When you register for Tricare Pediatrics stay away from this place and Dr. Aimee Cason. You will be very disappointed! Its just an assembly line job for her and she tries to get you in and out as quickly as possible with little care or regard. If this is the only place offered when you call to change PCM or for your initial sign up for a newborn, tell them you will wait and call back later when another location opens up or everything is full and you can go to a civilian doctor’s office.

If only I could give this clinic 0 stars! I have only seen my primary care provider here 4 times in the past 5 years, and every time has been a complete joke. Last time, I was 5 minutes early for my appointment, but had to wait in a long line. Got checked in 5 minutes after my appointment, due to the wait (and there only being 1 front desk clerk), I was turned away. I only wanted a referral to OB/​Infertility Clinic at NMCSD. I had to reschedule, and the appointment literally took 3 minutes.
This morning, I went for GI issues that have been persistent. I was given a gamut of possibilities, to include PMS symptoms, urinary tract infection, food intolerance, and «a bug». I left with a bottle of prenatal vitamins, that I requested, and no answers to my stomach issues. What was the point of going?
To top it off, a young HN called my name, took my weight (I had to ask her to speak up because I couldn’t understand her), went back to the office, verified my full name and birthday and then asked if I was there for a well woman exam. I said «no, do you have the right chart?» I looked and the name was completely different. I said «That’s not me», her reply? «Well this is who I called.» What is the point of a patient verification if you don’t VERIFY what the patient is saying???
This place is a joke… And if it wasn’t for my own work in the healthcare field and my own 13 years of military service as a hospital corpsman, my trust in the healthcare system, based solely on my experience as a patient at this facility, would be non existent.

The place is great and the staff is great too, but there is always military assholes coming & yelling at their staff. I wonder why they let them yell at their employees, shame! some of the staff is friendly, some other ones are just straight attitude bitches, Cynthia & lauren, they really suck! anyways… except for the military assholes

Immunizations department doesn’t even deserve a star. Why do they NOT wear gloves!!! And where the f*** is the hospitality!!!

Optometry
After my demobilization, I made an appointment here to get a new glasses and see if I have laser surgery. First the lady that checked me in was very rude and unprofessional. Will never go back there and I wasted my time.

This review is strictly for the immunizations department. THE WORST service from a supervisor. I am not one to be rude, not rude first anyways. I explained to the supervisor that I would not be able to bring my son in for his TB reading, and my husband would have to do it. She looked at me and said «YOU NEED TO LEARN TO BE THEIR FOR YOUR CHILDREN.» I thought to myself– EXCUSE ME? I work at a very strict job TO PROVIDE for my children, she had no right to say anything like me. Im appauled. and shocked that she is even a supervisor.

Hands down THE best branch medical clinic I have ever been to. Rarely a long wait for labs or pharmacy. Dr Jensen is the best PCM I have ever had. The staff always goes above and beyond to help me with my needs.

Was seen right away and they did a great job.

It isn’t horrible, just another military medical facility. I was seen at the time of my appointment, so promptness wasn’t an issue. The doc was knowledgeable and helpful, so no worries there. The only issue I noticed concerned the not-​so-​pleasant civilians at the orthopedic check in counter. They acted like I was bothering them and forcing them to do their job. A smile every now and then or acknowledging someone has a large affect.

No complaints… Went here for some blood work once and then for an overseas screening. Just like any other military medical facility I’ve visited…

Appts are always 30 – 90 minutes behind. If you don’t arrive 15 min early they cancel you.
Docs and nurses are GREAT and professional. Don’t bother going to the pharmacy if you are not in uniform. It will take all day, go to Balboa or just get your doc to do a mail order. Great eye clinic. Awesome hearing test clinic. Labs go quick as does X-​ray. Junior guys in the records section sometimes can be rude and unprofessional.
