Been going to Dr. Dobry for about 8 years for skin, moles and skin tags. Not to mention the weird cyst on my scalp which she took care of. She is very down to earth and does a awesome job on all issues. She does not push anything that is not needed on you. I also love her staff very caring and they always get me in too see her in a timely matter. Great prices and give lots of samples. She is the best around so I certainly would not be complaining if I had to wait a bit after my appointment time too see her!!! Also love her RN Jen!!!

My asian skin scars easily. I went to Dr. Dobry about 8 years ago when I had a very dark scar on my face that wouldn’t go away. She cleared it right up. Recently, I have developed lots of dark scars and even scar tissue on my face. I immediately scheduled an appointment with Dr. Dobry, remembering how she helped my skin before. I thought my appointment was for Thursday but it turned out it was for Tuesday of that week. The receptionist was so understanding as she said the Doctor will try to squeeze me in, even with their very full schedule! I have a very busy life and I don’t ever have a lot of down time, but she is worth the wait! I would have gladly waited over an hour!!! I didn’t have to, she saw me after 40 minutes. Even with her packed schedule, when she came to see me, she wasn’t rushed and she really addressed all my issues and we even chatted a little about my business and family. As a business owner, I really appreciate her taking the time to really focus on my concerns and needs. Her assistants were doing a great job by trying to keep her on schedule, which I can appreciate, that is their job! The fact that she is so concern with giving such great personal attention to her patients speaks volumes! I live over 40 minutes away and there are plenty of dermatologists closer, but I wouldn’t trust my face to anyone else! She is very kind and obviously extremely skilled at what she does! You don’t want an empty office, her office is packed because she is that good! Good things come to those who wait! Patience seems to be a dying art. If you want the best with someone who really cares, she really is worth the wait!

I’m appalled by the negative comments listed for Dr. Dobry. They are unreasonable.
Today’s society has become too screwed towards «getting everything immediately.»
The question is: Would you trust a physician who rushes through visits and overbooks patients simply for profit, or would you confide in a physician who spends time and gets to know you/​your concerns during your visits? Of the physicians I have seen, Dr. Dobry does the best job at getting to know you, putting you at ease, and actually treating your problems!
Dr. Dobry may take 30 minutes, but this is common among good physicians today. Personally, all the physicians I see have a wait time of 60+ minutes, and they do a darn good job when I see them. The «speedy physicians» I have previously encountered have ignored some of my concerns, only looked at their computers when they «talk» to me, and overall have little consideration for me.
Secondly, on the comment of Dr. Dobry being overbooked — it is because she is, again, very good at what she does. Patients are eager to see her. Why go to a poor dermatologist simply because he/​she is speedy — that makes no sense.
I have looked through most of the comments on this website, and they are just silly. Quality in a physician centers so many elements, and Dr. Dobry possesses the qualities of an excellent physician.

Hey, what happens at the dermatologist’s office STAYS at the dermatologist’s office. That’s my moto… But, heck. Because I love my fellow Unilocalers, I feel moved to break this golden rule and share this gem of a business — I’m THAT impressed!
Doctor Dobry is gentle, kind, patient and caring. Her Physician’s assistant, Darcy Duffin is just as pleasant, helpful and accommodating.
The office is clean and organized and is located in a really good location that’s easy to find.
BONUS: They have a parking garage if you don’t find any spots in the lot.
I really appreciate that both the doctor and her assistant are generous with samples. (Yay!) Neither of them try to sell you products or procedures you don’t need.
The office staff is also very friendly, knowledgeable and wiling to help in any way they can. I’m so happy I found this place and that I live close by!

I had my 1^st appointment a week ago with Dr. Mary Dobry.
Parking was easy. Close to Starbucks is a plus! The waiting area was cozy and very comfortable.
The office staff were quite courteous and professional.
I had to wait just a little past my appointment time, but it wasn’t unreasonable. I have had to wait much longer… many times… at other Drs. offices.
Dr Dobry was great. She listened to what I wanted and my concerns about the possible outcome. I have had some negative experiences before, with having some procedures done.
She was quick and efficient and my result was perfect! Extremely happy with my «revived“look! She did exactly what I wanted her to do.
I am in the Medical profession so I am quite selective regarding my medical care.
I will definitely go back to Dr. Dobry. I may even try some new things that she mentioned to me.

I have been going to dermatologist for 15 years. She is the most knowledgeable I have experienced. Extremely patient and seems to spend more time than I’m used to. The staff appears to be up to date on the latest laser technology and very friendly. I read an earlier ranting review that sounds a little kooky… no idea what he or she is on…

Never again will I entrust a doctor ever again in my life after having such a horrible experience with this inhumane and completely uncaring doctor with no compassion for her patients. This crazy woman of a doctor left me scarred from my face after going in for a TCA cross treatment turning a couple of ice pick scars that were less than a millimeter in size and in which that I went in to treat to two huge crater scars the size of an inch on both sides of my face and after suffering so much anxiety and severe depression because of it she ends up calling the cops on me and kicks me outta her office without ever even giving me a chance to speak with her with her acknowledging the fact that I had driven over 100 miles from orange county just to go see her to simply get my money back due to the damages just has now left me with due to some very obvious and clear malpractice. But justice will be served as I’m now in the process of litigating and getting this doctor sued and hopefully removed from the board of dermatology as I would hate for this horrifying experience to happen to any other human being especially one being as young as me with so much more life to live and aspirations to reach. Cause believe me life is hard enough as it is now only imagine trying to reach those dreams & goals of yours when your confidence and self esteem has been shattered due to the mistakes of such a despicable and fowl doctor. But may God walk with me as I fight for the justice I deserve as I keep faith that justice will be served and this doctor will be banned from ever laying a hand on any other patients.

