Martinizing Dry Cleaner

Nice laudry! Big, quick and clean! Possibility to buy a lot of different kind of soup inside! The machines are great! Staff was very friendly and accurate! My clothes were perfect everytime!

I’ve been bring my dry cleaning here for well over 10 years and I have never had any problem. Everyone is always polite and friendly. The store is always clean and my clothes and bedding always look great. They do charge a little bit more, but they are fast and very good. Besides martinizing has been around for over 50 or 60 years and has always had a good reputation.

You better make sure you know how much they are going to charge you, I just got charged almost $ 22 for 4 shirts, I never got charged so much. When I complained the owner came out and told me he did let me know they charge $ 5 a shirt which is not true and I was never informed about that, anyway I ended up paying them cause I need my shirts, I don’t recommend anybody to go there.

This place is special. They’re ridiculously fast, give 100% accurate estimations for completion of your pieces and are ultra nice to boot. I have trusted them twice now in situations where, had they not had the pieces done on time, I’d have been completely sunk for the events I needed the attire for. They haven’t failed me yet and have consistently delivered a spectacular service with a swiftness that has proven to be life-​saving. Though I don’t intend on counting on their last-​minute prowess every single time I drop clothing off there, I am extremely comforted that they possess the ability to help me recover from my incompetent preparation if I need them to.
…and the front desk lady is amazing at her job. She’s always pleasant and truly looks as if she cares quite a bit about making sure you’re happy with the results and the performance.
If you’re anywhere in the vicinity, you’ll not regret choosing this place to handle your vitally important pieces.

They were very nice and had quick turnaround but the overpressed a suit, putting a permanent shine in it. I can’t take the risk again. Sad.

If I could give a negative star I would this place has terrible customer service! !!! I have never been so disappointed. NEVER COME HERE if you want to be treated like a human being… terrible service.

I love the convenience of their hours and they had no problem putting a rush on a dress I needed to pick up the next day. They are a couple doors down from Star Alterations and I tried to drop of a couple items for alterations, but they were closed even though it was past opening time. I went in to Martinizing to ask if there was anywhere else I could go. Instead they were nice enough to take the items from me, with the promise they would drop them off for me as soon as Star was open. They came through for me, I picked up my items and everything was perfect. The staff at Martinizing are always very nice and polite.

Quality, Professional Service that CARES.
I was at «the other» neighborhood place that did nothing but press package and wrap my dirty clothes… (yes, they forgot to wash/​clean them. duh.) My neighbor told me to check out MARTINIZING DRY CLEANING… (it’s their go to place.)
Brie the pretty gal at the counter greeted us and I explained to them what I needed and what had happened to me previously… (I just wanted to make sure they took care of me and I told them they came highly recommended.)
I have to wear casual business attire at work at the very least, so I’d be a regular customer. Brie made mental note of my needs and asked me to come back tomorrow for pick up. Prices were the same as «the other» place, but service and quality were not. (this place rocked!)
When I came back for a pick up… she had my pants cleaned and pressed and even showed me the details for my approval. She said they had problems with one khaki. I pretty much knew which ones… (Flaming Cheetohs are not my friend.) She said that she wanted to show me that they had problems removing the marks on the seat but that she’d try one more method and wanted to discuss. WoW. details. She’s good!
100% white washed was the term I believe she used. It means they’ve gone environmentally friendly, no bad chemicals and thus far their the only ones with a conscience… ME LIKEY!
I wanted to give them 4 woofs, but when she paid attention to details and showed me the quality of service, and their environmentally friendly attitude. I was hooked. I’m told I’ll be put on their V.I.P. list, which means I get 10% off all my cleaning. (I’m sure she says this to all guys, but still, its a good deal and very considerate of them to suggest.)
5 Woofs. As good as it gets. I noticed a placard for the owner who had recently passed. :-(He should be very proud of his daughters… A+
Ps. if your in need of a tailor, there is one 2 doors down… so you won’t have to go elsewhere.

