I am a Piano Teacher of The «Piano Adventures» Curriculum by The Fabers Primer to Level 5 and beyond Popular Music, Movie Themes and Scores such as «Twilight», «Harry Potter», «Star Wars», «Disney Music» and more… Classical Rock Keyboard Yearly recitals at The Scripps Ranch Performing Arts Center, which includes Trophies and awards. Quarterly Recording Sessions offered to students who wish to make their own CD for tracking progress and gifts for relatives.

History

Established in 1986.

I began teaching Piano, in the private Christian school my sons attended in California. As a «stay-​at-​home» mom, I desired to be close to my sons growing up, and to be involved with their school and other activities. I moved from California to the Northwest where I taught in Idaho and Montana. As my sons grew into men, I took on teaching as a full time occupation, along with performing and playing piano for private parties for businesses, banks, churches, Governors balls, Airline executives and high end restaurants and club venues.

I moved to San Diego in 2001 where I began teaching from «Music For Kids» in RB.

In 2003, I began the study of recording engineering. I have my own home studio working on Protools software. I now share this knowledge with my students by recording CD’s of their music and progress.

I have been teaching a total of 23 years to date. I love interacting with kids of all ages and find a great reward in imparting the joy and excitement of playing music!

I was born and raised in Plainview, Long Island, New York. I began playing piano at 4 years old, and started lessons at 9 years of age. Surrounded with a multitude of cultural and musical venues, as a child, and being close to NYC, I quickly became interested in music. «Mary Poppins» was the first musical movie I saw as a young child, followed my «The Sound of Music».

I played lead roles in several schools plays as a child singing and playing the piano.

My first paid job was playing organ in the church for my next door neighbors wedding. I was only 14. What a thrill!
