Awesome is not even the word. Jose and his team are great. they really believe in customer satisfaction! This is my automotive place!

Car repairs are never a fun experience, but this was by far the most pleasant and best customer service I have ever experienced. I can’t say enough good things about Jarvis Auto and the owner Jose. He truly went above and beyond to help me, providing me a ride back to work and picking me back up when the work on my car was completed. I needed a new clutch and called several places to gather estimates and Jose’s quote was the lowest. I really like that they give you «out the door» estimates so there are no surprises when you go to pay your bill. Most importantly, they are reasonable and honest. I won’t take my car anywhere else!

Ok I have much to do but I have to make time to write this review. AWESOME!!! I am more than your above average mechanic and have been working on all kinds of makes and models for well over 20 years. I did not have the test equipment to perform diagnostics so I reluctantly to it to «a repair place». Well to sum it up Jose is an upfront guy and I was throughly surprised at how fast and the level of quality of worked performed. I wish I had time to go into greater detail but I do not. If your worried don’t be!!! Jarvis is your place to go!!! 10 out of 10 stars!!!

I took my car to Jarvis based on a few personal recommendations from my wife’s coworkers. I had a few issues I needed checked out to see how much it would cost to fix them. It’s an older car and we don’t want to put much more money into repairing it.
Jose looked at my car that day and called me early the same night. He told me exactly what was causing the problems, how much it would cost, and that neither one was anything I had to fix immediately.
He didn’t charge for the time he took investigating the problems and was very honest. When I do decide to fix my car, I will definitely be bringing it back here.

I helped this shop to repair the Volvo S60 instrument cluster issue for their customer. Jarvis Auto Repair has an excellent team, customer service and technical knowledge. Thank you Jose! Hope to deal with you again.

Had a great experience with this shop. Jose was very helpful and knowledgeable. The price was fair and my truck, which needed a transmission rebuild, was fixed quickly and now drives and shifts perfectly. Juliette’s customer service was top notch. I will do business again and am recommending this shop to my friends and Co workers.

Tire Repair and check-​up d/​t accidental road hazard on 10÷5÷2015. Let me just start by saying that I wish this shop closer to where I live (Seattle, WA)! I had no intention needing any auto repair services on my road trip from Mexico, but after two simultaneous flat tires, there really is no other option. Not knowing any good repair services, I contacted the Subaru dealership, since I own a 2015 Subaru and my warranty was not covering the damage. Short on time and not having a trusting repair service shop around, I decided to do my research. Let me tell you, best decision ever! Jose was so attentive over the phone and understood my situation right on the spot. No hassles, quoted me the fair price and wait for it… gave me a set price over the phone and HONORED it despite it being more than what he intentionally thought it would be. I had looked around and it was accurate if not more for those tires and alignment, let alone labor costs. He had it ready when he said he would. I only have one complaint. I wish they were a bit closer… say Seattle?

Jarvis auto is a great independent shop. I brought my 98 outback there when I was having overheating problems after driving long distances. Jose was a pleasure to work with, and since the issue was non trivial, there was a lot of back and forth between us. It ended up being a head gasket after a 2 days of diagnostics (diagnostics are free btw) and Jose quoted me a very competitive price, almost too cheap. He worked with me and used all oem parts by my request and even sent me progress pictures along the way. He ended up saying that he quoted me too low, but stood by his price even after I said I didn’t mind paying more (quotes never seem to be the actual price anywhere else, anyways). Jose is the man to go to if you’re looking for a competitive and honest mechanic.

I honestly love Jarvis! Everyone there from the girls who run the office, the mechanics and Jose. I have the dumbest luck with vehicles and always wind up with hard to diagnose problems. Jose always figures it out and always offers such a great deal. His prices are competitive and his work is quality. Currently my car is having issues with the battery not charging, causing my car to lose power. I’ve had to bring my car back twice now and each additional services hasn’t cost me anything! As a college student living on a fixed income this has been a huge relief.

My Girlfriend phoned me saying her car was making a funny noise. She could not describe it to well, so she brought it over and I could see the fan belt pulleys were wobbling. She has a ’98 Mercedes E320 sedan. I contacted Jose at Jarvis and he said to bring it by and he would take a look. It took him about 2 mins to correctly diagnose a bad water pump. My girlfriend had contacted her usual technician (that she had been going to for years) and he quoted her over the phone approx. $ 650 for parts + labor. Needless to say Jose did the repair for considerable less than that at $ 450 — on a Saturday no less! It is not just that his prices are competitive, it is that he will stand behind his work and treats all his customers so well and wants you to be satisfied. I am glad we caught that quickly and acted on it or it could have been far worse.
I then brought him a trickier problem on my older Dodge Intrepid with an oil drain plug with striped-​out threads and a poor butterfly plug that was starting to leak. Jose did the repair, with a new plug and oil + filter change — all for the regular cost of just the oil change — like $ 40! I have never had a bad experience at Jarvis. Juliette in the office is so nice, and they communicate with you easily, diagnose very well and always let you know before they start what it will cost. A pleasure to work with and I will continue to bring my vehicles there and tell as many folks I can recommend.

I had just bought my first used car knowing it had very minor repairs needed and was quoted around 1,500 from the first mechanic I saw.
After searching around I saw the stellar reviews for Jarvis so I took my car there and ended up saving 1,000 from the original bid!
Jose was great, answered all my questions and offered great options for my budget.
Would definitely recommend.

I had an outstanding experience here. The customer service was friendly and the mechanics were tip-​top! I went in for a Check Engine light, and the turnaround time was quick. Jose took the time to go over the diagnostic in layman’s terms and expedited the process, knowing that I was in a time crunch. Big thumbs up for this place!

I love this place! Jose is very kind-​hearted and so is Katie (I think that’s her name who runs the office). I felt that they had a general concern for their customers’ well-​being, which is super important for a mom who is toting around two little ones everywhere. Amazing service with wonderful care. Totally trust-​worthy. Take your car to them. They are good people who are looking out for their customers’ best interest. I will never take my car anywhere else again. This is my second experience with them in a two year span and I feel completely taken care of and safe in their care. You will be happy you chose this company for your auto repair.

Jose at Jarvis was very up-​front and honest about what my transmission problems were, what were my options (including relative expense), and then he was very understanding and accommodating about an extra night of storage and an early morning pickup.

Jarvis Auto was recommended by one of my husband’s co-​workers. My fix engine light was on and Jose replaced the needed part. Two weeks later, the fix engine light was back on and I took it in for service. Monica called to say the part they used to fix the car was defective and they replaced it, no charge. Five stars in my book.

I know I left a review a couple of years ago I need to update it. This place is the bomb. Jose and his staff are so professional and excellent. They know their work. They know all about engines and cars, high end cars and they are so personable, friendly, and respectful. I have been there a dozen times, and it’s consistently the same I love these people. Right before a long road trip from San Diego, California to Portland, Oregon my Chevy suburban required repairs prior to departure. After explaining my situation to the owner Jose, he knew exactly what the problem was and said he would be able to fix it in the same day (Saturday). Services were completed at a reasonable price with no delays to my trip.

Fixed my 95 Seville Northstar head gasket problem pronto.
I took this car to dealership and 4 other shops … dealer wanted $ 9k to fix !! Other mechanics had no clue how to work on Northstar engines.
Jose is a very experienced Cadillac man who really knows his stuff. He rebuilt my engine and fixed A/​C and few other items — car runs like new. Love it.
He showed me how fixing a Northstar engine properly is a technical specialty that only a few shops in the US can do competently. This guy is a pro and, being in SoCal/​San Diego area was very convenient for me.
