We found Patricia to be remarkably professional, and she worked with us on everything with the ceremony. We didn’t really have too much of an idea of what we wanted to do, but she helped guide us along the way and really made it a great ceremony. She checked in periodically to make sure everything was fine in the weeks leading up to the ceremony, and was very patient when we had other things occupying much of our time. Patricia is a great officiant and I’d highly recommend her for any couples looking for a good one!

Our wedding planner first introduced us to Patricia, and after meeting with her once we knew we had found our officiant! During our initial meeting she explained her usual ceremony and how everything would work, and gave us several options and ideas as we began thinking of what we wanted for our ceremony. She checked in with us several times as our wedding approached, and even gave us some suggestions and edits for the ceremony flow. Day of, she was at the venue with plenty of time prior to the ceremony and was extremely professional, and so warm and comforting when we needed it — I needed to take a second when trying to say my vows, and she gave me a little squeeze of confidence! Patricia is a wonderful and warm addition to any wedding ceremony, and I would highly recommend her for future engaged couples!

When I found Patricia, I was at my wits’ end. I had chosen my dad to be my officiant, thinking I could put together the whole ceremony and write his speech for him. Two weeks before the wedding, all of my plans blew up in my face because of the pressure of having to do everything… when I had no idea what I was doing. I contacted Patricia after finding wonderful reviews of her on the internet, and on the phone, she immediately calmed me down by giving me some education about what exactly happens at a ceremony and what an officiant says, and she was gracious enough to accept our request to be our officiant.
In the weeks that followed, Patricia gave us a wealth of knowledge: what the officiant can say, vows we can say to each other, explanations for how to do a rehearsal and the conventions/​roles/​order of how/​when/​when everyone goes down and up the aisle. She gave us beautiful templates for officiant speeches and vows that we could customize with her. In the final days, she was there for me when I had trouble writing my vows, and she helped me write them, putting together a draft for me in the way she imagined I would want to write it.
I remember hopping off a golf cart on the wedding day in my big poofy wedding gown (we got married at the San Diego Safari Park, and everyone was transported from the dressing room to the ceremony site on a golf cart), feeling stunned that I was getting married in a few minutes. Then Patricia came up to me smiling, and I was relieved because I knew she knew what she was doing. A lot of our family/​guests were Chinese, and Patricia showed me a surprise: she was wearing her gold necklace with the Chinese character for double happiness! Even her outfit was in a Chinese silk brocade style! What a wonderful touch! Patricia really is very knowledgeable and appreciative of cultures.

My husband and I planned our San Diego wedding from Massachusetts. I found Patricia on Unilocal and we could not be more pleased. She was attentive through the entire process and made us feel so comfortable. We spoke several times before the wedding and she was so warm and helpful. On our wedding day she was early to the site. Our ceremony was personalized perfectly for us. She was so vibrant and fun she made our ceremony so memorable. We were blessed to find her for our ceremony I would highly recommend her to anyone!

We are SO SO happy we chose Patricia as our Officiant! I found her on Unilocal (thanks Unilocalers!) and couldn’t have been more happy with her services. She helped us write our own vows, wrote the verbiage for our ceremony tailored to our wants and needs, and even answered questions we had about getting married in a different county other than the county our license was issued in. People kept coming up to us after asking if she was a relative because she seemed to know us so well. Mind you, we only communicated with her via email up until Wedding Day because we live in San Francisco. Patricia officiated our wedding this weekend and truly did an amazing job. She was the only person we talked to and we knew right away we wanted her for our wedding. It ended up being really stormy outside and some guests got lost so the wedding was delayed almost an hour and she handled it all with grace. Love Patricia! We were honored to have her officiate our wedding and she was amazing. She was so helpful in offering suggestions for ceremony readings and flow. I didn’t have one worry about the ceremony portion of our wedding because I knew that it was going to be perfect due to the thought and time put into it. Patricia was a pleasant camping force on our wedding day and made sure to get our license signed on the big day and helped guide us through that process as well. Our wedding took place on June 5, 2014 and there was not a dry eye in sight!
I was searching for an officiant and found her due to numerous 5 star reviews on Unilocal.It was 3 weeks before my wedding when my last officiant decided to back out due to creative differences in the wording of the ceremony that we wrote. I was in a mad rush to find someone willing to perform a ceremony without ever meeting the both of us as it was a destination wedding and we lived in Sacramento at the time. She really saved the day for us by signing on with us to be our officiant in so little time! All of our interactions before the day was through email and phone conversations and she always replied within 24 hours of any question I had. She added great passages to our written ceremony and on the day of the ceremony, she came a bit early to visit me and calm my nerves right before it actually began.
She has an amazing voice and is extremely thorough in her delivery. She provided enough time during the ring warming ceremony for our rings to pass through the crowd and announced everyone’s names with perfect pronunciation. My husband and I were so emotional that we both cried and she even provided tissues while we were standing! She really thinks of everything. Since we were unable to meet until the day in question, I was surprised that all of my vendors had worked with her before and only had great things to say about her. Their compliments set me at ease as I came to the realization that she is one of the best officiants in the wedding industry of San Diego. I am extremely blessed to have had her perform our ceremony and would recommend her to any bride out there looking for a well seasoned professional officiant for their day!

