Good food. The furniture is a bit old and dated, but the service was great and food was perfect!

Ordered party tray for 5 – 6 people. House fried rice, chicken wings, chow mein noodles and shimp. Total = $ 189.00. When we got our food. ¾ of the chicken and shrimp tray are those fried chips and ¼ are the actual chicken and shrimp. Overpriced! Could have drove a little farther for a better tasting chinese food and half the price.

Ordered from here through eat24 and totally disappointed pricing was wrong got charged $ 10 more than was listed on order confirmation ! Pineapple fried rice had curry in it THAT WAS NOT LISTED on the menu which made it uneatable, orders chicken egg rolls was supposed to get 4 and only got 3 and had no taste! Total waste of money and will never order from them again!

Went there with a big party of family. Went based reviews on here. Bad mistake! We ended getting a $ 118 package that included a variety of dishes both Thai and Chinese… The best thing served to us was the white rice… Everything else left a bad taste in our mouth. When something says Thai I expect great Thai flavors and this was not at all that. No spice no nothing. Will not be returning. We would have been better off going to the Italian place next door.

This place is amazing!
I had the green curry with chicken and my boyfriend had the red curry with duck and they were both delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

Very disappointing service. There were only 4 groups in the entire place, including us and they were very slow and brought one entrée before our appetizer and the second entrée. My friend had finished her food before the appetizer was even served. Terrible

Very good restaurant. They have both Thai and Chinese style entrees so if you get fried rice make sure to say which as the flavors are quite different .a wonderful pad thai spot too as the peanuts are on the side for your own taste to decide. Also a new boba meet-​up place as well!

If I could give «0» stars, that is what it would be. My 1^st time here but not for my GF. She raved about the food. Upon arriving they do not have a separate spot at the counter for pick up/​to go orders. The line was not to bad but non the less they should assist customers accordingly.
It took 16 minutes for someone to come to our table. When he did he asked «are you ready»!, I said yes of courese. Very unprofessional… wrote the order down on the back of a bundle of what to appear as old receipts.
It took another 8 minutes to bring a Thai iced-tea…none of the other drinks. Waited another 10 minutes and no water!!! Nothing! We are now 30 + minutes into our dining experience. I got up from our table and went on a hunt for water. I came across our tray of 3 waters and an iced coffee. I took the tray from in front of the ladies working the counter… delivered the drinks to my family and returned with tray and stated to the ladies «if this lack of service continues, we will walk out and not pay any portion of our bill». The lady looked at me and continued to work on the computer.
I returned to our table and the soup I had ordered came a few minutes later. The thing here this was not an appetizer… it was my meal. 15… yes 15 minutes later another plate came an then a few minutes after that the 3^rd and last plated showed.
On my GF’s plate they put semi hot noodles on top of cold meat.
A few more things took place but you can get the just of it from here. This was a very disappointing and unsatisfying dining experience for my family.
We left «NO» tip! And most likely will not return. This was more disappointing for my GF because she is able to compare from previous… for me there are a bunch more Thai food establishments a lot closer to our home.
I’m sure they are better than this. But this visit did not help there star count.

The food was meh. I was craving Thai food when I went for lunch and left still craving Thai food.
Spring rolls are filled with mostly vegetables… and alfalfa? what the heck? who puts alfalfa in spring rolls?
My entrée was the pad see ew. Lets just say the last part of that name serves it right. Almost half the plate was garnished with carrots and beansprouts, leaving me to wonder why they filled half a plate useless bland vegetables. The sauce was virtually nonexistent. Broccoli fell apart when I put it in my mouth. It was not spicy, not sweet, not tasty… I actually have no idea what I ate!
Great place for variety and portion size, but not if you’re looking for quality. It is neat how they offer Mandarin food options as well. The menu is a little overwhelming, but who knows maybe the Mandarin cuisine is better…

The Honey Chicken was really good, great crisp, chicken done well, and the sauce was awesome. What was confusing was how bad the Pad Thai was! Many users here have pointed this out, they really need to do something about it. I could barely get through a few bites it was so inedible. I would advise them to completely redo the recipe or don’t offer it on the menu. The noodles were overcooked so it was mushy, the sauce had no sweetness or acidity, and there were no peanuts. How can you have a Pad Thai without peanuts?
One last thing, the music! It was sooo cheesy, it was like being on the set of a corny 1980’s romantic comedy. Why not just play some traditional Chinese or Thai music? It’s a cheap change that would make the place far more elegant.

