Mai Tai

We had the BEST time with Captain Dan aboard the Mai Tai. I was planning a girl’s outing for a friend’s birthday and found Mai Tai through Unilocal.
Captain Dan was very flexible. We were to set sail at 1PM for a 4 hour cruise. Some friends arrived 5 minutes late, and Dan was super cool about it, and even extended our time!
We cruised around the bay and saw the Midway from an angle you would never otherwise see. It was such a beautiful way to see San Diego. Then we cruised over to Coronado and anchored there while a bunch of us jumped in the water and swam. It was such a great way to spend a hot day in San Diego.
He had a bartender Miki who was super helpful and provided top notch service. She made sure we always had a drink in our hand.
The boat itself is gorgeous, class A. We would do it again in a heartbeat! Highly recommended.

My coworkers and I went out on the Mai Tai as part of a work outing. It was so much fun we had an amazing time! I highly recommend it!

11 of my work girlfriends came out on the mai tai yacht boat charter during the week on a sunny day in San Diego. When we got there Captain Dan gave us a few hints and rules to follow but his main priority was to make sure all of us girls had fun. Though we were only on the boat for four hours it felt like all day. I truly recommend the mai tai yacht charter for a group of colleagues no more than 12 or for an intimate party of just your girlfriends or guy friends! Dan made us girls feel very comfortable out on the boat and I can’t wait to go again !!!

Went out with my girlfriends from work, had a great time with skipper Dan. It was a much needed end of summer day on the bay. Couldn’t have asked for a better host/​navigator. The boat was beautiful and all 12 of us fit with room to spare. Can’t wait to go out again!

Thanks Captain Dan! We had a girls day out on the yacht and it was amazeballs! Dan is an awesome guy, he supplied us with a huge 8 – 10 person raft to float and swim around, awesome music, and mixers for our booze. His yacht is perfect size for 12 people, with seating on the bow, the top deck, the back/​swim deck, and lounge/​kitchen area inside. I would definitely book this yacht again and recommend Dan to anyone looking to have a great time!

My girlfriends and I booked a cruise with captain Dan on the Mai tai and had an amazing day! It was so much fun! The boat is clean, spacious, and stocked with what you need! He has a great sound system that helped keep the energy high and party going all day! Dan was a great captain and made us all feel very welcome! Mai Tai Charters has been one of the beat experiences I have had on the water. Captain Dan is awesome. My friends and I still talk about how much fun we had and it’s been over a month since we took the trip. We plan on taking another trip soon. Can’t wait! If you have never been on a cruise with Captain Dan, you are missing out.

Booked a cruise with Captain Dan a couple of weeks ago. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. Captain Dan was helpful, informative and funny – overall, a great host. His staff member was also very nice and attentive. The yacht was exceptionally clean (a must for me). We spent a total of three hours on the boat and enjoyed every minute of it. Saw the gorgeous downtown san diego and the ships around the harbor. Docked for a little while and enjoyed the floating island as well! The open bar was stocked and there was an option to bring our own food which we utilized! Pizza and drinks on a gorgeous yacht = YES PLEASE! Will definitely be returning to San Diego soon to book another adventure with Mai Tai! Keep up the good work and friendly service.

Had a blast with Captain Dan and his lovely crew of ladies out in the San Diego bay expiring the battleships, island and bridges of the area. The Mai Tai is a comfortable sized yacht with plenty of comforts, plenty of booze and drinks on demand, and they even made time to stop to blow up the inflatable island and swim in the bay for a while. Thanks everyone!

Absolutely fabulous! Captain Dan took us out for a perfect day of fun. He does such a wonderful tour! First he took us to see the seals, which warmed all of our hearts, and then cruised us right by the U.S.S. Midway. Such a different experience seeing that massive boat from that angle. Going under the Coronado bridge was one of my favorite parts.
After sight seeing, he anchors the yacht and all of us ladies got to jump off the boat and relax in the raft. FULL BAR. Needless to say, my girlfriends and I had a blast! It was truly an epic adventure! Thanks again Captain Dan, you sure know how to show people a good time!

Awesome cruise — we chose a three hour sunset cruise and what a beautiful way to experience San Diego! We were visiting San Diego from Atlanta with a few friends and thought that an outing on the bay would be fun. The Mai Tai cruise definitely was the BEST way to see San Diego Bay! Dan Wilson is a great host and has a wealth of knowledge about San Diego, the bay and all the places to see on the water. The cruise was great value for money — highly recommend adding the ‘beverage package’ as it offers an endless supply of ice-​cold beverages — which adds lots of fun to the day. The boat is awesome and offers all the amenities needed by a group — including a very modern bathroom. There was plenty of space of 6 of us without any problems of crowding. I can very easily recommend this to anyone looking for an adventure on the water.

Fun, fun and more fun. I surprised my mom for her birthday and she was elated to say the least. Dan makes everyone feel so comfortable and is very attentive. The boat was fabulous and fit perfectly with our Hawaiian themed birthday party. The Mai Tais were delicious too! My kids really enjoyed getting super close to the Sea Lions during our tour of the Bay, and we ended the day with a barbeque on the back of the boat in Glorietta Bay as the sun was going down. What an awesome experience we will never forget.

