Journeys Shoe Store

This Corporation has an unfavorable return policy. The clerk at the store ordered the wrong boots for me. This happened to me on the 27 Nov 2015, my wife bought a pair of the 1460 Doc Martens, I realized they were not leather (Store #371). As soon as I made it home from work that day, I told her these were not leather boots. We promptly took them back to exchange for a pair of leather boots. Empl# 420 647, tried to convince me the Vegan Leather was real leather. I just told him to order me a pair of 1460 Cherry Doc Martens Leather. The return at this point seemed smooth but to my surprise on 10 Jan 2016, the day our family could gather and celebrate Christmas, we discovered the boots that had been ordered by the clerk were the completely wrong boots (R15265601).
We followed the return instructions. Returned the incorrect product to Journeys Inc. The RETURN instructions were followed. The boots were sent via UPS Ground (Track#1Z V52 2E3 06 2605 1968) on 11 Jan 2016. The instructions said the product could not be returned to the store and I would receive a credit to my card once received and processesed. RYAN at the Dock in Lebanon, TN received the boots on 15 Jan 2015 @ 1059. I was NEVER credited by Journeys Inc. $ 169.99…Still waiting patiently for my refund.
On 12 Feb 2016, I called customer service on there packing list 1−888−324−6536. Tragically laughable, Journeys Inc prints they incorrect phone number on their packing lists (Picture Posted) I hunted down the CORRECT number somewhere in the internet. Spoke to a Journeys Inc operator I explained that I did NOT receive a refund, I gave her all the info. She told me I would be contacted in a couple of business days. Still waiting patiently.

My daughter needed chucks and they were here. Staff was helpful and store pretty clean. We never have issues coming to this store.

Sorry folks stood in the center of the store and needed help for about 5 minutes. 2 of the women were talking about nose rings and had no clue their job was to assist customers with their purchases. As it was said in Pretty Woman, «Hugh mistake. HUGH».

I would not step foot in this Journeys ever again. They have the worst customer service and they were very unprofessional and disrespectful. I wanted to see if they have a kid’s size shoe available because I have small feet and the girl that was working said that they wouldn’t have a kid’s size that would fit me. Okay, let me try the adult size then since you seem to know my feet better than I do. I grabbed one of the shoes on display and another guy came and said, «Don’t try on the display, that’s gross! Come on now!» when I was just holding the shoe in my hand and looking at the interior of the shoe. Awesome, accuse your customers of doing something that they weren’t even doing. He then proceeded to tell the girl that was helping me to «handle your customer» like I was a dog, slave, or a small child. She then smirked and said, «Oh, I’ll handle her all right» like she was going to bend me over and do me in front of the store. Maybe we should have a threesome with all the shoes too.
UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, AND RUDE.
If you hate your job, I suggest you find another one instead of displaying your dissatisfaction on your face and harassing your customers.
JOURNEYS, you need to do a better job hiring your employees and not pick unqualified and incompetent people just to fill the position. Maaybe that’s why your store is always empty when I pass by.

The worst customer service ever!!! The cashier (long hair guy) was super rude… i dind’t finish my purchase and bought my son shoes in another store

Hiram is the worst person ever, in customer service. If the world had the worst person in customer service, it would be Hiram, with the exception of multiplying that a 1,455,736,012,010 times. This guy refused to do a refund because in his «opinion», the RIGHT SHOE has been «worn». He made us look like fools, in front of 6 other people in the store. He vehemently stated that he cannot and will not offer a refund. Now, keep in mind that Hiram totally disregarded the LEFT SHOE, because he had tunnel vision on the «scuffs» of the right shoe. Ask yourselves, why on earth would I only wear one shoe, and return to the store in an attempt to get a refund? You see, Hiram even offered an exchange, but if the shoes were –really– worn, an exchange also goes against «company policy». So, ladies and gentlemen, here we have a customer service representative, with a faulty logic and perhaps even a set of faulty eyes. Here are the facts:
1. The shoes were unworn
2. The shoes were the last pair, hence, the left shoe was a floor model
3. The shoe material was «waxed suede», which means it is easily scuffed
4. The shoes sat at home in its box for almost 2 weeks
5. The shoes were brought back to this store, with the receipt
It gets worse. Really. Now, since Hiram and Co refused to issue a refund, we told him that we weren’t leaving until we get our money back. At this point, Hiram threatened to call mall securrrrrity if we refused to leave, and have us escorted off the premises.
In the end, thanks to a reviewer here, I contacted corporate at 800−423−6052, and explained our situation. The issue was resolved within a week, with help from John B., who is the district manager. The DM instructed us to return the shoes in-​store, which we happily obliged to. Upon the process of returning the item, HIRAM uttured these exact words: «Sorry. I was just following company policy…»
COOL F#*€$&G STORY, BRO. Instead of owning up to his mistakes, he had to have the last word. We responded with «OK, BYE…».
Avoid this location at ALL COST. This store has two of the most incompetent, and unprofessional workers in San Diego. If you end up doing business here, I suggest you keep the aforementioned corporate number handy. Good luck to any poor soul that considers doing business with this location!