I adore Jade Thai, the green curry and pad Thai are my go to’s when I want something tasty and satisfying. They are generous with the spices, and I’m a spice wuss, so I usually get a level 2 or 3 (my lips are still left tingling!)
They have a great special with curry with rice or noodles and a boba drink. Yum!

I called to place an order of salt & pepper chicken (usual item from a mandarin restaurant). However, this restaurant does NOT serve it as wings! They described it as «chunky chicken» lol. I would call it chicken nuggets. They do have salt & pepper wings as appetizer but not as an entrée. I am giving this place 4 stars because the staff was willing to accommodate what I had intended to order. with no attitude! Thank you Jade restaurant for being nice enough to do this :-)

Ordered Pad Thai with chicken since my fave local place was closed found these guys on Eat 24 and can say it wasn’t vey good they are very friendly and the restaurant itself is nice but the food was lacking in flavor and was extremely greasy.

Worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had. If you even want to call it Pad Thai. Flavor and texture were completely off.
I’m giving 2.5 stars because half of what I ordered was decent:
Pineapple Fried Rice — Amazing! I would order this again
Pad see ew — Delicious
Salt & Pepper Chicken — Pretty good
Shrimp Appetizer — Overcooked and dry
Cream Cheese Rangoons — Mediocre
Portions were perfect for the price. Just not the taste.

This a lot used to be one of my favorites but seriously I’m back here for the 2^nd time in the last month and HOW DO YOU HAVE ZERO THAI CHILI PEPPERS??? FAIL! I need to forget ever coming here again. Such a disappointment! Flavor profile is different when you don’t use Thai chili. There are a few of her spots here in SD and one particular that’s closer to me in Mira Mesa. I’m done with this place.
The dishes are good as long as you aren’t looking for «Thai heat» but I’m also not too sure about this fusion concept they are trying to go for.
Sorry guys I just can’t give a full review when I’m annoyed argh!

This is now one of my husband’s favorite Thai places in SD county!
Three of the four of us had curries — I had the «Red Curry» and tasted the «Green Curry» — both delicious, but I slightly preferred the Green. Our friends are vegetarian, so we had tofu with them, which was delicious! My husband had the Masaman Curry, but I dared not taste it, as he ordered a «3» in spiciness, and I’m a wimp. My girlfriend and I got «2“s for our curries, and it was perfect, but I wouldn’t want it spicier.
Our other friend always gets the Masaman Curry there, and loves it, but I teased him into trying something different, so he tried the Pra Ram, and thanked me later! Thank goodness — he would have razzed me forever if he hadn’t liked it!
I liked the Tom Kah (coconut soup) with chicken, but it was a little too sweet for me, and, although I ordered a «2» in spiciness, it had no spice. I would prefer a little more lime in it, and a little more «heat.»
We had a coupon for the Sticky Rice with Mango — a MUST whenever I go to a Thai place that has it — and it wasn’t the best I’ve had, by far. Too much white sauce on it, and a small portion of mango and rice. Decent flavor, but a little disappointing.
Oh — I MUST mention the SERVICE! Rosie was GREAT! She was attentive, and, when several of us ordered to-​go boxes, SHE boxed each meal for us, individually, and asked us how we wanted the rice split up! She was a sweetheart!
We will go back, with our friends, and I’ll try other things on the menu — the entrees were wonderful!

