My favorite thing here is the chilaquiles!!! Please get them, eggs over easy, with their unlimited pickled carrots, beets, and other veggies. This is so amazinnnng. Their breakfast burritos are not as great as other places in San Diego, but they have unlimited chips and salsa. Olé!

First time here and definitely won’t be my last when I’m in town. The chicken fajita plate is humongous and super delicious. Service is great and place is clean… just the way I like it!

Worst mexican place I’ve ever been to. The hours say that they were closing at 11pm, but when we went in a little before 10 they were already packing up and said that we weren’t allowed to sit inside. Still ordered food because we were already there. big mistake. Ended up with food poisoning for 48 hours. Stay away

They sometimes don’t open on time or they like to close earlier than the hours posted. The food is ok, but I’ve had wayyy better. Service is great, everyone here is friendly except for one girl who works during the day. She’s really rude and likes to say«uhh?» after you ask a simple question like, «do you guys have water bottles?» Prices are fair, good place for a quick fix, if you’re not looking for anything too special.

Has to one some of the best Mexican food I’ve tried. I’ve been to many Mexican food restaurants like Alberto’s or Filibertos and nothing beats this place. Customer service is great, food is amazing, burritos are Huge and Amazing ! If you want good quality tasting Mexican food, definitely come here.

The carne Asada burrito was delicious: the burrito it self was huge!!! For the price it’s more then enough: The place is small but they do have out side seating which is nice: check it out you will not be disappointed.

Tried this place out since I was craving dessert and mexican at the same time. Luckily, everything was next to each other out of convenience! Haha. Anyways, I got the carne asada burrito. It wasn’t bad, but I was wondering where was the bean and rice in the burrito? Seems like a giant rolled up taco. :(I think if I want to get a burrito fix, I’m more incline to stay in the south bay. In addition, the place is a bit small, but there’s outdoor seating as well. The service was pretty quick though!

This is just the beginning of my review… but this is the worst of all Palomino’s locations. They close whenever they feel like it. are nonchalant with every customer order. and destroy rolled tacos with pointless amounts of lettuce. More coming soon.

By far one of thee best Taco Shops in town. I work close by and can tell you I have tried all the taco shops in the area and this top 3. The shop is small but the salsa bar is HUGE. They always give you service with a smile and serve every order with love. If you are in the area or if even if you’re not this place you must try. They are super duper busy for lunch on weekdays so unless you have a lot of time wait till 2 or 3pm.

This place isn’t bad… I’ve been coming for years, just haven’t been here in a while. My partner in crime and I picked up some dinner here yesterday after grabbing some items at Nijiya Market. She wanted a torta(ham and cheese), I got a Surf N’ Turf burrito. We ordered(three) rolled tacos with shredded cheese and sour cream for another person in our group. There were a few people ahead of us and one with a large order… but our food came out in a timely manner. The lady that took our order was friendly. When our food came out she made sure our order was complete and that we had napkins and utensils. They offer chips and have a salsa bar. I like the both the red and green salsa… we got a few little containers of each. The interior of the place is small. The seating arrangement is cramped and seats are stationary versus normal chairs. If the place is packed, you can here everyone around you. However, they do have extra seating outdoors which is nice especially on a beautiful day. We ended up taking our food to go and started eating immediately when we got home. By the time I remembered I wanted to take pictures of our food, it was too late. Oh well next time. Food was good. Everything tasted fresh. There was adequate carne asada and shrimp in my burrito. No complaints about the torta or rolled tacos. Prices seem standard, not too expensive. Not a bad Mexican food joint if that’s what you’re in the mood for.

Filled my Taco Tuesday craving… And did it with a cherry on top! Had the TJ street tacos and they hit the spot. Meat was tender and seasoned to perfection! Can’t go wrong with corn tortillas and the cilantro and onion were fresh! Definitely will be coming back to try other items. The breakfast burrito selections looked fantastic and what was even better was the fact that the prices were reasonable for them too! Definitely glad we gave it a try

Went inside it was empty(no customers) I called out twice and I could hear them talking but no response. Not even a «Just a minute» only what sounded like gossip. Waited 3 more minutes and no service. Sadly I can’t rate the food. Was lookin forward to try this place out. Oh well.

Just damn good San Diego Mexican food. I had a combo with rolled tacos, beef taco and a tostada. All were excellent The problem I have is I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I’ve been to over a hundred taco shops up here and nothing comes close to what people San Diego take for granite. If any normal taco shop wants to make a lot of money open some in Northern California

Way behind the Palominos over Ruffin Rd! I had a better experience with staffs, service, quality and portions than this one! Trust me, you need to try the other one and will see!

This post is for taco shops in Northern California that want to have line out the door. This place along with many other in San Diego just know what is good. I had a combo plate with rolled tacos and a beef taco, fantastic

Was in the mood for a breakfast burrito for dinner and my friend was grabbing food in the area, so I decided to stop here to grab some takeaway dinner for home. I’ve visited Palominos’s other location off Clairemont Mesa Blvd. next to the county operations center, so I was really hoping this place was just as up to par with that one. First off this place is really small compared to the other location and has a small dining room. The salsa bar( ) has the same types of salsas, but it is definitely smaller. Unfortunately they were out of the onions and peppers mix, which is too bad cause that really adds some flavor to your food. I ordered the breakfast burrito #4( ) which came turned out to be on the smaller size of burritos, well it was only five bucks and some change. Inside the burrito( ) was eggs, bacon, beans and cheese. The burrito was pretty good, the bacon was really crispy and they weren’t cheap with it, the burrito was loaded with bacon. What kinda bummed me out was there was barely any beans inside the burrito, so the ratios were really off. So what could have been an awesome burrito, turned out to be really a bacon burrito with a little bit of egg and beans. The super quesadilla with pollo asado( ) was just okay. The cheeses they used inside didn’t taste like the typical Mexican cheeses. For some reason the cheeses reminded me of very mild cheddar-like cheese, kinda bland taste cheese. The pollo asado was plentiful but wasn’t seasoned or cooked very well. Inside the plate it comes with guac, sour cream and beans. The guac was pretty bad, and the sour cream sitting right next to it caused the guac to swim in sour cream. The beans were alright I guess, nothing too crazy. Maybe this location is different, maybe it isn’t. But I definitely like going to the Clairemont Mesa Blvd. location way more, the food just tastes better and the service was way more friendly, the lady here seemed pretty grumpy. The cool thing though is free chips, and the chips are pretty good.

Location: This is in the same complex with Spicy house, Koon Thai Kitchen, and Nijiya Market. It has a parking lot, but it gets pretty crowded and kind of messy. Décor: Looks like a to go place with the plaster like benches and tables. Not really a place to dine in, but we did. Food & Drinks: First, I’d like to start with the salsa bar as it was very interesting offer cucumbers, onions with jalapenos, and limes along with the salsas and pickled carrots. Those first three were more unusual for me to see and was quite happy with that selection. The salsas on the other hand felt very generic, like they came from a bottle except for the green one which had a nice strong cilantro taste(if you like that) compared to others. On the other hand, I got the del mar burrito and it was really good. It was very flavorful and still very moist for a seafood burrito. I was impressed and didn’t really need to put salsa on it. It was also a very big size and they put a generous amount of fish and shrimp compared with other places giving you some fish with a huge flour tortilla. The veggie burrito was okay, but you can always add some onions, cucumbers, and carrots if you want some extra veggies :). Happy eating my friends!

Great chips. Just don’t order the 7 mares. The seafood consists of bloated, fluffy imitation crab, hunks of fishy-tasting fish, and some old oysters. I was afraid I would get sick. I would return for non-seafood items, though.