I have also been a patient for almost 20 years– I wouldn’t waste my time, money or health going to anyone else. The wait time has never been an issue– I find it relaxing to sit in the waiting room reading magazines and not having to answer calls, emails and texts. Dr. D had also referred me to an eye surgeon many years ago– who was excellent. I appreciate her honestly and her skill. Unfortunately– I have been so busy– I can’t get over to her office for an appointment. Hopefully soon! Side note– my 16 year old son had acne and what I thought looked like scarring– they cleared him right up with a couple of simple procedures and we are both super pleased. Look no further– if you have to wait to get in to see her– it is worth it– she is busy because she is the best! Nicole Ragan

I have been seeing Dr. Dobry for over a decade and could not recommend her any more enthusiastically. She is well suited to treat a wide array of medical issues and has a very kind heart. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Dobry rocks and her new location has plenty of free parking in a brand new office medical suite.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Dobry for almost 20 years as a cash patient-​her prices are very reasonable and she is well worth any wait. You may have to wait a bit, but thats old school. When I was a kid, you’d always wait about 15 – 20 minutes for the doctor to arrive. Thats a sign of two things: a thriving practice and a doctor who does not rush once she is with you. This was totally NORMAL years ago but probably seems like an eternity to internet age people who think that everything must and should occur instantly.
If you’ve abused your skin for years but need it to be fixed instantly, try a dermatologist or plastic surgeon in Tijuana. I’m sure they will burn your face off in a timely manner, just in time for you to horrify the lunch diners at the Top of the Cove.
Or if you want it done right, sit your ass down and wait for the best.

Although Dr. Dobry is very good at what she does, the average wait time has steadily increased in the 13 years I have been coming to her. As I write this, I have been in the waiting room for an hour. The reception clerk just told me it will just be a bit longer.
Be aware that your average wait time is likely to be in excess of 30 minutes. After coming for more than a decade, this will be my final appointment here.
2.5 stars. Complete indifference to being timely. They are simply overbooked.
Having said that, I do want to reiterate that Dr. Dobry does have a genuinely caring attitude, and will make you feel cared for when she is in the treatment room with you.

Called to make an appointment because a friend of mine goes to this Dermatologist and the attitude of the receptionist was appalling. Her customer service skills are non existent and she talks to customers as if she is owed something. I will not be going to this office ever. Unilocalers Beware!

Like other Unilocalers, I’ve been going to Dr. Dobry for many years. I’ve never had to wait more than 15 – 20 minutes; usually it’s far less than that. Dr. Dobry is an excellent doctor who has helped me maintain good health. She listens carefully and offers sound advice. Her procedures are excellent and she doesn’t try to «upsell» products.

I’ve gone to Dr. Dobry for years, as have many of my friends, and the only time there was a time management problem was when all the electricity in the area went off because of an accident. She’s always been very informative as to what procedures would be the most beneficial and I have found my treatments to be pain free and very effective. I like that she will not do a drastic change with those over-​puffed cheeks and the big lips which basically make you look ridiculous. She never pushes a procedure, just gives you the pros and cons and lets you decide. The fact that she has so many clients speaks for itself.

Poor time management. I can’t say how good she is because I had to leave before my appointment. After waiting 30 minutes, and the woman ahead of saying she was already an hour past her appointment, I asked the front desk how much longer to be seen. They said it would be another 20 minutes (standard answer), which is impossible since they were already behind by more than an hour. I then asked the front desk if it was common for Dr. Dobry to run an hour behind, and they said yes. I had to leave to get back to work, and will be going somewhere else.

She’s excellent. that’s why she’s swamped, but always tries to stay on schedule, while accommodating patients with extra procedures that pop up. Vey considerate and caring about her patients! I’ve gone to her for 20 years! She is the best!

I wish I had experienced the same thing as the other reviewers. Unfortunately, I never even got to see the doctor. I waited in the waiting room for a half hour before I asked the receptionist if I needed to reschedule due to the extended delay. I was told the doctor was in a procedure and would be another half hour. When I went to reschedule, no apology was made and I was asked to come back in 6 weeks; not even an expedited appointment for the hassle. So a 1 hour wait seems to be customary as it didn’t phase the receptionist, the nurse or the doctor. Needless to say, I did not reschedule and I will be looking for another dermatologist… any suggestions?

Dr. Dobry has won so many local «best doctor» awards, I won’t list them all here.
I am very happy with how my skin looks under her care. I am delighted to find a dermo who does skin cancer care with a concern for aesthetic outcome.
She doesn’t try to sell you magic potions, but is thoughtful about what prescriptions will work for your skin type. Her staff are very friendly.
Minus 1 star for the long wait at each appointment.
