I’ve been going to PBUMC since I moved to town in 2004, and this is my favorite church of any I’ve ever been to (in the whole country!). It is such a diverse group; old/​young, families/​singles, gay/straight.the only diversity it lacks is ethnic, but you can blame that more on the location in PB than on the church.
The morning services have excellent music, and Pastor April actually thinks before she gives her sermons (which is rare among churches, I think!). There’s also a recently started evening service called RIZE that’s more contemporary and led by another very charismatic pastor. The music in the evenings is more modern gospel, and I would say its great, but I’m biased since I sing in it…