If you go there for what I went there for, it was 4 stars.
We needed a place where a bunch of us could eat for my grandaunts 92^nd birthday.
It was perfect because two very large tables were right next to each other, each equipped with a lazy susan (priceless if you have 10 people around a table, believe me)!
The offerings were plentiful and all the dishes were good.
The salad was a little salty, and their hot level 1 is more like a 3, but other than that, very enjoyable and good portion sizes.
So, you have a large party and don’t need anything expensive or fancy, this might be your place. :)
Service is nice. The server tried to take our group picture several times to make sure we got a nice one.
Also there is a buy $ 30 and get $ 40 Unilocal offer. I opted for that.

The only reason I’m giving it four stars, is because we are so used to fine dining, the décor is economical.
We had the eggplant dish from the Thai menu and it was delicious! The pad Thai was good. The service good. Very friendly. I recommend it. Mush prefer this over a chain restaurant.

A recommendation by my friend that was pretty good. The place looks like a normal Chinese place but with booths. I’m used to as many tables within the legal limit packed to the door. It was nice to see a place with more space. The people were really friendly and eager to do something for our table. Though it was quite hard to get their attention when we needed them for something. It seems as though they were shorthanded that day.
Notes:
1. This place is American spicy, not Thai spicy.
2. The clubbing music in this place is pretty hilarious considering the crowd I saw.
Onto the food:
Thai tea: I would order this again, but it felt like something was missing. I like how they served the tea separated from the dairy portion but the tea portion felt a bit watered down than what I was expecting. Still good though.
Fresh rolls: Pretty good but I don’t know if I would order this again. Three halved fresh spring rolls with nicely cooked shrimp halves beautifully shown on the outside with nice el dente noodles on the inside. That was surrounded by green lettuce, chopped cucumbers, julienned carrots, and sprouts. There wasn’t enough peanut sauce for me but it had a nice mild flavor compared to others I have seen.
Pork potsticker: Something I would probably not order again. Eight boiled gyoza that had a juicy pork and cabbage center. It felt like something that you can buy in a store and boil yourself. The sauce was a light soy-​vinegar sauce that was nothing to write home about.
Green curry with chicken: I would not order this again. The flavor wasn’t bad and the spice level was wonderful. It was a 7 that wasn’t bad as I was expecting. I liked the flavor of the curry and the fresh diced green and red bell pepper, diced carrots, bamboo shoots, and diced eggplant. The sliced chicken was juicy and pretty tender. It was wonderfully cooked, but the chicken was oddly dyed green which bothered me, but if you don’t look at it then it’s pretty good!
Pad Thai with shrimp: I would order this again! I loved the typical presentation with the shredded carrots, sprouts, and crushed roasted peanuts on the side of a mound of noodles. It had a good flavor to it though it was a bit different from other places I’ve tried, but I liked how nicely the shrimp was cooked. I enjoyed the bits of egg and sliced green onion.
Pad See Ew: I enjoyed this dish as well! The wide rice noodles were broken up but still had a good texture to it. This also came with a side of shredded carrots and bean sprouts on the side that we mixed in. I enjoyed the diced carrots, sliced broccoli, and juicy and nicely cooked pieces of beef.
Lemon Grass Beef: There was a reason why the waiter never tried this dish. It was good but there was too many small pieces of lemon grass to enjoy the flavor of the dish when you’re having to pick off all these small bits of lemon grass off of the beef and vegetables. I did enjoy the nice pieces of beef, chunks of garlic, diced mushrooms, sliced onion, sliced green onion, diced green and red bell pepper, diced green bean, and diced carrots piled high on a sizzling plate. If you pick out the pieces of lemon grass first, then this was way more enjoyable
Overall, I am not sure I would come back here unless my friend comes with me. It was a nice place that was close by to where we were and I would like to try new dishes here if I come back. Though the Unilocal deal here was a nice to have that I bought right when I was there. They made it really easy to redeem it.
