Milestone Running Shoe Store

Loved it! Went today for a new pair of shoes. They were super friendly and helpful. I didn’t feel like I was trying to be sold on extras. Its got a really cool local vibe and you can the employees are genuinely passionate about what they do. I found a pair I loved, but wanted a different color. They were happy to order them and I’ll pick them up this week. Highly recommend.

Came in, was greeted and assisted, told them I needed running shoes to suit my needs, boom. The guy brought out 4 pairs of shoes and I tried 2 on the treadmill. 20 min later I left with my new running shoes. This place is a legit shop and they have a lot of advice and guidance. Highly recommended if you’re looking for solid running shoes.

Great store, friendly and knowledgeable staff and an awesome selection of shoes and apparel. Excited to try my new pair of Brooks and will hopefully be able to join their running group one of these Wednesdays.

I needed a new pair of running shoes. I was going to buy some on
, but my girlfriend is in a running club and suggested I go to Milestone. I’m glad I did. Julie analyzed my gait by watching me run on a treadmill and on the sidewalk. She also asked me about what I’d be doing in the shoes, because shoes that are great for running on a treadmill at the gym might not be great for running through Balboa Park.
Julie had me run in my old New Balance 991s, then had me try on four different pairs. So now I had some choices. But the one that fit best was cheaper online. And I didn’t want it in black. I wasn’t going to have Julie do all the work and then buy the shoes online, was I? But I didn’t want to spend more money than I had to on shoes. But here’s the thing — Milestone price matches. And they’ll order different colors or sizes if they’re not in stock. So I got shoes that fit me, will keep me from falling over on the treadmill, look good, and are at the best price. Plus, I get to support a local business. Milestone Running is the perfect shoe store for «serious» and «seriously, I need to start going to the gym» runners.

I wanted to start running and needed my first pair of good running shoes. I told the guy that I was a total newbie and I wasn’t sure which shoe I wanted/​needed and he brought out 6 pairs for me to try on and compare. I picked out an awesome pair and left the store with a big smile on my face. Unfortunately, after the very first time I ran in them, I developed a blister on my left foot. I changed up my socks and laces and ran a few more times, hoping it was just a fluke but the blister was just getting rubbed raw each time. I remembered the guy said I could bring them back within 30 days if there were any problems, so that’s what I did. He didn’t make any stink about it and gave me a couple other pairs to test out. I found another pair that felt great and he let me exchange them, as they were the same price. I’ve used those now a few times with no issues.
I will definitely continue to shop here and will recommend to anyone. Great service, helpful advice, and decent selection.

These guys are awesome. I moved to Colorado a year ago. Took me a while to get on here and review them. I didnt know they did gait analysis. Now that i do you cant beat the small store hospitality with the big class knowledge. I used to frequent there running group. Ive been known to have won a couple watermelons in my time at their after party raffel. I would also see the owners at other running groups. They are friendly and most importantly seasoned fast knowledgeable runners. I have bought 2 pairs of shoes and a foam roller from them all at great prices.

This is the ONLY store you should shop at for ALL of your running needs! The customer service is the best and I can’t imagine shopping anywhere else! Shoes, clothes, accessories and nutrition all in one place! Whether you’re running a block or 200 miles, they can help! Best running store EVER!

I came in here with my toddler and needed to quickly buy a pair of shoes to replace my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 14s. I explained that I read some unfavorable reviews about the new model of the shoe and that I was looking to try on a few of other brands. The gentleman who helped me was really attentive and listened to me explain what I needed and my gait issues and quickly brought out 6 styles for me to try on. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, and that is SUCH a blessing when you have a little one. My only complaint is that the place smells like a barn (I know its odd, maybe its because of the dog ?) That wouldn’t deter me from coming back though! Thanks again Unilocal,I wouldn’t have learned about this great shop if it weren’t for the reviews I came across here.

Went here today to get some Hoka One One shoes and the service was beyond superb! Not only did they talk to me about what i wanted but the measured my feet and observed my gait! Thank you!

This place is the best shop for runners! It’s local, independent, has a great selection, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and are all runners. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Who doesn’t enjoy being greeted by the cutest Boston Terrier when u walk in the door? Love a dog friendly store. Great selection on running gear, friendly helpful non-​intimidating (you don’t get the «you don’t belong here do u really run» looks) staff work here. They offer donation based yoga at the park on Sunday’s. How cool is that for a day u want to rest but still feel like you’ve done something wonderful for your body and soul?! Run club at 1800 every Wednesday is the best! The staff is very knowledgeable and they have a great sense of humor. I am no longer Road Runner Sports customer — at Milestone I am treated like a person and not a dollar sign!

