Luis Angel was born and raised in Cuba, where his rich culture nurtured his artistic skills and passion for hair styling and make-​up artistry. He moved to Sweden in 1994, and worked towards his dream of training in The Toni & Guy Academy. He lived in London for a year while he received intensive cut and color training at The Academy, graduating at the top of his class. Luis Angel arrived in San Diego in November of 2001, and has been focused on building his business and furthering his education.

Since coming to the United States Luis Angel has continued his education in cutting and color at Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, CA, become proficient in Up-Do’s, training under Martin Parsons in Los Angeles and New York, and honed his styling techniques at Bumble & Bumble University in New York. He expanded his skills as a Make-​Up Artist, training at the Make-​Up Designory (MUD) Institute in Burbank, CA. His work has also been featured in LA Fashion Week magazine.
