Right to the point and beautiful, but the owners attitude was so unnecessary, I had a blue glitter on my nails and decided I wanted a color change to nude instead to better compliment my skin tone and she started shouting and yelling to her husband and throwing my hands around after she finished a coat of color. She was very disrespectful. It was sad because for such a beautiful job her persona makes you feel unwanted and foul

An out of towner staying at the Mariott on the Harbor. Just wanted a simple place without all the posh, costly things. This is a nice Mom and Pop owned shop close to the hotel. The s chairs soothed my flight worn body, the technician made the experience a good one with warm water, a great foot and leg massage and a great pedicure. Nothing fance, value priced and a great place. When I return I will seek this place out again.

I only go here to get a pedicure and they do the best job for under 20 I always come back for my toes

I have to agree with other reviewers. You get LESS than what you pay for here. These ladies clearly don’t put forth enough effort for any sort of tip from me. The salon is a little dirty and old and the manicurist just DGAF. Try somewhere else and save your money.

It was exactly what I expected: A cheap but efficient no frills mani-​pedi. Did the employees speak english? Not really. Were they polite? No, not really. Did they do a good and fast job on the manipedi? Yes! The whole procedure took 30 Minutes, I was a walk-​in late in the evening and still had two women working on hands and feet simulatiosly. They had a good selection of OPI colours and they both did a clean application. All for 22 Dollars. Not a luxury treatment, but what I was looking for for a more than reasonable price. I would certainly go again.

They painted over my cuticles and missed parts of my nail. It looked sloppy. Yuck. And I kept asking them to round the edges of my toenails and they didn’t. And they yelled at each other repeatedly. It wasn’t just conversational yelling. Unpleasant vibe.

I had a bad experience with the gel manicure. They use low quality products, they did not put a base on my nails before the gel and after only 5 days the layer of gel came off… I went there to ask them to repair it and they have been rude, they did not apologize and they assumed I took off the gel on purpose… Result? I went home without my manicure, complete waste of money…

My my nails is my go to place. It’s close to home and My does my gel fill perfect every time. I always get a cut down and she only charges me $ 25
They have a very good selection of gel colors and I’m constantly getting compliments on my nails.
I definitely recommend this nail salon to all of my friends so if you’re in the area give them a try

I’m extremely confused about the ratings for this place. Worst gel manicure I have ever received. You get what you pay for I guess. It was only $ 18, so I guess I shouldn’t have expected good things. Super disappointed :(. I think I might just have to cover the mani in glitter polish to cover up the horrible unevenness and polish all over my cuticles. Sucky.

I love the way my nails however, it is my BIGGEST PEEVE when nail places nickel and dime you for everything. I had 2 broken nails which she charged $ 3 each to fix. Then she asked if I wanted my nail shorter? Of course I do they are grown out, nails grow that is why I have to get them redone but apparently that is $ 2 extra as well… Very annoying to me. Set your price and make it include shortening the nails then you won’t piss people off.

The person below who said they have been paying for mani pedis for their 3 year old since she was one makes me super depressed. It is ridiculous to treat s 3 year old like a grown woman and get her used to feeling entitled and demanding of service in that way. I feel sorry for the nail technician who had to deal with this sad situation

I have no complaints. My my nails is the place to go if you’re in bankers hill. She did an awesome job on my nails not just once but three times now and i would recommend this place to all.

You would like they have never seen a three year old before. My daughter has been getting mani/​pedis since she has been one. The older gentleman was nice and she was happy to sit still and chat with him.
The older lady was gruff with her and actually put hands on her, restraining her after screaming at her. Uhhh, no wonder she didn’t want to sit still.
Horrible customer service!

??? — that in itself deserves five-​stars. I gave it three because my manicure was mediocre! I sad. I wish I could give it four — but it really was so-​so. I definitely will go back though — I just can’t help but support a nail salon that takes plastic.

I had high hopes for this place as it is just down the street for me. When walking in was greeted nicely enough, provided a very small selection of gel color samples and directed to a manicure station.
The older gentleman started removing my gel polish– had me soak my whole hand in acetone… So terrible for the skin :(he was struggling to remove the gel so I had to soak both hands twice.
Once my nails were cleaned and shaped he switched with the older woman and she took over the color. No UV protection lotion applied, No base coat, just 2 coats of the thin color and 1 top coat. You can see through the polish and there are areas more transparent than others, giving a very uneven look– could have at least 2 more coats for a consistent color. I am anticipating chips/​peeking within a day or 2.
No hand lotion for my acetone soaked hands or hand massage.
I understand the prices are lower than other places nearby but I would gladly pay more if they provided a more premium service. The place was dead quiet with no chit-​chat even after I tried to initiate conversation.
I usually go to Beauty Lounge and will continue to do so.

My nails and toes are pretty much perfect. No complaints. The place is small and the décor is a bit old nothing too fancy. Only reason I give 4 stars is because they didn’t have much selection. But I’m not too picky. I’d go here again.

I took my wife here for her birthday. It was her first visit to this business. Overall, she walked away happy and refreshed. It was a good experience.
When you consider I paid $ 33.00 (incl. tip) for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure this was an excellent value in San Diego. Normally, gel manicures alone cost $ 28-​$ 35 without a tip. Again, great value and experience for my wife and me.
Give them some business.

I tried this place out, close & convenient, had good reviews on Unilocal,and I must say that this is the first time, I was disappointed by a place I found on Unilocal.
The place is clean, employees seem attentive and seem to take their time, as the lady did seem to be careful & cautious not to ruin my nails under the gel– that is very much appreciated. However, the gel peeled off of my nails the same day. Of course this happened at 4pm, my nails were done around 11am, I didn’t have enough time to run back there & have them redo my gel and to my bad luck, they’re closed on Sundays. No chance of going back tomorrow – unfortunately, I’ll have to go somewhere else to get these fixed, and pay AGAIN since I wanted these redone for an event.
I will go back there Monday & tell them, I’ll base my final decision about this place based on their response. Any business with a good ethic will offer a replacement at no cost, I think that’s fair. Will update my review on Monday.

You just have to try it! It was my second time today and I decided to try gel for my first time. Compared to other places, it’s only $ 16. I think it’s perfect. If you want to complain about lack of colors then bring your own. Mai is the owner and she is super nice and tries her best to please her customers. Her husband gives a really nice pedicure, especially since my boyfriend and I both enjoy it. The other ladies are nice too, and they try to talk to you to keep you comfortable. If lack of communication is an issue, bring pictures to show what you want and they will do what they can to make you happy. I drive from Mira Mesa to there because it’s worth it!

I stopped by this salon in my lunch break. They were able to take me right away. The staff was very courteous and friendly, doing whatever they could to ensure I was relaxed and comfortable the entire visit. I got a pedicure and the woman did a great job. The massage portion was amazing and very relaxing. The prices at this salon can’t be beat for the quality as well. Great prices! I highly recommend My My Nails
