I was an active duty Marine facing trumped up charges in an attempted murder case. Mr. Messina provided very little help in my criminal case. He would always smile and shake my hand when I saw him in person but had very little if anything at all to actually say. He never contacted me regarding my case directly, and only e-​mailed my military attorney. Messina did contact me regarding wanting more money and I ended up taking him off of my case, losing the $ 10,000 retainer fee. Mind you, he didn’t tell me anything about wanting more money until about two months in, leaving that part of the contract blank at the time that we signed it. He then later wrote up e-​mails claiming that it was fully filled out at the time of signing. This guy will gladly take your money and have as little as possible to do with you, charging hundreds for reading e-​mails that consist of only a few lines as per his itemized bill. Who would ever need half an hour to read an e-​mail? I’m sure it is a convenient way for him to bill his clients in blocks of time while stuffing his face. I ended up getting another attorney who won my case.
This is in no way a malicious review, it is purely factual. More people need to share their negative experiences so that we the people can get a proper defense by word of mouth if necessary.