We celebrated my 30^th birthday on Captain Dan’s yacht and it was hands down the best birthday of my life.
Setting up the charter was a breeze as they accepted credit card over the phone or online. They provided very detailed directions to the marina as well as how to best prepare for our charter.
We popped mimosas on arrival and brought our own food and snacks for the day of cruising. We were spending the day on a luxury party yacht at a ridiculously reasonable price.
We cruised around San Diego Bay as he gave us a tour of some history and sights. A former Navy guy, Dan had great stories about all the training going on in the bay and around Coronado.
Insider tip: Ask him about the trained military dolphins when exiting the marina.
After a beautiful bay tour, we anchored in Glorietta Bay where we cranked up the tunes and spent some time jumping off the top deck of the yacht into the water.
Even in May, the water was surprisingly nice and not too chilly. The Bay is much warmer than the ocean side.
Grab a few friends and charter this yacht for less than most of you will spend at a bar/​club for a night of partying. This is an insane experience for not a lot of moolah.

What an amazing adventure. I’ve lived in San Diego all of my 40 years and it was the first time I had ever seen it from another angle. Captain Dan took us up close to many landmarks such as pulling up under the US Midway. Not only was his driving smooth but he could mix up some amazing drinks and his home made lasagna was the perfect lunch. We danced on the top deck with DJ Dans perfect mix of music, dove in the water, played games on the front deck, and I got my Titanic experience. We will definitely use him again. We had such a thrilling ride, we stayed on past our agreed time without any extra charges. A sunset like no other!

Having been around the water all of my life I have experienced many boat adventures, but this was by far the BEST! I can’t remember a time that my friends and I have had more fun. I was amazed at how accommodating Captain Dan was throughout the trip. He made sure we had the music of our choice playing on the amazing stereo system, a drink in our hands, and a smile on our faces the entire time! I felt as though I had left my regular life behind and entered paradise for a few hours. The accommodations were fabulous. We laid out on the deck, drank in the cabin, anchored to swim, and took in the awesome sights San Diego has to offer. There are so many things I can say about this fabulous adventure, but they would never truly begin to describe the actual experience. I can’t wait for my next escape on the Mai Tai! I give this business my highest recommendation!

Having lived in San Diego for 23 years, my family has pretty much seen all of the great sites here in San Diego over the years visiting me. I was looking for a fun, unique way to entertain them when they came down. Searching for different San Diego adventures, I decided to hire Mai Tai Yacht Charter and Captain Dan to take my family out to enjoy the beautiful bay of San Diego!
Captain Dan was wonderful! He provided a funfilled day for my family! We were able to see the Midway up close and personal, cruise under the Coronado bridge and enjoy swimming in Glorietta Bay.
We had the option to bring our own drinks and lunch or have them provide it. I opted for the catered excursion and it was great. Captain Dan provided a great meal, drinks and music for a day of amazing fun. My family wants to make it a tradition when they come to visit now.
It also is a great «staycation» option for a night or two as it is moored at the Sheraton Harbor Island and you get access to the Sheraton pool, spa and restaurants. An adventure I will be doing very soon., too!

When you are in your 30s, the idea of attending another crazy bachelorette party is something to be dreaded. But, Captain Dan offered up a better solution than a crowded Vegas casino. Mai Tai Yacht Charters was the ideal experience to celebrate Michelle’s pre-​nuptials. The day started with cocktails from the FULLY STOCKED bar aboard this GORGEOUS, WELL DESIGNED vessel which offered FULL AMMENITIES. We added on an all-​inclusive open bar option which was perfectly logical for ten ladies who can really throw them back. After a champagne toast with strawberries, Captain Dan manned the helm and took us around the San Diego bay. We were so close to the USS Midway I wanted to reach out and touch it. After the bay tour, we pulled into a semi-​private cove where we anchored for a few hours. The boat’s bow offers a huge pad to lay on and the top of the boat has so much seating and a huge tanning area. The inside offers more seating, a dining table, a kitchen, and two bedrooms. We fit six gals on the bow with ease. The tunes were blasting and Captain Dan had a playlist for every picky music enthusiast. While dancing in our bikinis, we waved as other boats that cruised by and lapped in the luxurious sunshine feeling somewhat like celebrities on the swanky yacht. Mid way through out trip, Captain Dan pulled out much needed snacks (we pre-​selected a fruit platter, sandwich platter, and cheese platter). This was included in the all-​inclusive «Cocktails and Cravings» package we purchased. At the end of our wonderful day together, the bachelorette complimented the charter as being the best day she has had in years. She said it was a «once in a lifetime experience and will always cherish it». Captain Dan took so many pictures for us and was super accommodating. My drink was never empty and the day was never dull. I would definitely recommend Mai Tai Yacht Charters for a bachelorette party, birthday party, wedding, overnight weekday getaway with a tour of the bay, or just a casual Sunday afternoon with your friends who are visiting. I will DEFINITELY be making this an annual habitual summer experience. THANKS CAPTAIN DAN!
