fries. The Goofy Foot was a hot dog topped with 4 cheese Mac N Cheese and came with a side of salad. I can’t say it was too special as I’ve had hot dogs like this before but I liked the addition of the salad which kept the meal from being too heavy. The fries were good.
All and all it was a satisfying meal but not that unique. I wish there were more interesting combinations but still a good option if you want hot dogs.

I had the BBQ hot link. The coleslaw is awesome! The fries are real potatoes. Seriously best food truck I’ve ever eaten off of.

Greasy basic food.
Worse customer service. With their bad attitude, I would not be surprised if it reflected their cleanliness or their food.
Go to another food truck.

I simply don’t understand why these fake fancy food trucks are so popular.
The Good: Umm… It’s a truck, so the food is right in front of our office building. On a short lunch, it can be the only option. I guess that’s a good thing right? And I guess the guy behind the window didn’t yell at me or anything.
The Bad: Dogs are small and way too expensive. I can’t help but compare the «naked dog» to Costco, where the hot dogs are literally 3x bigger and taste better than the dogs on this truck. And at Costco they are $ 1.50 with a soda, vs $ 4.50 on It’s A Dog’s World and an additional $ 2 if you want a drink.
The Ugly: A truck that specializes in hot dogs, and the only sides they have are kethcup, mustard and relish. That is an abomination in my book. They HAVE to get at least some chopped onion, if not multiple different types of relish, peppers, etc…
Overall, I wouldn’t go back to It’s A Dog’s World if I had a choice, but sometimes it’s crunch time and I had to grab something before a meeting and this is the only option. Sure they put some different toppings on hot dogs. So does weinerschnitzel and they don’t charge an addiitonal $ 3 – 4 for a tablespoon of mac n cheese, cole slaw or chili.

It’s a Dog’s World’s hot dogs are the epitome of fun and delicious street food. All of those other fancy hot dog places seem to miss the mark, but It’s a Dog’s worlds nails it on the head. I ordered the Goofy Foot, which was an amazing decision. The hot dog is topped with queso fresco, garlic aioli, chives, and… wait for it… Mac and Cheese that has been spent a few seconds on the grill to get a nice crispy bottom (yes, it is as amazing as it sounds). The mac and cheese is so good I would probably order another side of it if possible.
I will definitely find this food truck again and try some of the other items!
