History

Established in 2010.

Being told time after time that we should open up a restaurant because of the home-​made taste of our dishes, we finally decided to start catering in San Diego for friends, family, and local church organizations. In 2012, we moved to Phoenix, AZ and are now catering events here.

Business Owner

Kat is married to the famous chef, Big Daddy «C», and helps him as he does his famous southern style — soul food — cooking. He was born in the heart of the south, Meridian, Mississippi where he grew with soul food in his veins. Big Daddy «C» cooks with heart. Both he and Kat love to watch people enjoying the dishes they create together! There’s nothing like sitting around with the people you love, eating your favorite dishes while laughing and enjoying each others’ company!

This is some of the best down-​home cooking you will get this side of the Mason-​Dixon line. The fish, done by true fisherman will make you never want to try and fry your own fish again. The meats are juicy, the sides flavorful and the desserts make you want to overeat often. That apple-​betty is a treat every time; I prefer it with nuts, but you can get it without– it’s still the bomb. The integrity and timeliness were also perfect. That is so critical to hosting a quality event. Ill be using them over and over again.

The food is amazing, makes your tastebuds do dance on the pallet. From the Deep Fried flavorful chicken to the Cheesiest Mac n Cheese, to the Apple betty dessert, it’s all a treat to your stomach. For now on a Lil Taste of Southern Comfort has my business for every function. You definately be satisfied and get your money’s worth!
