History

Established in 1996.

Kathy started her business in response to seeing many unmet needs while working in business development and marketing for 19 years. She was also a San Diego County Sales VP, and Sale Manager in the Title Insurance Industry. She was one of the very first 2 dozen coaches in San Diego and a Charter member of the International Coaching Society. Kathy is a certified coach by Coaches Training Alliance, Nobel Purpose, and the U of Penn Authentic Happiness with Dr. Martin Seligman, founder of Positive Psychology. She has coached thousands of hours and hundreds of clients. Kathy is a past President & VP of BNI, & past board officer of the San Diego Coaching Alliance. Kathy also served as past President of Women’s Impact Network and was honored as Woman of the Year. She hosted the Professional Woman’s Network for over six years in Carmel Valley. She enjoys business and making a positive difference in the world one person at a time. She leads workshops and blogs at her website, and Facebook.

Master Mind Ms. Kathy Nelson is a spectacular lifestyle business coach. I carefully selected her because she is a highly trained and experienced mentor who will guide you. She has developed many skill sets over time, and to save time, give her a telephone call right now.
Her fees are quite reasonable compared to other «kumbaya» coaches. After several misfires and a drain on the pocketbook, other coaches lacked the business credentials. They could not keep up with me! Are you serious about entrepreneurship and launching your own startup? She is the one to engage head-​on for personal and professional endeavors.

Hi, my name is Timothy. My girlfriend helped me find Kathy through google. I went to Kathy seeking coaching for interview skills that I needed for application processes through law enforcement agencies.
While talking on the phone, Kathy was informative, friendly, and helpful. I set up an appointment with her for the following week.
My appointment was very helpful. Kathy helped me see the qualities in my life experiences, and how to apply them during an interview. Taking what I learned from Kathy, I practiced, and followed up with another appointment with Kathy for a «mock interview». My two appointment were a month apart, but Kathy remembered every personal detail despite her busy schedule. She is very dedicated and professional.
Kathy’s tips and techniques helped me pass my interview with my dream agency. The road to employment is still long but a big hurdle has been overcome. I thank Kathy for helping me overcome this challenge. She has a great set of skills and knowledge, and I do believe that she can help anyone.

I would have never thought that the struggle and challenges that came from being a new mom, working full time and also trying establish a career would lead to some of the most unforgettable experiences that would ultimately lead to extreme fulfillment and happiness. But if you would have met me a few months ago, you may have picked up that I was bitter, annoyed, on edge, and for a lack of a better phrase, just, a walking b-​i-​t-​c-​h. If you don’t believe me — just ask my husband! I blame some of this to hormones but also, I was frustrated because I was having a hard time understanding what I was trying to do, accomplish and be. I didn’t have a plan… and for me, this is a big deal. Don’t get me wrong, I can roll with the punches and be fluid, but if I don’t have a plan, framework, or foundation to fall back on, then I just go insane.
Now that I was married, with a newborn, and no plan for the next 10 years, 20 years… I was anxious and frustrated. I kept trying to make a plan but it just didn’t come easy for me like it did when I was in my early twenties. I was determined to get over this darn «funk» and I did. One of the best decisions I made towards getting help was hiring Kathy as my coach.
Kathy, really helped me to identify my values, gain clarity as to what is truly important to me while helping me achieve a realistic balance between all of the components of my life that make up «ME.» In clarifying what it is that I want and how I want to get there, she was and has been instrumental in holding me accountable and on track! I’m sure there are many coaches out there but I personally admire Kathy because of her authenticity and lively spirit! Kathy is so genuine, fun, wise and professional.
So what was it about Kathy that had me saying «yes?»
* Well first of all, she was very fashionable with her bright coral nails, nice sandals and cute hair but secondly, she kept up with my thoughts and conversation and had brilliant comments to add and provided such wisdom at that initial consult that made me feel a whole lot better automatically.
* She also had a plan and was organized in terms of what the next steps would be
* There was something about Kathy’s energy that told me this was the right thing to do
In working with Kathy a little over 3 months I can finally say that I wake up every single day happy and look forward to the day. I’m happy with where I’m at and have a clear direction of where I want to go. My boss’s boss even made a comment to me today and said,” I just wanted to let you know that I’ve noticed a shift in you these past 3 – 4 months and I wanted you to know that others are seeing it as well. They are providing great feedback on how strategic you’re being with clients and you’re also very engaged. Just wanted to let you know you’re doing a great job!”
I have clarity, purpose and direction now. And most importantly… I’m not afraid anymore!!! I finally feel like the «life that I’m living is my message.» Thank you Kathy for being your authentic self and providing your wisdom, experience and encouraging words!!!
