These guys are good! Doug fixed my network problem in 10 minutes — made my day to be able to get back on the internet! Highly recommended.

I finally found a new honest computer repair shop! They did an excellent job on transferring my old data from my dead computer to my new one. I could not get the old one to even come alive and they were able to save all my data. Thank you Mobile Computer Wizard!

I have nothing but great things to say about Mobile Computer Wizard. I am not the most computer savvy person but i know a virus when it happens. My computer was getting worse and worse due to negligence and its age. Surfing the internet one day and this pop up appeared. «Attn Cox user, your computer is at risk, call the number on the screen immediately». Me not knowing any better, called… Spoke with some guy, obviously of indian descent, told me his name was James Morrison, they took control of the computer, showed me what was wrong and all the viruses that were on the computer. Told me they could clear it up and have my computer working at great speed. Told me an outrageous amount of $ 299 or something like that. Not only did the operator name sound bogus but they were pressuring me to buy their services. It just sounded to fishy, i declined their services (probably 5 or 6 times, saying that i am not interested) and they restored control to me for my laptop.
decided to check out Unilocal and see if their was some kinda local computer tech. Came across San Diego Pc 1^st, called the guy. He was busy at the moment, said he would call me back, never did. Decided to try another spot. Saw Mobile computer wizard, seen that it was rated 5 stars, read the reviews sounded great, gave them a call.
Matt came over to my house within 2 hours, worked on it for about 1hr and a half, got rid of most of the virus, cleaned up my computer. But apparently there was something still on the computer that didnt seem right. This was on a thursday evening, told me there was a possibility they might have to keep it till Monday, I was fine with it, i just wanted the viruses gone and all my pictures and documents saved. Monday comes along, my computer is all good, works at phenomenal speed, all pictures and documents still there. i was expecting an outrageous fee for their services but i only paid $ 138, (you cannot beat that)… Matt told me all what to look out for (was super informative, broke everything down so i could understand it), changed several settings to increase the performance and better protection against viruses. These guys know what they are doing, professional, outstanding customer service, i felt like they were family in a sense. I highly recommend mobile Computer wizard… The reviews speak for themselves. And this is the 1^st time ever I have ever spoke this highly about a business. If you have got yourself virus or anything that needs to be done with your computer at all, call Mobil Computer Wizard.

Fantastic service. Doug came out an solved our networking issues (which other «experts» couldn’t manage), answered my questions. Obviously knew what he was doing, dug into computer settings I didn’t even know existed which solved major issues, and knew how to get around/​deal with components that appeared to not want to work together.
He set up a part hardline Ethernet, part wireless network and convinced 1 computer, 3 laptops, 4 ipads, a printer and 3 mobile phones to all communicate. Returned a wireless network device (very expensive, utterly useless that I «had» to purchase per a previous «expert») per Doug’s advice and replaced it with a wireless access port that WORKED, for much less $.
7 weeks later everything is still working, even after multiple reboots and one shutdown of whole house power.
THIS is what Tech support is supposed to look like. Absolutely calling them back if I ever have another issue.

Debra from Mobile was just hear to connect my printer to my computer. I bought a new Router/​Modem combined, but could not get my wireless printer to work again. She did a great job. Deb came out to the condo to work on a particularly nasty virus that hit right after installing Win10. She was prompt and arrived as scheduled, and professionally went about diagnosing the problem. When the «typical» solutions didn’t eliminate the virus she dug in to find a solution that would get rid of it while preserving the rest of my data. Finally, but within a reasonable time, she killed the virus. A big relief. She also re-​configured my printers to work more efficiently. In each case, she tested and re-​tested to be sure the solution stuck. We worked on Edge a bit, and are finding it to be unwieldy, with sites not yet updated to be supported by it well. Maybe that’s what we get by being an early adopter but it would be best for folks to hold off a bit before moving to it.
Overall, I was very pleased with the quality, tone and efficiency of the service from MCW and recommend them most highly.

