Some of the most fabulous views in all of Point Loma can be found at the very low-key and under-the-radar Loma Portal Arms apartments. Though a two-bedroom rental runs on the high side of $ 1,595 per month, the hard-to-find units sit perched gloriously on a hill that looks out onto the Pacific Ocean and takes in all of Mission Bay. It is exquisite! I found the place when I used to ride my bike up the hill along Poinsettia Drive. Once I stopped a few years back and the manager told me they rented only to seniors and NOPETSALLOWED! Oh well, I thought at the time. Now I was driving past the other day and saw a vacancy sign. I called and discovered that they now accept all ages of people but still NOPETSALLOWED! Though the construction of the apartments seems kind of ticky-tacky and the color is painted an obnoxious yucky color, there is no disputing the absolute gorgeousness of those sublime views. 1 UnilocalSTAR deducted for lack of parking in the immediate area and somewhat high prices.
