Everything I’ve ever gotten here has been great. I see lots of reviewers talking about great vegetarian food. I’m a man though, so I eat steak and chicken. My favorites are the surf & turf burrito and the breakfast carne asada burrito. Love that they have an option of «extra meat,» as well. The green hot sauce is really good too. My wife is part Mexican and is really picky about«authenticity,» with Mexican food too, and she loves it.

This taco shop is down the street from my house. Everything I have had here is great. I usually get the potato rolled tacos, they are amazing! My husband often gets a carne asada quesadilla which he always enjoys. They have great beans and rice. It is family owned so you always see the same faces and they are always friendly. They also have fresh horchata which is delicious. I am mostly vegetarian so I like how they have a vegetarian section on their menu, that is not typical for a taco shop. I highly recommend!

Best Pollo Asada torta in San Diego hands down. I drive from Chula Vista all the way up here just for the pollo Asada torta. I urge anyone who reads my review to please try the big pollo Asada torta, it’s the best kept secret in San Diego.

I will never return the lady with the smashed in face like a pug is mean as hell!!! Rushes you I always thought she looked mean and she showed it today I called in for a order and mind you it’s no damn menu online or on Unilocal so I will have questions she was not patient at all and asked OKDOYOUWANTTHISORNOT! right in the middle of me asking a question this was it for me I will not be back! That’s why she fell that day doesn’t pay to be rude and nasty to ppl! If you don’t like to deal with customer service get out the business!

I feel like I’ve been jipped by thinking any taco shop I’ve ever eaten at in Pacific Beach, specifically, was acceptable. I’m a veggie burrito eater and rate taco shops by their beans, tortillas, and salsas. La Loma Bonita has THEBEST beans I’ve ever had at a taco shop. They are authentic Mexican, sit-down restaurant quality. Their tortillas are the perfect balance between flakey and chewy, and the salsa is flavorful. AND my veggie burrito wasn’t full of water. I’m salivating writing this. SOGOOD!!!

They have a sign that says no public restroom, so we decided to buy something. The lady was so nice, she told us that we didn’t have to buy anything in reorder to use the restroom. Either way it was so hot I needed to get myself a smoothie. It definitely hit the spot. I got a pineapple mango smoothie with natural orange juice and no sugar added.

La Loma is great any day of the week! Anything on their menu is worth trying. The rolled potato tacos are a great vegetarian choice or if your looking for somthing new. Their cauldo de red is a must have, but it’s only served on certain days so always ask!

the people are nice the place is cute but it’s not the greatest taco shop ever. I went early one morning for the chilaquiles with eggs and the tortilla chips were do dry and the beans tasted like canned beans. The Carne Asada torta is pretty good I’ve gotten it a couple of times but after a bad case of a stomach ache after eating at this place I have stopped coming.

Wow, just had a delicious tofu and veggie burrito! This is one of those places that takes vegetarianism seriously by providing a wider selection than most taco shops. Nice staff and clean environs.

Nothing flashy about the décor or the food at this place, but that’s not a bad thing. This place just serves up great tacos, burritos, tortas, etc. My favorite is the carne asada burrito and their breakfast burritos. The meat is always flavorful and cooked just right. Plus they have smoothies and freshly squeezed juices too! If it’s nice outside, they have a nice patio area around the corner from the main entrance.

I Love Love Love this place! I have lived closeby for the past 4 years and love getting the Carnitas Fries(same as carne asada fries, but pork instead or carne asada because they have amazing carnitas). Its a lot of food so i always share that with someone! I also get the California burrito(probably get that most often because its huge and easy to eat on the go) or the carnitas burrito. The smoothies are always made with fresh fruit and they make them right in front of you. My favorite thing is their homemade hot sauce!!! I sometimes crave just the hot sauce and wish they sold bottles of it that i could take home with me. They installed a new outdoor patio a few months ago with outdoor tables and big umbrellas and christmas light things that go around the fence. Its cute and mostly contained so I dont mind eating there with my small kids. Indoors is not so great in the summer because its not air conditioned and becomes really hot, so the patio addition is great. I also call ahead and they know my voice by now and sometimes bring the food out to my car if my kids are sleeping, just to be nice and because they truly appreciate the service.

This place is great for both meat lovers and vegetarians. My boyfriend loves their carne asada torta and goes to this taco shop for them. Their potato tacos are to die for. I must warn you that this place is quite expensive for a taco shop, but the price is definitely worth the food quality. Their fruit salad is also a good option for anyone who is more lenient to being healthy. The food tastes very authentic and the customer service is decent, hopefully when you are here you will have Rafa provide you with service. Lastly make sure to try their agua frescas!

2.5 stars. Had the potential to be an awesome Milanesa torta but the steak was so tough I couldn’t even bite through it. No Bueno especially since it was a $ 7 torta which is the highest I’ve ever seen for a taco shop!!! Rest of it was tasty though but meat quality killed it. Came with a chipotle cause that was yum.

I was skeptical about eating here but after not eating all day I needed something NOW! I took a leap of faith and… the food is absolutely A1 they’ve earned every star. I’ve never had tacos so good. My husband loved the fish tacos and is going back to get more! They know what they are doing. Their salsa is good and spicy and the meat is well seasoned. Yum yum yum!!! I had the chicken tacos and ohmygoodness Benny’s has nothing on these guys as far as tacos. I will absolutely go back.

Great food and I love to stop there for a quick burrito. Sometimes there is a bit of inconsistency with the orders, but they always come out great. The staff works hard and they have decent customer service. They have great california burritos, rolled tacos and their fruit bowls are great too!

Just recently tried this place. It is very easy to find and centrally located. The food is very authentic and has many yummy flavors. I’ve ate at a lot of Mexican food places but they don’t compare to the quality you get here. The prices are very fair and you definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommended this place for Mexican food lovers. They have the best salsa and chilaquiles I have ever tasted. Really glad I discovered this place.

Went in tonight for the first time, loved it! It’s a struggle being vegetarian with a carne loving boyfriend — one thing we have in common is our love for Mexican food. Unfortunately I’m always stuck with the veggie burrito that may not really be vegetarian… Good news! This place has a great vegetarian menu — not sure if they use oil to sauté veggies in(I assume so) to make it vegan. I got the tofu and veggie burrito(fresh crisp sautéed fajita veggies, tofu and I added guac), and potato rolled tacos — LEGIT. I have missed those fried rolled tacos! Damn. Anyway, my man friend got the Cali burrito added cheese, and a crispy chicken taco… said the tortilla was really fresh and scarfed everything down. Highly recommend!
