***FYI– this review is mainly for the tennis courts*** This is a nice, neighborhood park with 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a small playground for children, and a softball? field. Not sure if it was because today was Superbowl Sunday, or if it’s normally pretty quiet, but there were less than a dozen people out at this park this afternoon. This is an especially important factor for me since I’m so terrible at playing tennis, and I’d rather there be as few witnesses of my humiliation as possible. PARKING There’s a parking lot and spots available on the street as well. As I said, no problems finding any spots today. I arrived around noon on a Sunday. TENNISCOURTS The 2 courts are located beside the basketball court and past the sandy playground area. I like that there are windbreakers lining the courts as well as benches, trays for balls, and hooks on the fence. Net straps were on both nets, but the strap on the court I was playing on was broken. Not sure how to use the sign in board, but the court was open and no one else came to wait on us, so it was fine. There are no lights that I saw for the playground or bball/tennis courts, so come play early before it gets dark! The courts were clean and appeared well-kept. Definitely will come back, especially if it doesn’t get that busy. We’ll see! LOCATION This park is right beside the Scripps Ranch Raquet & Swim Club and across the street from a small plaza with a teeny tiny gas station and Pazzo’s.

Huge park with a tennis court, a basketball court, a playground, a staging area for performers. Across the street would be a little center to get pizzas and a mini store/gas station. Great place to have a picnic with kids.

One of the older community parks in the area. And still looking good after all these years. The Scripps Ranch Little League organization holds their annual parade and kick-off celebration at this park. When crowded, parking can be limited. Patience is crucial; keep your eyes on folks driving their SUVs and Minivans above the speed limit nearby. The baseball/softball fields are well maintained and the public restrooms are flushing at full capacity. Lots of room to run and have a flag-football game. If you walk your dog here, courtesy is a virtue. Pick up after your pooch. Otherwise, payback is a bitch. The locals here live by a higher standard.

*BASEBALLFIELDSONLY(FORANNOYINGLITTLEKIDS)* So I didn’t know that these fields existed until recently. Went down to watch a game and was surprised how nice these fields were. I guess life is a little grander on the«other side of the tracks». Fields appeared to be in impeccable shape however there are two issues that I saw: *There are no lights so games must be played earlier making it tough on the working parent. *Small parking lot and pretty tight spaces. May have to park on the street and do a little bit of walking. Overall a very nice facility that offers walking trails along with some playground equipment for the young ones.

Nice place to walk your dog since it’s a wide open field. There’s a little playground and a little trail. However, there’s a lot of annoying little kids who play sports and take up practically the whole park. So go on the weekend or before 3p.m. or after 7p.m.
