Great for wings, happy hour!($ 2 off starters, basic drinks 5 – 6:30pm) NOT great for watching sports. I’m mainly basing this review on coming here to watch a specific football game. The host was very nice but unfortunately they just are not set up very well for watching sports. Which is fine, except the Saloon is listed under Sports Bars on Unilocal. They have 6 TVs that I know of. 2 of them are linked together, so max. 5 channels at once: BUT, 2 of their TVs viewable from the main dining area were flickering on and(mostly) off — the host said it was some problem with Direct TV — so that left ONLY3CHANNELSTOWATCH. Our game was playing on the TV behind the bar. We were initially seated in the main dining area with a far-away view of this TV, but waiters and bartenders and the host kept standing right in our view! So we moved to the bar, where we had to turn slightly sideways to watch the game — no biggie! But the TV facing the outside bar(which is admittedly pretty cool) had the volume on so we could hear them announcing A DIFFERENTGAME, right above our heads! Kind of annoying. We watched the rest of our game from there, but it just wasn’t that fun of an experience. Plus, any time they change the channel on ANY tv, ALLTVS in the restaurant show the channel guide and relegate your game to a small corner :( On the positive side, the wings were cooked perfectly! We got the B.R.A.G. wings and the Creole-mustard sauce wings: the Creole wings were EPIC and definitely saved the day! Good happy hour price too! Definitely worth coming here if you love BBQ and beer. Not so much if you want to watch a game. Did I mention the $ 2 shots when an ambulance drives past with its siren on?
