Olhausen Gamerooms & Outdoors

Just had Olhausen Gamerooms put new felt and Olhausen cushions on my 1903 Brunswick Pool Table. Sam is a master technician who took a 113 year old slow playing table and made it lightning fast. His assistant Robert was courteous and learning the trade well. Outstanding people who did a really professional job. It doesn’t get any better than the Olhausen’s!!!

I spent a lot of time preparing in the Kearny Mesa showroom. It took me a few months to clear out my room for the pool table I picked out. Gloria was a doll and so attentive to my needs and never tried to sell me what I was not looking for or that would be a fit for my room.
Jay was also extremely helpful on days Gloria was not there. They both provided a measuring chart to assure what size table would fit and provided cue to bring home to measure. After my 8 visits I never felt rushed or felt that they were tired of my questions and persistence on finding the perfect table.
At the end we chose a table that was a perfect fit and they customized some sticks for me to assure better side shots. The owner Brian was great in his follow up and offered any assistance if I needed him.
They are a good team there and provided a great purchasing experience and very timely delivery. They squeezed me in and got me my table just in time for a special weekend. I would highly recommend buying from this store and team.

I have had these guys over three times now, once to change my felt and twice to help with moving and then resetting my table during a tile floor job. They are friendly, reliable, knowledgeable and reasonable.

I have been researching pool tables for some time and was impressed with the reviews and ratings for Olhausen pool tables. I visited the Kearny Mesa branch to clarify a few things that I wasnt able to garner on the website — namely what constitued the rails and the construction of the legs. It is a beautifully appointed shop to be sure. I was greated nicely by the manager and a female (elderly) salesperson with an east coast accent and a smokers face. She happened to be working the floor. She approached and I asked whether the rails were natural and she said they were natural gum also adding something about biochemist (i assume a chemical engineer and engineering with the rail). I responded that that sounded a bit like they might be at least partly synthetic. She responded by asking me «what is your problem?». Quite a question for someone in the business of selling tables and completely uncalled for in my estimation. I then asked about the leg constuction on the tables — she said that all the tables are constructed the same. This is patently untrue so I pointed out to her that the Chicago model is constructed differently and I didnt think she knew what she was talking about — when treated unpleasantly I can certainly push back.
Mind you these people are in the business of sales so:
1) They should know their product better than do I
2) They should pleasantly field questions from shoppers
I spoke with the manager who appeared apologetic and told him I was really prepared to buy a high end table that day and that his salesperson’s attitude persuaded me otherwise. This woman (cirrhotic liver and smoker’s face) need to go. Sales is about imparting your expertise and treating your customers with respect. The customer will respond in kind. Dump this lady — your products are good, but they wont sell themselves!!!

I stopped by today as I needed to grab some pool cues and a couple of pockets for a billiard table at work. Had called in the day prior to verify they could hook me up with what I needed. Sure enough, they were the go to place for me.
I spoke to Jay over the phone and he recalled speaking with me previously. He showed me exactly what I was looking for and even hooked me up with a great deal for everything. It was a quick easy stop. Thanks Jay!

Buying a USA Made table was important to us. When we started shopping around, we were having a hard time finding any and were repeatedly disappointed by the cost and quality of numerous import tables. I do a fair number of wood working projects of my own and am very particular about attention to detail, and was not impressed by the overall design and construction of several tables we inspected. We finally stopped by Olhausen, having heard about their quality reputation, and expected the prices to be significantly more. We were shocked at the quality and craftsmanship that you could get for about the same amount of money. Gloria was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through the history and constuction of numerous tables and accessories. On installation day Sam and Dalton arrived on time, and were very friendly and professional, taking great care to assemble the table. They were very meticulous and answered any questions we had about the process, and left the room just as clean as they found it. The table plays perfectly and looks amazing. We also picked up a Multicade arcade game and love it… brings back the memories of all the great classics! We’ve already been back in a couple times to get accessories and have our eyes on some game room decorations as well. Everytime we’ve been in we notice more things that we «need»! It’s a great place for fun spaces! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Incredible customer service, great prices. Came in w/​a client shopping for a pool table and poker table for a casita gameroom. Jay was incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, & professional. We wanted more of a modern California look, and the only two gameroom manufacturers out there offer very traditional old school products. He called the manufacturer to make us a custom table that had a poker reversible table-​top but with a pub pedestal base. He also helped us modify an existing barstool to be fully upholstered to give us the Pottery Barn look we were going for. The end results were exactly what we wanted, but we didn’t have to pay any add’l cost for the customization thanks to Jay.
Jay was upfront about deadlines, knowing we needed a short turnaround for a party. He didn’t make empty promises to get the business, he delivered on-​time and followed up with us throughout the process. When they called to schedule delivery, we had forgotten to purchase the pool table accessories, but Jay had already taken care of it and included it when we placed the order because he said it’s no fun to get your pool table and not be able to play. The starter kit had 4 cues + wall-​mounted rack, set of balls, and rack. Awesome.
We couldn’t be happier. While the products are mostly the same wherever you go, excellent, honest customer service is what makes Olhausen rise to the top and turns stressful major purchases into an easy one.

My wife and I bought our first pool Table @ Olhausen 25 years ago. We had it recovered 2 years ago. Brian came out and replaced the bumpers and installed new felt. He was very efficient and professional. We went to their new store to get a pool cue fixed and ended up getting a set of new balls, another cue, pool table cover, and 3 theater seats! All delivered the same day! Excellent service and a great value! Thanks again Brian!

I’ve been going here for many years and have always had the best experience. Brian is always the #1 guy I deal with. He is very knowledgeable, does not bs you, and most of all he has the best customer service and is there to help you until the end.
Recently my wife and I decided to add another addition to the house. To Olhausen we go. :) We get there and I always want everything lol but to my surprise they now have hot tubs. Brian showed us there line up of options and they even had a few full of water running to demo. I was so impressed with the quality and craftsmanship in these tubs and so many options. After drooling all over the tubs he sent us home with brochures, and pricing.
After a few weeks of us choosing the size we want, colors, jet system etc… we decided lets do it! Went in and saw Brian and had him order it up. We are so excited and cant wait to use it.
If you have or haven’t already been to Olhausen before I highly recommend going and dealing with Brian.

The product speaks for itself, but the service was all around fantastic.

American made, GREAT quality Pool Tables in San Diego, awesome arcade games, Shuffleboard Tables, Jukeboxes family owned and amazing staff! Had a great experience and love that they give away a free cue with a case every month! If you want a game room for your home or office, this is the best place to go!

Went in for a new set of darts and they had a wonderful selection! Also, the girl at the counter let me open up the two packs I was interested in and ‘try’ them out. Great store, and great service. I’d give five stars, but have only been one time. But I would deffently go again, in a heart beat. I’ll re-​review once I go back, and if the experience is the sme then I’ll up it to 5 stars!