Great customer service. Chad was really kind and patient with my 70 year old mother. Not just for expert runners. Treated us great!

Since I started my new job and taken up more physical exercise, I started experiencing really bad shin pain. After a trip to the doctor, I was told that I have shin splints and I need to get a better pair of shoes. My doctor said «Do not go to somewhere like a department store or Footlocker or any place like that. They are purely in it to sell the most expensive shoes. Go to an actual running store, get a gait analysis, and buy the shoes that are correct for your feet.» Thankfully, Milestone Running is very close to my house and they fit the exact criteria that my doctor told me to look for.
I was a little nervous going in because I had never been inside a running store before and I’m pretty new to taking intense, regular walks. I want to say that I’ve been at it for about six months or so, but it’s been really on-​and-​off since I got shin splints. The guy at the front counter was very friendly and helpful. We were able to have a pretty comprehensive conversation about my individual needs and not once did I feel as though he was trying to push any particular product onto me or make me feel bad because of my lack of knowledge.
Once my gait was analyzed, he described what type of shoe I should look for and selected six different pairs to chose from, all varying in price and style. He urged me to select the pair that I found the most comfortable and even let me take the shoes for a spin on the treadmill. I walked away from the place with a very nice pair of Brooks running shoes. The shoes are already making a difference in my exercise routine and at my job. I will definitely be back once it’s time for a new pair and I have absolutely no qualms recommending this place to my friends.

I’m so impressed with this place!!! I’m not a huge runner. But do exercises of all kind. Chad measured my feet (I felt like a kid… Back in the days of Stride Rite when they’d measure your feet with the metal bracket!!) Chad is very knowledgeable and assisted me in getting the perfect shoe for my cross-​training type workouts.
I highly suggest to come in the morning/​or lunch when its not too busy. I was lucky. I had Chad all to myself! Another customer came in while I was getting fitted and Chad did a great job being attentive to both of us. I definitely will be coming back in the future. Reasonable price on shoes as well. Added bonus… China, Chads dog, greets you. So damn cute!!!

Very friendly, Greg was great at helping me choose a new pair of running shoes. I didn’t know too much about selecting shoes myself but I felt comfortable asking questions here. They offer gait analysis and did a wonderful job fitting me with a number of options so I could choose the most comfortable pair to fit my needs. Was able try them outside and run around the block to test them out as well instead of just running on the tredmill, which is nice.
Ended up with the Brooks Launch 2, looking forward to putting some miles on them!

I had a pretty good experience buying my shoes here at Milestone. It was a random Thursday afternoon, and one person was working behind the counter. Greg was very knowledgeable on Newtons and especially with the Hokas, and that I decided to buy my first Hokas.
They have a treadmill where they analyze your running and give you the appropriate types of shoes based on your running habits to prevent or minimize any injuries.
They also sponsor Wednesday night fun runs and other random runs, so just meet up and run with other people. Compared to Road Runner, these guys are personable and it’s all about running and not just about business.

After trying to up my running game, I found I was getting tons of really painful (one of then got so big I named it Billy the Blister) on both of my feet. After a quick search, I found these guys and I am so glad I stopped in! I showed them my current running shoes and socks and quickly I formed me that they knew exactly why I was in so much pain!
They busted out their measuring devices, got some better socks and shoes on my feet, and got me on the treadmill to film and study my gait. After watching, they gave me 6 different shoes that matched my size and gait and allowed me to test them all out!
I found my perfect pair (even picking out the ones on sale, lucky me!) and with my savings, I was able to bug a bunch of better socks. I can’t wait to get these babies on the road and up my run game.

Unilocaled out a running shoe store and this came up. This seems like a fairly small operation compared to the likes of the other running shoe stores in town but they had a pretty decent selection of running shoe gear, accessories, and nutrition here. It’s all side street parking here so it can be tricky depending what time of the day you go. The service associate working was very attentive and asked us if we needed assistance. I didn’t look specifically for any running gear in particular but it seemed like they had the major brand names (Newton, New Balance, Asics, etc).
