Ugh… I feel obliged to give them a third star because they have a buy one get one for 5 cents sale on some damn good beers. They also have a solid beer selection. When I first moved to OB about a year ago I met the owner and he pointed me in the direction of some epic sour beers and gave me a discount as a welcome to the neighborhood. I thought I found my spot. I came in here pretty regularly after work to pick up a nice craft beer and go back to emails. The expression«Champagne taste and Beer Pocket Book» doesn’t really fit so well in San Diego. My champagne bottle tend to run around the seven dollar range and a good craft beer I’ll justify $ 20 and they have some rare finds. Fast forward after months of frequenting this place on the reg. I walked in after a 7 – 11 run with my friends and dude working there came out to accuse me of stealing the peanut butter m&m’s I was eating after buying booze there. Home slice ran all the way out from behind the counter and approached me. Decided to give it another shot, and got charged for cups the next go around. I’d rather not spend obscene amounts on alcohol here with that kind of service, but the beer selection occasionally brings me back in.

Best convenience store in OB and surrounding areas! Bobby and his staff are always so nice and friendly. The new OB Deli is amazing! Such great, quality meats, the portions are very generous and the price is right. I love the touch of incorporating local street names for names of the sandwiches. I ate mine too fast to snap a photo to share :) Thanks Bobby!

The new OB Deli is delicious! It is no longer a Subway. I think they just opened it this week. I highly recommend it. Everything was fresh and made perfectly. Yum!

Great service and selection! I walked up here from dog beach to grab some water and a sandwich. The employees were extremely pleasant and helpful. They also have a few tables outside in case you have your dogs with you. Their prices are quite reasonable and their wine selection is awesome for a convenience store!

The best tasting Subway I have had the delight of consuming. My sandwich was created by a true food artist with each item craft-fully placed on a super fresh bread roll. I highly recommend this Subway that is tucked away inside a liquor store /grocery store. This location adds to the convenience of picking up extra items for a picnic at the beach or last minute get together.

Went to the subway inside the liquor store at 6:15pm on Friday May 22. Just putting that for management to figure out who this was… First the store cashier had to call a subway associate from wherever in the back because I was just standing there at an empty counter for several minutes, then I dark haired middle aged woman possibly named April(didn’t get the whole name tag but it started with A) comes out scowling and rudely asks what I want. I was still deciding and she persisted to solicit the most expensive sandwiches to me. I asked for a footlong meatball marinara and there were like 3 meatballs in the pan in the hot table. She scoops them out onto my sandwich and tells me she needs to go get more from the freezer and she can microwave them really fast. not asks tells and again with an extremely hostile tone. she asked if I wanted it toasted and rolled her eyes when I said yes please. the final icing on this crap cake was when my sandwich was finally ready she asked a customer to open the freezer door and yell back there for the other subway associate. when he came out she told him to ring me up and he had to go find some card for the register that took several more minutes. the transaction took almost 20 minutes from start to finish and I had my baby in the car. I come to subway because it’s somewhat healthy and affordable but most of all its quick. I’ve managed fast food restaurants including Chipotle where the setup to make the food is very similar and I’ll tell you what if I had an employee that couldn’t keep the hot table full of food and clean with absolutely no customers, they would be shadowing me until they could. and if they could not treat customers at least with common decency and respect, they would no longer be employed by me. everyone has bad days and it’s really not that big of a deal but if this individual is always like this it’s a parasitic drain on the reputation of the establishment and on the business directly. I will still go to subways but not this one, I was very tempted to just walk out with my sandwich half done…

I like this place a lot, being an ob local this place is super convenient. I love that they have such a variety on their menu for simply being a liquor store originally. And it’s also very good quality. My little brother had the Reuben sandwich and he said the sauerkraut in it was really good.(My mom is from Austria so we know have good sauerkraut experience) I come here for the acai bowls and they are definitely delicious. I wish they would put a little more fruit and granola, but still tasty. They also have my favorite julian cider here which is not always easy to find, so plus for that also!

