My name is Jessica, and as long as I can remember, I have been an animal lover. I volunteer at adoption events with the Friends of HSTJ, a non-​profit organization, and donate to various animal rescues. I rescued my own dog Layla, a Boxer/​Beagle mix who has a very high energy level I’m constantly jealous of. As an owner of a high energy dog, I know that exercise is the key to her happiness and in turn mine. While working full time, I know how it can feel to leave your pets alone for 8 or more hours per day. As your dog walker and pet sitter, I can ease your mind and ensure that your pets get the exercise and play time they need to be happy and healthy.

I have always been skeptical of hiring someone to take my dogs on a walk without me since my German Shepherd can be a bit of a terror with strangers. She had ZERO issues with Jess. Both of my dogs warmed up to her so fast, and they are so excited to see her when she comes over. It makes my long 12 – 13 hour shifts so much less stressful knowing that Jess will be around to hang out with the dogs while I’m at work. She sends me pictures of them on their walks, and even writes a little note in a daily journal to let me know how their walks went! If you’re looking for someone to watch your furry children while you’re away, look no further! Highly recommend!!!

I have been using Paws Play for a few years, and they have been such a life saver! They watch my two cats when I am on vacation, and the quality of care gives me great peace of mind while I am away. One of my favorite things is they send me a picture of my cats with a status update every day they come over to assure me that they are well. There was one time my flight got delayed coming back, and I needed them to stop by an extra time, and they made it work even last minute. You can tell they all care about what they do. :)

We could not be happier with Paws Play!!! Our Jackson is a high maintenance dog so we were apprehensive to use a dog walker/​sitter. However, they have exceeded our expectations and Jackson loves his walks and overnights. They go out of their way to provide the BEST care and give you updates/​pictures etc… They are also so accommodating with our schedule and we can’t say enough wonderful things about them !! Would highly recommend them without reservation for walking, sitting or whatever your needs. Love ‘em !!!

We have been using Paws Play for over three years now for our two energetic, lovable black Labradors. We really enjoy our travels knowing that our furry family is taken care of while we’re away. Jessica and Erik have been taking care of our dog Rocco for years. We really enjoy their service and professionalism. So many times they took care of our best friend so we could enjoy a night out or a weekend away. When our daughter was born three weeks early… they were great! They came over right away and took care of our dog Rocco while we were in the hospital.
I can’t say enough about Jessica and Erik’s service except that I TRUST them enough to leave with my best friend in their hands.

Great dog walking service! We have worked with PawsPlay for a few months now for our 2 black labs, and they do such a great job. Our dogs are a little tricky (one not great with people and one not great with other dogs), and they took the time to listen to my concerns and learned how to take care of both of them. A huge relief because we know how hard it is to manage them. All of the walkers that came to our house knew how to handle them, and when needed were just there to keep them company and give them a little break from their long days. Very appreciated! And I love their invoicing system. :)

Paws Play rocks! They’re caring and conscientious. They keep in touch with you when out if town or at work, giving you updates as to how your pets are doing. In the Spring of 2012, my husband and I relocated to San Diego. We brought our sweet indoor cat, Jasper. I found Paws Play and could not have been happier with their kind and attentive service. Jessica, Erik and the Paws Play team have been walking our corgi Sophie for the past year. We’re both busy and can’t make it home every day to walk Sophie, but we know Sophie is in good hands with Paws Play. They provide us with detailed notes on how Sophie did on her walk and texts us pictures of her… their service could not be any better and Sophie looooves them! I’ve been using Paws Play for a little over a year now and can’t say enough about Jessica, Erik and their entire staff! I travel pretty frequently for business and these guys have taken care of my golden retriever Bailey better than any service or kennel I’ve used in the past.

Paws Play has been taking care of our dog for nearly two years for mid-​day walks and weekend vacations. Jessica and her staff have saved us in may spots where we can’t get home when we had planned or unexpected scheduling made it impossible for us to cover our pup’s walks. Recently, Jessica was able to cover our mid-​day walks last-​minute while I was jury duty. I was in denial I’d actually be picked, lesson learned there!
Anyhow, I am so glad that I have Paws Play to provide such great, reliable care for our dog — it certainly brings a peace of mind when life brings unexpected and stressful twists.

I was new in town and needed a pet sitter as I travel for work. I had bad experiences in the past where I hired sitters and they didn’t come over and take care of my 2 kitties. Once I came home and they had no food or water and an overflowing litter box. It was devastating. I was relieved to find Jessica when I moved to San Diego. She always texts me updates each time she does the pet sitting and keeps me posted on how my two babies are doing. I am grateful to have such a good pet sitting service now. I would highly recommend Paws Play to anyone looking for a caring pet service when you need one. My kitty Bentley is very afraid of people and he even comes out to greet Jessica when she babysits for me. So lucky I found this service!!! I always have peace of mind when I am away.

I was very excited after meeting our dog, but their professionalism has much to be desired, apparently making an appointment doesn’t mean squat. I made an appointment for 10am days ahead and the morning of our 1st!!! appointment I get a text early in the morning telling me she“d be at my house AROUND??? 10:30??? At first i thought no big deal so I called to let her know I had other plans at 11am and her response was oh what do you want me to do??? And my scheduled appointment was never going to be exact??? (Doe’s she think she’s the cable guy?) When I asked what happened she told me that she decided to push me back to fit someone else in? This all Baffles me I thought I was the one paying her a couple hundred dollars a month to walk my dog. If your house bound with no life call these people maybe they“ll show. If you have a life call a real proffesional

Our kitties are kind of needy, for cats. They love to play and interact with us, so when we were planning to be out of town for about a week, I thought I should have someone check up on them.
Jessica is very professional and reliable. From the moment I met her, I knew our two kitties would be in good hands. She sends text updates with pics of what they’re up to and she sent us a Christmas card with the pics too! So very thought ful. Reasonable rates as well. She came by a couple times for about $ 20⁄30 minutes. That includes scooping our cat poop too, which I didn’t expect. It’s so worth the money to have the peace of mind that our kitties are ok and not too lonely.

I highly recommend Jessica at Paws Play. She is reliable, professional and runs her business well. I first called Jessica about a year ago right as I was adopting my dog from the rescue. She responded right away and provided her very professional literature including her insurance information. From then on, she left daily notes from her walks, as well as special treats for Halloween and Christmas. My favorite extra touch was the pictures she would send to my phone of the dogs having fun on their walks. She’s a great choice for your pets!

Jessica is amazing! We have two frenchies that adore her! The minute they see her, they light up. It’s very comforting to know that our dogs are in such good hands. Whether we’re out of town for a few days, or the pups are getting their daily afternoon walk, we know that they’re having a blast. I must also admit that our dogs are not the best walkers, but Jessica has been working with us as we’ve been training our dogs to walk better. Thanks to her help our dogs are improving their behavior which is making everyone lives easier. I must also say that Jessica is so accommodating. We’ve had to call her last minute at times with requests for help. She is always so willing to help us out. Jessica is the best! Once you have her help once, you’ll keep coming back for more!

We are out of town a lot and it’s great to know that we can depend on Jessica whenever we need her to take care of Chloe and Luke.
Luke — the ginormous cat — doesn’t like many people, but has no problem with Jessica. Chloe — the lovable dog — adores daily walks and the individual attention she receives afterward while Jessica is also playing with Luke.
We always come home to happy pets and will definitely use her services even when we’re not out of town!