Occasionally (more like frequently) I am either too lazy to clean and press my own clothes or have clothes that require Dry Cleaning only. With that in mind I have no choice but to find a local cleaner who I can trust with my threads. So far this local Martinizing outfit fits the bill.
The pricing is a little more than I pay at another local competitor where dry clean and press costs $ 2.95 there and it costs $ 5.25 here, and press only costs about $ 3.25. The good news is that the turn around time is much quicker, the local competitor takes about 2 – 3 days and these folks usually have it done by next day. So when I need something in a pinch, this is definitely on my short list. So there is a bit of an even trade there.
So far the staff has been friendly and not overly enthusiastic which is good. Considering that this is a 5 min drive from where I live, I can’t complain. It’s also conveniently located next to a tailor which can help you kill two birds with one stone if you are like me and may need something altered while taking something in for cleaning. So that is also a plus.
In conclusion, it’s good to have this option for my dry clean needs.

I brought my three long sleave button up shirts to get cleaned and pressed «professionally» One shirt in particular required hand washing and pressing. it was not hand washed, but mechanically washed and pressed. The button cuff links were left on the shirt (only because the lady at the counter told me not to worry about taking them off) one was completely gone, the other was destroyed, and the automated pressing machine pressed what was left of the other into the shirt leaving a button sized divot. Collar has marks as if the material started to melt. My $ 90 shirt is wrecked. I was told the owner would contact me to resolve my issue, but no one called. I called and left a message, no call back.

Been using this place for 5 years, and even though I moved several miles away a few years ago I still use them because they are the best. I was sorry to hear of Bob’s passing when I went in to pick up clothing a few months ago. He was a nice man who always had a smile on his face and offered my kids a sucker when we would go in (making it their favorite errand of the week).

Just an update. Bob lost his battle with cancer this past December. His smile and wonderful attitude is truly missed. I will continue to support OHM. Bob hired excellent staff upon whom I can always depend to do an excellent job with my dress shirts and dry cleaning.
I consider it an honor to have known Bob.

Martinizing USED to be a reliable place for dry cleaning. Unfortunately, not so any more. The quality has DROPPED to a very large extent. The laundry faded the colors in a men’s shirt that I had ENTRUSTED to them. Items are placed carelessly on hangers after they have dry cleaned. The WORST thing that occurred was that a knit top that I had dry cleaned SHRUNK!!! How is that possible?! Maybe, they WASHED it! I ENTRUSTED this top to them because the directions said to DRY CLEAN it ONLY. So, they SHRUNK it!!! Also, they are NOT standing behind their work to replace it. Each person just passed the buck. The owners were not willing to do the right thing. Please don’t go to this dry cleaners. They will take you to the cleaners!

Friendly, courteous and honest staff with great customer service! I’ve been using their service for several years now and most recently returned from a trip where I had a lot of items. Unfortunately, I did not check my stuff very well before sending them in for cleaning. After picking up my items, to my surprise, there was a bag with my clothes that contained a decent amount of cash and other belongings that I left in my suit. Thank you for being honest, professional and providing great service! It is very rare these days.

they gave my sister a proper refund in exchange for the rug. i don’t know what they want with a dirty, ruined sheepskin rug but that’s their business.

Spendy and not accurate. I dropped off one shirt, one pair of trousers, and a set of camis to be cleaned and pressed. While I was dropping everything off I asked if they could clean/​press my cover. The lady told me that wouldn’t be a problem. The next day I picked up and my cover was not pressed my shirt wasn’t pressed to my satisfaction and my camis were not pressed nearly enough. I wouldn’t have minded the price had they done a good job but 20 bucks for half quality seemed steep to me. I will be sure to find a better cleaner in the La Mesa area.

This place is right next to my amazing tailor (Star Tailoring) so I thought I would give it a try. Good dry cleaner — next day pick up. I stopped going to my old cleaners when my clothes were coming back with a really funky smell — no bad smell here! I gave it 4 stars because of the higher prices but they do have coupons that come in the mail ValPak.
