History

Established in 2005.

Jaz has been a Licensed Massage Therapist starting out in Minneapolis, MN as a Shiatsu Massage Therapist. She explored and added the variety of modalities listed above. Her curiosity in eastern traditions took her to study abdominal massage (Chi Nei Tsang) with Taoist Master Mantak Chia in Chiang Mai, Thailand, move across country to attend Pacific College of Oriental Medicine to persue a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine as well as complete an internship in Chengdu, China. She is now settled in the San Diego Hillcrest/​Bankers Hill area to share her knowledge and wisdom with the SoCal community.

Jacintha ‘Jaz’ R.

Business Owner

Jaz is a graduate of University of MN-​Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She studied massage at CenterPoint Shiatsu Massage School and Clinic in Minneapolis, MN, specializing in Shiatsu Massage and Chi Nei Tsang (Abdominal Massage) – which she traveled to Thailand to study with a Taoist Master. Jaz then attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and completed the MSTOM program in December 2012. Traveling to China, she took the opportunity to do an intensive internship at a TCM Hospital in Chengdu. Currently she works at San Diego Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture with colleagues and a professor. For fun Jaz enjoys painting, drawing, photography, yoga, meditation and rock climbing.
