Luke’s Love Family Day Care

This review is so that others may save themselves the heartache that I have dealt with the prior two months with this «daycare». Every other review posted is spot on and I only wish that I had checked on Unilocal before agreeing to use her services. Unfortunately when she advertises the daycare she does not advertise it under this name until you see it on the letterhead of the contract you’re signing. I should have done better research. She requires that you pay a month in advance or a two weeks deposit if you want to pay weekly. That should have been the first red flag but being military I was desperate to find care to fit my schedule and she offers 4am-​11pm and advertised $ 100/​week which you will find is inaccurate to what she actually charges. This is the most money hungry provider I have ever met in my life. She wants to nickel and dime you for every penny she can get. Steer clear of this place. We were late ONE time by 20 mins and she demanded we pay almost $ 90 upon pickup. Also after signing and agreeing to a set price she later said she misheard the times and had calculated the cost wrong and was demanding we pay additional money. In addition, after terminating my contract she tried to say that there was an $ 8 per day late charge, of the $ 110 I owed. That was almost a 14% interest rate per day she was trying to charge. This late fee is not addressed in her contract so beware. She will continually harass you and intimidate you by saying she will take you to court and I hope she reads this because I don’t care please take me to court! This lady is just trying to see how much money she can get out of people because she knows eventually no one will use her services after reading all these reviews of how horrible it is to deal with her.

My boyfriend and I had just moved to this state and were in dire need of daycare. I went here and she seemed to be fine. I paid for the first two weeks up front and she never watched my kids! she also tried to ask me for more money once I let her know that I had already put my notice in since she didn’t watch my kids. Her contract requires a week notice to cancel WITH payment. She kept emailing me insisting we owed her money. Since my children didn’t go at all and my one week cancellation left me with days over she should have reimbursed me instead she kept saying we owed her. In the end she ended up asking me for my ORIGINAL receipts! I never was reimbursed. She also does not answer your phone calls just emails you at a very inconvenient time.

Wow, I had a very similar experience to Zoe’s.
I second every single point she made, and I will add that you cannot get a hold of her during the day, and even if you leave her a message, you may or may not hear back from her. I’m sorry, if my child is in your care, I NEED TO BE ABLE TO GET A HOLD OF YOU. Period.
I cannot stress enough that you need to steer clear of this place, and please warn other people you know that are looking for daycare! We found a new place for our son to go, but had to wait a couple of weeks for him to begin there. Rather than leave him with Ms. G. for that time, my husband and I spent two weeks taking turns working from home and bringing our son to work. That is how uncomfortable we were leaving him in her care for even one more day.
I will also be filing complaints with the licensing bureau, the YMCA referral service and the BBB.

I would NEVER recommend this day care! I have spent all day reporting her to the licensing department and better business bureau, as well as posting on craigslist next to her ad, and on facebook.
1. Ms G is lazy. She does not rinse bottles or bibs and puts very dirty clothes in diaper bag instead of a plastic bag or just leaving them out of the diaper bag. Ms G didn’t take the time to feed my child either, admittedly my 6 month old fed herself…
2. She does not listen to mother’s wishes. Before attending Luke’s Love Family Day Care my daughter was exclusively breastfed. Ms. G gave her table food, and toddler snacks with out consent. When my daughter started baby food, the bottle went out the window. I would drop off 8 oz of milk and pick up left overs! 8 oz should be gone in 9 hours.
3. Supervision? I am not sure. My daughter only attended Ms. Gs care for 8 days. she came home with bruises twice. At this point my child was not crawling.
4. Honesty? I received an email from Ms. G telling me that my child had loose stools and could not attend day care the following day. I replied to her that breastfed babies have loose stools. its normal. she responded that she knew what diarrhea was and that poop leaking out of the diaper on to her clothes is not normal. UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH YEAH IT IS!!! Welcome to having an infant! Diapers are not leak proof. I asked ms. g. to save me a diaper so i could see the diarrhea… she did not. I had to miss work the following day. my child was not sick, and did not have diarrhea. Funny thing, Ms G still got paid.
5. We had enough and gave our 1 weeks notice per the contract the following Monday when i dropped off my daughter. Ms G. asked that i email her so that she had it in writing for her records. Later that day i did. On Wed., her last day, we gathered all her misc belongs and pack n play, and Ms. G. told me i would receive my refund in 7 – 10 days. I had to wait 2 weeks for Ms. G. to mail my refund to me. It was short 1 days refund. I asked why, and her response was that the time of my email was after closing so that day did not count. Ms. G. could have communicated to me that my notice would not count for that day. I could have brought my daughter the following monday. BUT She NEVER mentioned that i was paying for the following Monday. On the refund check it says Refund In FULL. No mention of Monday.
6. No parking for drop off pick up… be ready to walk a block. and if you happen to be in a rush and park in an open assigned spot… Ms G will send you an email reprimanding you and telling you never to park on the property again.
7. Insane late policy. $ 80 if you 16 minutes late
8. LAZY & Money hungry have no business watching our children.
