Tammy is amazing, professional and she takes care of her customers. I had paint and some body work done to my car and so I needed a rental. She took me to the rental place and made sure I got a good price on it. She also compared prices for what the work should have costed me and what she was giving it to me for, which ended up being lower than the competition. All in all I had a really great experience with her and with all of the people working at her shop. I would come back (but hopefully won’t need to haha) and will tell my friends about this place too :)

We have been to several auto shop, but this one is the best service of all! They fixed our car hit by someone only a couple of days with their very professional skills, looks like brand new.
Our car is Mercedez E500, we left our car and and picked up the rental car according to our case issues, after we left the rental car shop a few minutes later, we got the phone call from them said farmers insurance denied our rental car agreement because we picked up the expensive car! This is very confusing us because we did not ask for additional request just followed the enterprise company’s staff to choose the one of three same lever car they offered to us! We have to go back to the auto shop and ask for what is the issues, a very nice lady replied us they can take care of this. Yesterday we went back to picked up our car and returned the rental car, Pacific Ocean auto shop ’ s staff said they will take care of this issues and call the enterprise rental car company do not charged us because we are their customer! He also told us if we have any problems with this car, come back anytime!
Pacific Ocean auto shop staff contract and keep promising, best services, 5 stars!
We don’t understand farmers insurance company, why the rental company only should offer the car level below 25 – 27 $/​per day? Is there any wrong with the rental car company offered us around the same level car as our Mercedez E500?

Great overall experience! Friendly staff, highly efficient and cost effective. After the paint job on my front bumper the car looks as good as new. Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

Don and the staff at Pacific Coast Auto body are friendly, professional, responsive and do an absolutely fantastic job — daughter’s Toyota Corolla was hit with a huge dent — the car looks great and like brand new — Daughter is so happy with her «New’ Car.

Don was great and did an excellent job. He fixed a paint chip I had on my car and now you can barely tell where it was. I am super happy with the results.

WHAT A FIND! This is a fantastic body shop. I have a 2005 BMW and the front bumper fell off. I had taken it to one of those «Bumper Shops», and I was told I would have to buy a new bumper and they would install. It was going to cost hundreds of dollars and that was with an after market product. Then, a friend of mine recommended Pacific Coast. These guys are friendly, fair, and skilled at what they do. Rambo is amazing. He was able to re attach my bumper, did it while I waited, and did a great job, and the price was far below what I expected.
I left there with my bumper properly and securely attached and it’s the original. And, they also had the fog light bulbs, too! Great place. They do what’s right for the customer. 3 cars in our household, two are with my 17 and 20 year old sons. IF I need a body shop, this is where I am going.

This shop does AMAZING work that lasts. I had my Charger fixed here 4 years ago after someone literally drove up the side of if back to front Pacific Coast did a great job you would never even know it happened! Still looks great to this day. I got my car in 7 days as promised and the staff was professional and polite. I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

Focusing on reviews sent in by people who actually had work done here, and disregarding those that seem to have some political agenda, I decided to give them a shot on some long neglected repairs. Nice people, reasonable $, good enough work that I immediately brought in a 2^nd car. They’ve been around forever for a reason. happy customer. Will use again as soon as the wife bashes in her bumper again. Which she will.

I had a pretty negative experience at this shop and I’m not happy with the service or the work that was performed on my car. I took my car in for an estimate several months ago after being recommended by my insurance agent, I actually met with Don and he was very nice and provided me an estimate. I had to wait several months to put the car in the shop as the person who had hit me was uninsured, I live in Carlsbad and was willing to bring my car all the way to this place as it was highly recommended. As I was heading out of town I called the shop the week before to let them know I was ready to bring it in so they’d be prepared with any parts they’d need to order. I got a gal on the phone that was very un-​friendly and not a person I’d have answer the phone if this was my business. I was trying to make an appointment when she said «just bring the car in,» I said okay well do you need my name, #, license plate and again she very shortly said, «just bring it in.» I didn’t have a very warm and fuzzy feeling and I even mentioned to my friend on the way over there that I didn’t want to give them my business as I didn’t like how I was spoken too. At this point I had no other option and didn’t have the time to go somewhere else, get an estimate, etc. When I pulled up that day Don was there again and I said I’m here to get my car fixed and he said okay well let’s take a look and see what we need to do. I basically just left the keys, said I already had an estimate, the gal who answered the phone said you’d have everything and get it done and walked out; according to her they didn’t need any information from me upfront so I didn’t feel I needed to waste my time by going through all those steps again when I had called the week prior to be organized. I didn’t have a good feeling but I honestly believed the work performed on the car would be satisfactory… I’ve been out of town and just gotten my car back as my parents picked it up and my Father is very unimpressed with the work that was done. I don’t have a fancy car and have some other small scrapes on it but he said the black paint has an orange look to it, apparently that’s a cheaper paint to use. They had to fix the trunk door along with the bumper; however the plastic ledge in between the two (see pic attached) wasn’t replaced and still has scratches on it. I had a bad experience with the claims department on this accident so the experience of getting it fixed was the last straw for me also. I wouldn’t recommend this place, as a car owner you can ask your insurance provider for several options to get your car fixed and I would highly recommend taking the time to get estimates from a few places until you feel comfortable with your decision.

