Margaret Sawires, Psy.D

I know, I know everybody thinks that the Counselor that they are going to is the best, because of the transference, counter transference thing going on. But its hard not give Dr. Sawires an outstanding rating because she does sooo many things well.
1) Intense focus and active listeining.
2) Clearly defined boundaries for the sessions (No suprises)
3) She is very flexible on the times that she can see you although no weekends.
4) She takes Blue Cross Insurance major insurance carrier, and others.
5) Very dedicated to the Therapeutic Process.
6) Doesn’t tell you what to do, (Thats for you to decide) but reflects back to you what you said.
7) And of course she cares.
Now look I’m not going to lie to you and say all you have to do is attend a few sessions and your life is all rainbows and unicorns. But I can say if your interested in resolving your issues in a holistic manner (no drugs), and live a more fruiteful and happier life the Dr. Sawires might be the ticket for you.
Can I honestely say she’s the best Therapist in San Diego, I don’t know. But I can say she is good, and dedicated, and caring, and does the best she can to be as available to as many as people as possible through insurance and sliding scale fees.
As a side note she is Egyptian and speaks fluent Arabic, so if you close your eyes you could imagine yourself talking to Cleopatra without the Asp.
