Level Up Meals

The customer service is fantastic. Emails are responded to quickly. The couple of times there’s been a mistake, they fix it. For example, the first week, they only dropped off half our order at our pickup spot. What did they do? Apologize and hand-​deliver the other half directly to where I was.
The food is pretty good. We’ve had a Pete’s Paleo subscription, but their food was often overly salted. Level Up doesn’t have that issue, and the food tends to be more appealing.

As a coach I’ve seen the fridge in our gym and was curious. We had free samples distributed one day in our classes and I enjoyed the small sample. Nutrition is important so I signed up for a week. I was impressed at how delicious everything was! I am now in my third week and am loving it! I recommend this service to take the guess work out of healthy food prep.

My wife and I decided to try them out for a week and had high hopes. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the food. They were all pretty flavorless and I had to constantly doctor them up with aminos, hot sauce or fish sauce. This was a surprise because I’ve made paleo dishes that were really delicious. I’ve also used other paleo food services in other parts of the country and their food was awesome. So I was expecting the same quality here. No cigar.
Also, for certain meals you have to remove the part of the meal you wanted heated up in the microwave. I found this a bit inconvenient and messy. Not a major issue but didn’t help their cause.
One thing in particular from a customer service standpoint that I wasn’t fond of is the weekly menu isn’t a la carte. You have to take that week’s menu in it’s entirety. They will make exceptions if you have allergies or really don’t like something. But if you like their… I dunno… beef stew and all you want is that for the week you can’t. So that’s a bit of a bummer. I get that it’s probably easier for them but it sucks that you can’t really customize your order.
Ordering and pickup were nice and easy, though. Too bad that was the best part of using this service. If the food tasted better I’d totally use them again. I guess their style of cooking just isn’t a match with my taste buds. But I’m apparently in the minority, so take that as you will.

I purchased the recurring lunch dinner 5 days a week… I pick up meals mon-​wed on Monday at the nearest crosscut in ocean beach and then pick meals for thurs-​fri on Thursday. Let me just say life changing, delicious meals, and incredible convenience. I like to cook but my job doesn’t allow for a whole lot of time to prep and I travel every couple of weeks so this has been such a bonus for my busy work life. Filling, great variety in taste and super easy to prepare. I love it so much I’ve been raving about it at work and know some of my work peeps are going to try this out. Cost is great considering how much I spent on groceries and eating out. Love love love!
I just had to add I just the duck and parsnips for dinner and because I’m allergic to shrimp I’m getting this delicious dinner again tomorrow! One of my favorite dishes !!!

I just did my first day on their program and the food has helped to ease my worries that I may not be able to do this whole Paleo thing. The food is beyond fresh and incredibly tasty it is not lacking anything. Outside of the food being great the customer services is outstanding. Being new to this I had several questions which Alex patiently and expertly answered as well as giving me great resources. If you are on the fence about going down this road trust me go with these guys! Thanks Alex!

I did the 3 day lunch selection to try these guys out and was very impressed. The food was delicious and easy to pick up. The gym I picked it up from might even get my business because they were so amiable.
Staying in track with healthy eating is a constant battle between cooking prep meals till the wee hours on Sunday, doing a sh** ton of dishes and going to the grocery store almost daily. I’m going to stop doing that, now! These guys have my business for sure!

One of the best health food choice there! Delicious, satisfying portion of meal yet does not make you feel bloated.

My husband and I love the food! We were amazed how delicious it is. It is such a treat to have a healthy and gourmet meal waiting for us at the end of the day. I feel like we now have time to exercise after work and eat a good meal. So glad we discovered Level Up.

I have been ordering Level Up meals for a few weeks now. I had been ordering from a competitor service on and off for a year or so and I have to say that Level Up is heads and shoulders above. They deliver twice a week. Their containers are flat plastic and easy to store and microwave. No cutting up packages and finding your own container at the office. The labeling is great and they have specific instructions, including when the food will be too old (and you should toss it).
Their meals are very creative… good use of spices… and minimal, but effective, use of fruit and nuts. Right now I am eating Chicken tettrazini with light mushrooms and capers, combined with spaghetti squash «pasta» seasoned lightly with dill and a pineapple slice on the side. wow. The other day I had a jamaican jerk chicken with nuts and light cranberries, that was combined with tomatoes and cooked dandelion greens. I have even been taking pictures of my lunches… I am that excited about them!
I think the price is extremely fair especially considering the convenience, the time I gain by not shopping, meal planning and cooking, and the help staying me on track with healthy eating. LOVE.

I started using Level up meals a few weeks ago after they visited our gym. The service is great. If you need anything or have questions they are very responsive. The food is great and very convenient way to eat healthy.