I called up Patricia and was able to meet her near us in El Cajon while she was down in our neck of the woods for a wedding she was officiating. She brought a book of possible ceremony ideas and vows with her. I was surprised there were so many choices, the combinations you could create were endless! I am not very religious nor is my husband, but was glad there were many many choices that were very meaningful and beautiful. After an hour or so of chit chat, we knew she would be perfect for us.
Up until the wedding, I did not have that much contact with her as I was busy with all my other planning, but she was sure to check in from time to time to make sure we had ample time to review the ceremonies and choose vows. I think this is what I appreciated most because my head was spinning with meetings for this and that, that it was easy to forget about planning the MOST important part of a wedding day…
Day of she was awesome. She came early and assured us all would go smoothly and easily. We chose not to memorize any vows, so we repeated after her and it went well! So glad we chose Patricia.

My wedding planner gave us Patricia’s information initially and she ended up being the first and ONLY person we contacted. We met with her months prior to our Feb. 2014 wedding and felt so comfortable with her.
Immediately after our first meeting, she followed up with everything we had discussed and more.

On the day of, Patricia met with us prior to the ceremony to congratulate us and ease some of our (my) nerves. And boy was she professional! As we were up there, we may have started to be a little silly because of the intensity of it all, and Patricia brought us back to focus on the importance of the words that we shared with our family and friends.

We were married this weekend at Humphreys and Patricia was our officiant. We were a little skeptical because she prettymuch has all 5-​star reviews while being much less expensive as some of the others, but we met with her and felt really comfortable afterwards. Patricia gave us all sorts of sample vows, and we stitched them together with some of our personal touches. When the time came and my bride came down the aisle, she conducted the ceremony with total professionalism. She could even tell my (now wife) was really nervous, and put a comforting hand on her arm while reading our vows, which I could tell helped. We’re giving her 5 stars because we can’t think of a way her part could have been better.
If you’re on the fence, just ask her to get together for a meet and greet and see what you think for yourself.

After we contacted Patricia about being our officiant, she emailed us with a lot of sample ideas, instructions for the rehearsal, information letters, etc. We met up with her at the site to discuss the details. Patricia never made us feel like an inconvenience and she provided quick feedback and suggestions. She was honest at the beginning (ie not needing her there for the rehearsal).
Our wedding started half an hour later than anticipated but she never complained. She visited me in the bridal room to provide me with updates on the situation. For that I am truly appreciative. I am very glad we were able to book her and highly recommend her if you’re looking for a professional officiant.

She is just so professional and friendly that it’s been a real pleasure working with her on the preparation of our big day. She was very helpful and professional with planning the ceremony and gave us plenty of suggestions to help make it as unique to us as possible. She had a number of example ceremonies, both secular and religious, and allowed us to combine aspects from each that we liked, in order to make it a ceremony that fit us. We were a bit nervous going through the whole process but she was very reassuring the entire time.