I don’t know what to say. I had a great experience here the first time I used them, and then I had to go back a second time about a year later after a parking lot fender bender. And the second time was awful.
I won’t bore you with the details, but the essence of it is: (1) the repairs were only supposed to take 1 to 2 weeks, but they kept my car for nearly 7 weeks; (2) when I finally got it back, it had a large crack in the windshield that had not been there when I dropped off my car; and (3) after I got my car back, I found an error in how they’d reinstalled some things and so had to take it back AGAIN to be fixed (for the windshield and the re-​installs).
And on top of it all, this time the were totally uncommunicative about everything and I had to keep calling to move things along. I wish I’d had the same great experience I had the first time, but the second time it was anything but.

They said they could do a repair for us and then flaked out at the last minute. They left us high and dry without any resolve.

I called on Tuesday, December 18 to make an appointment for 10 a.m. on ¹²⁄₁₉. My insurance company gave me this company as an «recommended» provider for some body work I needed after an accident.
I showed up at 10:01 a.m. and his service tech wandered in and asked «Are you here to see _​_​_​»? (I forgot the guy’s name.) I said «Well I’m here for an estimate on body work. I had a 10 a.m. appointment and I’m not sure who it was with.»
«OK,» the tech said. He just left but is coming back. Let me call him. So the tech steps out and comes back in a minute later with the phone and said «he wants to talk to you.»
«Hello?» I said, into the cell phone the tech called him on.
«Hi. Go ahead and leave the car and I’ll write a list of what needs to be done and will call you back. I don’t really take walk ins.»
«I can’t really do that. I drove the car here.»
«Well I’m sorry. I don’t take walk-​ins.»
«I’m not a walk-​in. We made an appointment yesterday on the phone for 10 a.m. today!»
«Oh! What is it you need?»
«Body work. I was in an accident and the insurance company recommended you. I told you this on the phone yesterday.»
«Oh, so you need an estimate!»
«Yes, and I had a 10 a.m. appointment. I made it with you yesterday. It appears you forgot and thought I was a walk-​in, so I’ll tell you what. I’m going to walk out. I made time out of my day to be here and you can’t be bothered to even remember, much less BE here!»
I hung up the phone, handed it back to the service tech and apologized for my tone and then got right back into my 2012 Mercedes and called another company on the list the insurance company gave me. Then I posted this.

I don’t understand the negative reviews for this place. For one thing, it is always busy – they have plenty of customers. Second, they’ve been around decades. Third, I’ve had repairs done at this shop four times, and I’ve had nothing but great service from them. The work is excellent, and they have real pride in what they do. They just finished a bumper cover repair for me, and it looks great. This was the first time I got an estimate from another shop (just because it was very convenient and I was paying out of pocket), and Pacific Coast beat that estimate by $ 60. Highly recommended.

This shop was the closest to me that AAA had on its list of recommended shops. It has some front end damage from a pole and the suspension took a hit, also starred the windshield. It took 2 business days to get an estimate, then another 2 to get a second estimate when I informed them I would not be using my insurance and would be paying cash – a question they never bothered to ask up front – odd. So then the price plummeted with used parts, ect. A whopping 8 days later my car was finally ready, but I noted that my horn panel-​which was clearly pushed in on this accident – was in the same position. The horn also still did not work. They said they had to remove the fuse as they could not get the horn to stop beeping. I asked why they hadn’t fixed this and they said I could bring it in and they would (after 8 days of paying for a rental car, I was not happy they care was not even really finished – I was now driving a care without a working horn, which is illegal.)
Once I drove it, a sound coming from the front suspension got ever louder.
I took the car back on a Saturday to get the horn looked at, and they were not able to do anything that day, saying they would call around to look for a used panel cover for the horn. I never heard from them.
The sound in my suspension got louder and eventually I took my car to another garage, who fixed my car in 5 hours, explaining that somehow a piece on the suspension was put on backwards and was hitting another part, causing the noise, and there were some cracked parts that were leaking oil (this had been confirmed by another shop too.)
I spent $ 1500 at Pacific Auto Body, another $ 400 on a rental care, and they did a slow, shoddy and incomplete job.