I had made a dum dum software error on my old desktop, and I couldn’t recover anything because I’m sort of a technophobe. I literally am one of those people who thinks that if I press the wrong key the machine will explode and burn down the house.
It wasn’t hard for the techncian to find. But while he was at it, he did several other great upgrades for me. His name was Josiah. Very impressive young man, got right at things, and very pleasant.
The entire thing was terrific, and immediately the computer began to work much better than you’d think it would, if you knew that it’s fifteen years old and something sort of rebuilt…

This will now be my go to shop for computer repair! Greg is very pleasant and helpful and had us back up and running in a very timely manner. Great customer service, I highly recommend.

First encounter with the mobile service. Doug came out to my home office, on time, friendly and courteous. Very understanding of a tech dinosaur like myself — saw what my myriad problems were and solved them within an hour. Very grateful for his teams’ speed and expertise. He even found drivers for my outdated Wacom Cintiq monitor and got me up and running again. I will definitely be visiting their shop location when I need upgrades!

Two weeks ago I left my MacBook Pro with Greg to examine components that were pronounced dead by a highly rated repair shop that I went to before going to Mobile Wizard. At that shop I was told they required replacement and would cost several hundred dollars.
In a couple days Greg called to tell me that they he had run several diagnostic tests, inspected and tested the «suspected» components and found that everything was working perfectly. I would guess it is rare for a shop to say «there is nothing here to fix».
If this wasn’t pleasant enough you can add Greg’s cheerful, upbeat attitude. Not a smidgen of «snotty computer boy superiority» that has become de rigueur. I’ll be back here for sure. Thanks Greg.

I was given a couple of discounts, including $ 10 for writing this Unilocal review. So far, so good with the computer work; I will definitely recommend this business to friends.

Any day, I don’t have to open my laptop is a good day. Any day I open my laptop and there’s problem is a bad day, and night. In the years since 500 AD, I’ve only had to have a desktop in for repair once. I lived in another state. So where was I to go? Who could I trust? Who is going to get my computer back in a timely manner? Mobile Computing Wizard, thats who. I found this business on Unilocal,and was scared at the way too many good reviews. I had a good feeling that all those reviews must mean something good. I brought my computer in, and they had it back to me when they said they would. They fixed it, and no extra charges. I was so happy and impressed by their professionalism and reasonable fees. You guys are awesome.

Our main work computer got some kind of virus that was bringing up a ton of adds and what not.
I called on a Monday morning and they were able to have someone come out same day!
Josiah was prompt on timing and got right to work. He was fast and offered alot of tips and suggestions along the way. He got the computer restored to its original state without loosing any of our information, and all under 2 hrs! The pricing is fair. He also installed a remote access tool so if we ever need there assistance again they can simply remote into the computer. We will def be using them again!

My husband and I have used Kurt and his team for many years to help us techno-​dinosaurs keep our equipment from blowing up. He comes to the house and does maintenance, helps us install stuff and tries to teach us something new to keep out of trouble (like defragging… who knew?). We recommend MCW to everyone we know who has computer issues and don’t happen to have a son handy to be our personal IT guy. I even call Kurt and his team now for my daughter’s hair salon when they have computer issues. They are great, reasonably priceds and reliable. I’m happy to give them 5 stars… and no I’m not their mom, just a satisfied customer!

Just a quick shout out to Josiah who spent about 3 hours today setting up two new computers for my husband and I. He wasn’t able to complete all the work while here so he called us after the end of his day and finished loading out outlook calendars, contacts and mail and syncing up our two iphones and ipads so now everything works great! Thanks for all the hard work and the late hours! You rock!

Customer Service? YES! Some of the best that I have ever had, actually!
I took an old, dead laptop in to see if there was hope. It turns out there wasn’t, but Greg went out of his way to help anyway. I was running an old program on XP, it would not run on Windows 7. What I didn’t know was it would run on Windows 7 32 bit, which allows me to buy another computer and still have this program that is quite valuable to me. The diagnosis charge was very modest compared to the benefit I have received. I have been to other computer repair places in Kearny Mesa, but this is the one I would return to!

Eric was fantastic. I had many problems on two of my computers. He was so patient and answered all of our questions. He helped us decide on better anti virus software. My sons computer needed a lot of cleaning up. We thought it was helpless and needed to replace it completely. Eric saved the day. My son is a gamer and that in itself brings havoc on any computer. All of our issues were fixed. I called when they opened at 9am and Eric came out at 1230pm the same day. Can’t say enough of what a great experience I had. Will for sure use their services for all of my computer repair. Thank you.