Patricia did an amazing job at our wedding. From the moment we met, my now husband and I thought she was one of the most loving, caring, and warm people we have ever met. These are all such important qualities to carry, especially since a wedding officient plays such an important role in the ceremony.
We had a chance to meet prior to the wedding. At this time, she really tried to get to know both of us as a couple. We both come from different faiths, so she was able to tailor our wedding to accommodate both of our needs. She sent us a copy of our ceremony prior to the big day to review, and make sure that there were no details missed. After the ceremony, she hand delivered our documents to the County Recorder’s Office.
After the wedding was finally over, we had so many of our wedding guests tell us that it was the most beautiful ceremony that they have ever seen. We really appreciate everything that she did for us! We would highly recommend her to everyone on their special day!

Patricia did an outstanding job for our wedding this past summer! She sent us a lot of different suggestions for ceremonies so we could put together our own personalized ceremony. We really liked the suggestions and ideas she provided us with so that we didn’t have to do a lot of research on our own. She was professional and very personable. Once we wrote up our ceremony, she reviewed it for us so that we wouldn’t miss anything. On our big day, she worked well with all of our vendors and she did a really nice job with our ceremony. We were very pleased with her work and would definitely recommend her.

Patricia is probably the most professional person that I have ever met in my entire life. She takes her role in your wedding ceremony seriously and she is worth every penny.
We had no idea what we were looking for in an officiant when we began planning. Neither one of us has very strong religious convictions, we are not connected to a church, and we weren’t extremely fond of the idea of having a friend get a certificate online to guide us through the most important words that we would be uttering to each other up to this point in our lives.
When we met Patricia, we fell in love. She is easy to talk to, she knows what she is talking about, and she is very accomodating. I don’t know how to explain what we experienced, but when we sat down with her for the first time we both felt like seditives were placed in our coffee because we no longer had a worry in the world. We booked her immediately.
From the time that we met Patricia, to the day of the ceremony, she sent us email updates about where she would be (she is a former travel agent and still travels often), when she would be back, and when she would contact us if there was a question in the in between time… She made us feel totally connected to her at all times which was very reassuring. She sent us several drafts for ceremony suggestions and guided us in chosing words that would work best for us on our day.
On the day of the wedding she checked in with each of us individually, went back over the ceremony, told us when to say what, and told us funny stories to calm our nerves. She is a delight to work with and she slips in and out of the wedding day like a cool breeze.
If you are looking for an officiant she is a real treat!

Our wedding was on 6÷9÷2012. My husband and I were very pleased with Patricia since day one. She is very professional, super flexible and easy to work with. We actually had a separate ceremony prior to the actual day, and she accomodated us with that! She’s such a sweet and caring person. Patricia gave us a lot of guidance in drafting our ceremony details with readings, our vows, and honoring of our parents. Our ceremony was beautiful, with every single detail. She also really connects with the audience, definitely not mono-​toned, as I have heard other officiants sound like. Would definitely recommend to others.

Look up professional in the dictionary. There you will find a picture of the wonderful Patricia Coleman! She is such a sweet, sweet person, and she makes you feel like she’s a close family member that you’ve known for your entire life.
Furthermore, Patricia is so easy-​going. You can have as much or as little control over your ceremony as you want. She has fully written pieces that you can completely use or only slightly tweak, or you can compose an entirely new ceremony of your own. If you choose the later like I did, Patricia will look it over and let you know what needs changed to make it flow better, and she’ll remind you of all the traditional aspects that you forgot in case you want to add them too (although I also never felt pressured to add anything either). I was completely set and good to go on the ceremony weeks before the wedding.
Additionally, Patricia has no restrictions on what you can and cannot do in terms of ceremony style. She told us that she has performed religious, non-​religious, mixed religion, etc weddings. She wants you to love your moment, and she doesn’t get caught up in all the «rules.» We had a VERY traditional and religious ceremony, but I also have no doubt that if we wanted completely non-​religious, she would have made sure it was just as beautiful!
And lastly, as an added bonus, Patricia is so low-​maintenance. She knows exactly what she is doing, she requires little to no directions, and she flows through the ceremony effortlessly. SHE’S AWESOME!