I have used PCAB on three occasions and they are a WOW! Excellent service, great quality. I love a business that is prompt, does what they say they are going to do. Family owned business that works well together. Great shop. Not very close to me but worth driving to. Kudos to them for a first rate shop.

Went back to get my grill and interior pieces painted, they turned out great! Once again Don pulls through and without a doubt did a great job.

Had my Chevy truck fixed here after a T bone accident on the driver side. They kept giving me bogus completion dates and it ended up taking twice as long as expected. When they finally told me to come pick it up, we had to wait an hour while the mechanic was finishing installing the inside of the drivers door. I drove away and realized the door electronics weren’t working. I had to drive back and have him fix it as he wired the door incorrectly. The doors that were used seem to close with a cheaper sound than the original/​passenger side doors. I soon realized that the drivers door was not aligned properly and was rubbing the front of the rear drivers side door. After about a year, the paint began fading on the rear drivers side door.

Dealing with mechanics is a hard business transaction, and dealing with Pacific Coast may really test your negotiation skills. After very tough negotiations with the mechanic, I was able to talk down the price to 25% of the original quote. The body work ended up still being somewhat pricey – but I feel that car body work will always run you a high price.
I took my Honda Accord to Pacific Coast after a parking lot car accident where a Sports SUV smashed the right headlight, the hood, and part of the frame underneath. In addition to this I had them work on a fairly large dent in the left side of my car.
The body work on the front was very good. Most of the parts were new, but the paint looks very even on the the parts they painted over and I’m happy with the work. The left door that was un-​dented looks even – it’s very good – but I can notice that there is a slightly awkward curve. I knew that would be the outcome, because of the complicated nature of the dent, and I’m still very happy with the work here. However, I think that Pacific Coast loses some points for the paint job on the left side of my door that was un-​dented. The color matching is perfect, but I can see the layers of paint that was applied on there and the texture seems somewhat inconsistent from the other parts of the car.
Overall I would recommend this place if you are looking for a more affordable solution where perfect quality is not necessary and you are paying for this job out of your own pocket (not through insurance).

So so work… I have been to auto body shop that can make your car looks brand new but not this place. The damages are still noticeable if I look closely. I have given them a second chance. I have been there twice but I don’t think I would come here the third time.
Don’s are friendly. 2 stars for the work, add 1 for friendly staffs.

If you were a No on Prop 8 voter, boycott Pacific Coast Auto Body.
Owner Don Nordgren, Sr. seemed like a nice enough guy when he picked me up from work to pick up my car from his shop. We made light conversation on the economy, and he seemed to be an Obama supporter, though I was afraid to ask. As it turns out, I should have been, because his business officially endorsed the Proposition 8 campaign which succeeded in revoking my right to marry.
As far as the actual work was concerned, I had a spoiler painted here before and I was happy with them. I came back to get a quarter panel and bumper repaired, and they did a poor job, offering to re-​sand a glaring, rough edge in the paint job where they had masked the pinstriping instead of repainting it. To their credit, after dropping off my car to have part re-​sanded, they ended up repainting the whole job– but they did it without asking, such that I was stranded without a car for the rest of the day. Their re-​done paint job isn’t as smooth as the paint on the rest of the car, and still has visible masking seems in the paint where the body panels meet.
They were supposed to replace a wheel also, but it’s taken them over a month to locate the OEM wheel. Granted, it’s a specialty option, but it’s not like it didn’t come from the factory. I’m just going to ask them to cut me a check from insurance.
The business is family run, with Dad owning the shop, daughter running the front desk and son Don Jr. doing estimates and managing operations. Too bad they supported such a nasty and bigoted ballot initiative. They have permanently lost my business, and the business of anyone who trusts my opinion.
