Additionally, one of the few providers in southern California of endoscopic microultrasonic periodontal debridement, a «deep cleaning» alternative using a camera to view beneath the gum tissues.

This periodontal practice has been extant for over 60 years with 3 different owners (Dr. Workman being the current and third owner in the series of doctors). This periodontal practice has been in two locations since its inception and has resided at 3330 3rd Avenue since 1982. Currently, Drs. Parker Workman and Robert Hymes work in the practice providing the full range of periodontal and implant therapies available.

Business Owner
Dr. Parker D. Workman received his D.M.D. degree from Harvard in 2004 and certificates in general practice residency (2005) and periodontics (2008) from the UC, San Francisco. Prior to dental school, Dr. Workman was a research scientist studying toxicology, pharmacology, molecular genetics and entomology. Dr. Workman practices periodontics in San Diego, California where he focuses on periodontal plastic surgery, implants (often with CT guidance for optimal placement), as well as, non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease using endoscopic microultrasonic periodontal debridement. Dr. Workman is an active member of many dental societies including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology and Academy of Osseointegration. He lectures on treatment of periodontitis, guided tissue regeneration with bioactive compounds, advanced grafting techniques for implants and dental implants including treatment planning and restoration.
