History

Established in 2008.

Pacific Door and Trim was born out of the end of production building as we knew it. We found that there was a large void in the market for quality finish carpentry contractors who would do what they say and exceed customers expectations on a daily basis. Its been a fun ride and we can’t wait to see what project we will take on in the future.

I grew up and started my training in southern Oregon. My passion for building brought me to San Diego in 2001 where I could work year round in the sun. Since moving here I have had the priviledge of working on many different project ranging from simply installing an interior door to remodeling entire homes for friends and clients. If I had to sum it all up… Live your passions and you will never have to work another day in your life.

I hired Isaac to change 2 swinging doors to pocket doors. When the project was delayed due to his oversight in the location of a vent, Isaac became aggressive regarding receiving payment prior to the work being completed — this was not our agreement. I am 9 months pregnant and alone in my home managing this project. His behavior was inappropriate, unprofessional, and ultimately resulted in me having to find other contractors to complete his work. I strongly advise against hiring this company.

Isaac is a true craftsman. He did a wonderful job repairing two doors that had water intrusion damage. He arrived on time, was courteous, clean, and meticulous. I could not have had a more pleasant experience. I would highly recommend him for a repair.

Called Pacific Door for a small job to prep a door for hanging. Isaac was VERY helpful and he quoted me a price to drop off the door at his shop. Job was finished in less than 2 hours! Door fit perfectly, no problems. I will be calling Isaac for all my door work. Nice guy, very personable. you cant go wrong with Isaac.

It’s sometimes difficult to find someone that is a true craftsman, but I really enjoyed working with Pacific Door and Trim. I’d use them again and again. My project was difficult, but the price was good and I was charged what I was estimated. Good company.

I made an appointment with Isaac to come to my house on Friday at 5pm to give me an estimate for whole house baseboard and a pocket door. I rushed home from work to meet him, by 5:30 he still had not shown up so I called him and left a message. He never called me back, never showed up. Really disappointed, I know things happen in life but a courtesy call to re-​schedule or even a call after the fact to apologize would have been nice. If this is any indication of how Isaac and Pacific Door & Trim does business, I would stay far away from allowing them to do any work.

Isaac came and trimmed a half inch off the bottom of our bedroom doors so we could put in t-​molds for new wood flooring. He showed up early and did a great job for a very reasonable price.
He also adjusted the doors so they closed smoothly and quietly for no extra charge.
It is always a pleasure when a craftsman exceeds my expectations.
I give him my highest recommendation.

We have had several new doors installed by Pacific Door and Trim. Isaac is terrific to work with and does an absolutely wonderful job. Our house is built 1925 and thus remodeling work can be challenging, but he is very talented and finds solutions that result in a great finished product. We will definitely have them do work for us again.