I have been here once and it was a great selection at an unbeatable price with incredible service! I paid $ 13 for 12 shock tops. They are usually like $ 15 – 16 for 12 if you can even find it at most stores. You won’t find a better service because when I went to buy one 12 pack the guy said I would save a dollar if I bought two 6 packs. It’s hard to find service like this most place so I will be buying here in the future.

delicious acai bowl — now available in small size for $ 4.99! even that size is very sharable with another person. i will admit this is my only experience with an acai bowl(i know, gasp, i am not huge of the«fad» foods and just got what the mood struck me), but I have a feeling its a good one. loads of granola, berries, coconut and fruit packed on top of the frozen acai sorbet. so yum. this place has a million options for ordering food, as well as cafeteria-style items up front. and then the standard liquor stuff items. its a great all-in-one place along the newport drag. stop by on a warm day for the acia bowl! you will be happy.

Great selection of beer. 1 star because their«Build your own 6 pack» rack is all expired beer and they don’t give any indication. No one should sell expired beer.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for almost 20 years. Bobby(the owner) is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever known. I am the kind of person who likes to spend my money in businesses that I feel like actually appreciate my patronage. If you feel the same then give this place a shot. Plus they have a huge beer and wine selection.

I just wanted to say the guys at OB Quick Stop Market are amazing! I lost my wallet and they took the time to locate me and held my wallet for me until I was able to get there… I spoke with Bobby the Owner on the phone and he was so incredibly kind & sweet. When I picked up my wallet, they wouldn’t accept cash from me and I was just so surpised that there are still such good people in the world. Thank you guys for being an example that we can all still be kind & helpful to one another. I appreciate your example more than you know and I’m sure your business reflects this positivity! Best Wishes & Aloha!

Not much I can say about this place that hasn’t already been said, but what the hell, Im’a say it anyway. Prices are great across the board, and you can’t beat the 93 cent singles up by the register(most places who tried this would have whatever swill o’ the day they were trying to get rid of, but no no, this is all pretty good and unique stuff). The Subway, on the rare occasions I’ve partaken, has been as good as a Subway gets, I suppose. Thing is this: you could take every bit of the inventory in this joint, at the same price, and put it in another store run by different people… and I’d probably never step foot inside. It’s the employees here that seriously make me spend my dough in this store and nowhere else. Bobby is incredibly kind, and his staff(and the Subway staff too) are all very super pleasant too. I love my town, but let’s face it, customer service isn’t always a priority. It is here, and that’s why OB Quick Stop will always get my boozin’ money.

One of the worst Subways I’ve been to. They’re extremely stingy with the veggies. The rest of the store seems fine, though if I’m hungry I’ll go to the other Subway in OB(Cable and Newport).

Came into the store looking for a snack for my Grandson yesterday and there was nothing but candy. I walked over to the Subway section and asked about a healthy snack and he asked me if I was interested in a Sandwich. I was not, not for a 1 year old. He directed me to the sliced green apples and juice box which worked perfectly. They thought my boy was adorable, they shook hands with him and we left. Good job guys on the customer service!

Bobby has an amazing selection of beers on his shelves here. Tons of stuff from Telegraph, Dogfish, Alpine, Belgians, sours, etc. Also, and this is the kicker, he does these insane deals pretty often where all the beers are half off. No catch(other than it has to be cash). All you have to do is add them to your twitter and when he posts a deal you will know. He doesn’t post anything unless there is a deal so it is a win win. His twitter is @obquikstop

More choices than any 7 – 11 and way friendlier than your average liquor store! These guys are hilarious! I’ve often left this store with a smile on my face and not just because I am carrying an arm full of party juice. All the guys behind the counter have a great personality and are pretty sarcastic so be on your toes. Bobby really loves his customers and it’s evident if you ever talk to him while he rings you up. Bonus: Having a Subway inside helps streamline your trips since OB Quick becomes a one stop shop for all your beach and party needs. SUPERBONUS: Seriously the best deals in OB. Sales are always rotating but you’ll never leave unsatisfied!