I came into the store today inquiring about a pair of Dr. Martins I had been thinking of investing in. When I couldn’t find them and obviously looked as if I was searching for something a young man asked what I was looking for. I described the pair and let him know I didn’t see them. He corrected me and told me I was looking for the oxfords. Great! Exactly what I wanted. He then said «let me guess, you saw them on tumblr.», looked at his fellow sales associate and they snickered to each other.
As someone who is in retail management I would never want my employee to make a customer feel in the manner that they made me feel. I literally felt like I was being made fun of. Their job is to sell me something, the right thing to do would have simply been to inform me that they are out of season but perhaps I might like another similar pair instead.
Unfortunately, I will not be spending my money with this establishment in the future. And hope that for their sake their customer service and professionalism improve.

I came here today in search of some Doc Martens and they have the largest selection I’ve seen yet! That was a relief because it was the fourth store I’d gone to all day.
The staff was pretty much awesome! There were two guys in particular who were very accommodating. The long haired fella was super welcoming and easy going. The other handsome fella even went through the trouble of switching out the laces from a display boot with the boots I was purchasing. I guess you could say I was pleasantly surprised.
Another plus was that the staff was very knowledgeable about this particular brand. The information I got was very helpful.
I typically am not a crowd person, so I avoid shopping malls at all costs! My experience today at Journey’s was not only a success but somewhat enjoyable. The staff represented the definition of good costumer service!

Went in today to buy a pair of Ugg boots. Waited and waited and waited for a sales clerk to help me. Store only had 2 other customers milling around. Got tired of looking around and waiting for a sales clerk to notice me so I decided to look at the size of the display boots. I thought they were too big– looked to be a size 8. But since Ugg boots look huge they were actually my size. I tried them on and was admiring them and ready to buy them until a sales clerk came up behind me and rudely said, «if you want to try on shoes you need to ask us to get it for you so you don’t ruin our display.» WTH??? I told her «well I waited and didn’t see anyone to help me» she just walked away. Seriously? I put the Uggs back and walked out. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find that same model elsewhere (yet) but I’ll be damned if I go back to that crappy customer service store!

After reading previous reviews, I was quite wary about going in to journeys today. A few days ago I received a pair of limited edition Star Wars Vans for my birthday. Unfortunately, when they were purchased, the store did not have them in a 12 or 13, but only in 11.5. Of course it wound up being slightly too small, and like an idiot I lost the gift receipt. Luckily, even though the store was packed and I lost my gift receipt, Melissa (if the name is wrong and you read this, sorry! Bad memory) was able to help me very promptly and very friendly and professionally. I had no issues getting my old pair returned for them to special order a new pair to ship to my house with free shipping. And as an added bonus, when I decided to buy a pair of headphones as well, I found out they even have a military discount. Thanks for the quick assistance Melissa!

Went into journeys yesterday with my boyfriend and dropped 200 on shoes. Today I tried returning their house brand doc martens and got an ear full of about their return policy (don’t know if I ever got a receipt at check out and return policy is no return without receipt). I called the store nearest my work to return they said it would be best to go back to store where the shoes were purchased because they could look up the transaction id. Well here I am and at first the young male manager evokes the «well that’s their store and this is mine» line then furthers his point by saying «well if you came yesterday I could look up transaction id (and break your coveted policy!!!) but I can’t today sooo…».
I ended up calling the corporate number and was able to return my shoes through their office.
Just frustrating, that’s all. I think journey’s return policy is a little dated. Just saying!

I tried calling through my relay service because I’m deaf to store #1165 on 12/​07/​2012 at 1130 AM, At first Ray picked up and said he’s helping with a customer with a rude tone and hung up on me, then I tried calling again and this time Jesse answered and said Is that it then I got hung up again. What kind of customer service is this from Journey’s staffs? I’m so upset about all this and will advise my family and friends not to buy from this store and will file complaints. All I was trying to find out was if they stock Heely’s skates shoes for my 3 boys so I can get them for Christmas. Now I have to tell my boys that they are not getting them because of rude and disrespectful staffs like Ray and Jesse.

I can’t give this store anything more than one star, and that’s being nice!
I attempted to find a size 9 in SIX different styles, and they had none! I actually got to the point of asking if they carried size nine.
Everyone in the store acts like they are going out of their way to help you, and it was more than slightly annoying, they clearly hate their jobs here.
I guess they have enough traffic not not care about helping the customer for a sale because they were the least helpful i’ve encountered in a long time.

This Shoe Store is a great place for teenagers to shop. They sell
current trend-​casual fashions. Pricing is resonable and you can
also pick-​up gift cards for your favorite teenagers.

really nice shoestore, lots of choices and clean. The employees were nice when i went in there but the checkout was kinda GENERIC, wasnt something that would made me smile or come back in the future.

I say they should fire their employees and hire new ones that work for their money. All 3 of their employees did not pay any attention to anyone trying to get a size on Sunday night. They remained by the register counter talking to some friend dude, I took my business to the «lady foot locker» just two stores away.

Your typical skater/​surfer shoe shop. I come in here when i need to replace my flip flops. They offer a large variety and stuff actually goes on sale! I just bought another pair of reefs for 6.99! They also carry rainbow.
