History

Established in 1981.

The company began in 1981 as Kleenhouse Maid Service

and with a simple business premise: To provide a guaranteed

high-​quality domestic cleaning service almost anyone could

afford. Recognizing that some of the same management

elements that made the domestic service so successful

could be employed for office cleaning, KBM ventured into

commercial cleaning in 1984.

As we now celebrate our 30^th anniversary, KBM believes that our success was, more than anything else, built through the

realization that all people — vendors, customers, employees,

and even the communities KBM serves — are one

interconnected community. As a result of that awareness,

KBM has chosen to become ever more vigilant in its quest

to be socially responsible.

KBM was recognized in 2010 by the San Diego Business Journal as the 9^th Fastest Growing Privately Held Company in San Diego, and in 2011, the San Diego Daily Transcript named KBM’s CEO, Maureen Gray, as one of San Diego’s «Top Influentials.»
