History

Established in 1986.

The practice was started by Gunnar Mossberg in 1986, and has become established as one of the premier orthopedic manual therapy clinics in San Diego and Southern California, which has become well known by the medical community, and trusted to treat complex conditions. Over the years, a number of highly respected manual therapists have been trained under Dr Mossberg. The latest research and scientific findings are incorporated into the treatments, to keep the rehabilitation cutting edge.

Dr. Mossberg got his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy in 1980 from Florida International University, Miami, FL; master’s degree in orthopedic manual therapy in 1991 from the Ola Grimsby Institute, San Diego, CA; and doctoral degree in physical therapy in 2000 from the Ola Grimsby Institute, San Diego, CA. He also completed the highest level of training in orthopedic manual therapy through the Ola Grimsby Institute residency/​fellowship program in 1992. He finished his educational programs at the top of his classes at Florida International University and the Ola Grimsby Institute. Dr. Mossberg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). He is a past faculty instructor at the Ola Grimsby Institute, he has been published in professional Journals, he has been an invited speaker to numerous professional groups, and he has been a regular writer for the San Diego Union-​Tribune. Dr Mossberg holds a physical therapy license in the USA and Sweden.