I am an active woman, I don’t do crossfit, but I walk a lot and I try to eat healthy. My biggest problem was to feel sleepy after a regular meal. Now that I eat paleo regularly I work more efficiently, I don’t feel sleepy at work no more and I feel much better. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is high. I strongly recommend Level Up Meals to everybody.

When I had an injury and couldn’t cook for myself, my co-​workers sent me a week’s worth of paleo-​friendly food. I thought I would be grouchy without the carbs, but I wasn’t! Even with my dietary restrictions (no shellfish, pork, or crustaceans), she was able to accommodate and work her magic. Delicious!
I remember the cauliflower rice, a seasoned beef dish, and others. She included a flan-​type Turkish dessert, too.
It was delivered in styrofoam containers, labelled clearly with heating instructions.
I also cut down my usual eating portions and ended up losing 8 lbs even though I only did paleo for a week of the 8 weeks after my surgery. Thank you so much!

Fantastic! I follow a paleo diet and was coming to town for a convention. I contacted the company because I’m also pregnant and wanted to make sure all ingredients were okay for me. Customer service was great! I was staying at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, so I scheduled pick up at CrossFit East Village (an easy 15 minute walk). Picked food up on monday and Thursday. Everything was so delicious! I only had a microwave for reheating, and everything remained tender and great! I am so grateful for Level Up meals and recommend them to anyone in the San Diego area.

Level up meals is a great service for those who want to eat paleo (or even whole30) but don’t have much time to cook or aren’t very good cooks. The pricing for the meals is very reasonable considering the ease and quality of the meals. I loved that they had organic and grass fed meals. I usually picked up my meals at a nearby gym on my way home. You don’t need to become a member of these gyms, you just pickup your meals there. Overall had a great experience with them. Made it easy to get in contact with them as most of my emails and requests where completed within a few hours of sending an email. Highly recommend them!

Had the most delicious meal today for lunch… Beef Spring Wrap w/​fresh veggies and ‘Hummus’!!! Can’t get over how yummy and creative the meals are! Still haven’t had a repeat! Going to start getting the dinners also! If you haven’t tried these Level Up meals — you should!

A friend passed along the information of Level Up Meals since I’m a recent Paleo convert. And I must say these meals are so good. Very flavorful and because it’s completely Paleo it makes it that much easier to stay on track! Highly recommend to anyone who is short on time or doesn’t want to take on the daily tasks of cooking your own lunches. Level Up is a simple easy way to keep to the Paleo lifestyle.

As a CrossFit gym owner and coach my cooking time has been severely reduced. I was looking for away to make sure I was still getting quality foods in on my tight schedule. I ran into Level Up Meals at a competition and me and my wife began their 5 day meal plan. The variety is good and the taste is comparable to restaurant style meals. The portions are adequate for me as a carry over snack (I’m 6’1″, 220) and plenty for my petite wife. Wish there would be an easier pick up point as we live in East County, San Diego, but otherwise I could not be happier!

Level Up has been a life saver! I’ve been getting them for a week and everything I have eaten has been really flavorful. They are usually filling enough but really the taste is what puts it over the top. I’ve been recovering from surgery so I haven’t been able to cook. Without Level Up, I would be at such a loss of what to do. They are also giving me fun ideas of new flavors to try once my arm is back in the swing of things!

Level-​up meals is a great nutrition service for those that are short on time and desire healthy foods.
I recently turned to level-​up to help with my nutritional needs. Their website is very informative about the Paleo lifestyle, and their prices are reasonably affordable considering you’ll be spending a lot less time in the kitchen and grocery stores. All you have to do is pick up your food at a nearby crossfit gym (you don’t have to be a member of the gym).
I made my first few meals these past couple days and am impressed with how great the meals taste and how easy the meals are to prepare. You can microwave the food inside the container it comes in, or transfer onto a pan or convection oven. Nothing has to be added, but I would suggest to add a tbsp of water if you’re going to reheat using a pan. This will prevent the meat from over-​drying (a tip I learned from one of the cookbooks I bought prior).
I’m looking forward to reaching my fitness goals and will update results in the future, along with how the experience was with the new diet (this time around I’ll be more strict).

I dropped in a crossfit class while visiting the San Diego area and was lucky enough to stumble on one of Level Up’s mini meal events. These meals are AMAZING! Well-​balanced, fresh and yummy. It’s not often that you have a great tasting-​super healthy meal. I sampled the Indian coconut chicken which was out of this world delicious. Def wish they had something as good as this back home. It’s perfect for crossfitters who want to try the paleo diet, but don’t know where to start.
